I have grown tired of your silly games and forgotten names. You have tried to outsmart me, thinking that you were the master of baking blueberry muffins and delectable pancakes. "Harrumph" says I, I says "harrumph" again! As I stroll away into the sunset like an atypical antihero, please mull over these games. But wait, there's more! These games follow the awesome theme of music, well at least until I got tired. Hopefully you will have forgotten what I said by the time you—oh look at that, a pirate cactus (yarr)!
- Streamline - music game by Coolio Niato. Survive the song, you know...the one with that annoying whistle part.
- Nightmares of Leia Ray - Too many games are happy bouncy fun fun time joy. Nightmares of Leia Ray is scary. Dark and scary. It's a pseudo-interactive novel-type game where you click objects to roll the "story" along. Pretty short and not much actual gaming involved, but it's still, you know, scary. Not for younger kids due to the frighteningness involved.
- Jelly Jumper - Sponsored game where you jump from one shiny expensive key to the next. Oh and it has music...in the background...(come on, humor me).
- Moon War - Simple two player war on the little prince's moon! FIRE ZE MISSILES! But I am le toast. Okay, take a nap...then FIRE ZE MISSILES!
- Graveyard of Drunken Souls - From the same site as Run Lil Broccoli and Pants Volcano, try this much more playable game. Graveyard of Drunken Souls is a simple beat up zombies game, but you get cool power-ups and when you kill a hundred zombies (which are red for some bizarre reason), you get a choice of three god powers. I'm not sure what they all do yet.
- Taken - by your love.
- ZoomQuilt II - This is not a game, but a work(s) of art. JIG veterans may remember the first ZoomQuilt, and this one is even bigger. Turn it up full speed for a mind-bending experience or slow it down to soak in the intricate details. There is a screensaver available if you just can't get enough. Note: This art piece contains some elements that could be deemed "mature" including some nudity and macabre imagery, though it seems fairly safe for a work environment.
Remember you can't take it with you.
Cool, Zoom Quilt 2! Sweet!
haha, Takem is awesome/
The god powers for Graveyard of Drunken Souls are as follows:
[close to] invincibility
clears all zombies from the screen
makes stars fall from the sky, the large ones are worth 200 each and the small are worth 100 each if i remember correctly
Please post a cardiac arrest warning on taken! I think i just died
Taken is utterly awesome.
Nightmares of Leia Ray was a bit better, though, I think. It relied heavily on a well-constructed atmosphere. Chilling.
prince? ITS THE TOAST KING <:(
Ahh, link dumps. Always fun times packed tightly into URLs and single sentence reviews.
Taken is hillarius XD
Oh...Taken has to be one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!! It was stunning in its beauty and range of emotions! It's Oscar-worthy! I highly recommend it to all of you!
Taken had me really wanting to see a great story line and I was all pumped. I was so looking forward to seeing a wonderful animation. Then...it ended. :-(
For the moon one, the desccription is from "End of Ze World" Video.
Taken: Great animation, loved the ending.
Moon War: Oh gads, it's Scorched Earth in the round. Coolness. :D
Wow, zoomquilt 2 just blew me away. I'll definitely want to view it again sometime when i am less sleepy. Way cool.
I quite liked all the music games, although i wasnt very good at them. Taken was funny and completely unexpected :)
I got a perfect score of 10000 on music stomp ;)
From what I've seen so far, Harukio bares an unmistakable resemblance in character to one of my friends.
Taken is amazing
I saw it years ago, it's so good
Wow. Taken made me flinch. I was expecting it the whole time, and besides that I never flinch. Impressive.
The music games weren't so great. Streamline and Zap were too flashy for my computer to run (and, of course, it wouldn't let me change the quality). Stomp didn't really take advantage of the music the way the other games, it was just sort of "dodge stuff while music plays in the background". Ping was really cool, kind of like DDR for the mouse, but it was really really hard. It's hard to judge when the circle is going to be just the right size, and the ones where you had to click 3 times didn't give you much of a margin for error.
I may be dumb, but I'm stuck on Leia.
Third? scene, I got the hanging shadow corpse to fall, and now the four handprints flash on the wall. Is there a pattern or something to click them in?
Jelly jumper is pretty cool for an advergame - it's relevant to the product but not too obtrusive (and for all I know you may WANT 20% off Logitech products).
Also, Moon War supposedly has a 2-player multiplayer option. Challenge your friends!
Why has it always to be techno-music? :-(
(goes for all music synched games)
MadWithMuchHeart, think of it like a game of Simon.
make streamline be in the vault
(the new feature thing)
