Clash of Clans: How to Win without spending money

If you don't want to spend money in this game don't worry you can still have a lot of fun while playing. About Gems, keep in mind that Achievements are a good way to get them as well as clearing the debris of your map. Once you are Town Hall 7 or 8 you can rush to the Crystal League, get your reward, and then go back to a lower Trophies level. Thereby you'll be able to have 3 or 4 Builder's Huts.

Enjoy farming and attacking bases, these are cool things of the game. To rush your enemy with a hordes of Goblins is really fun, when it's a success of course. In order to do that it is very important to upgrade your Training camps and Laboratory as soon as possible. Training camps will increase the number of units you'll be able to use during an attack and sometimes 10-15 units make the difference between a win or a loss. Thanks to the Laboratory you'll have much powerful units, so upgrade units as fast as possible. A large and powerful army is always better.

If you decide to upgrade more than one defensive structure at a time, you better have your Resources Storage empty during the improvements. Enemies always scout if one or more of your defenses are down because it is much easier to march into a "weak" base. If you don't want to be stolen manage so that your village is not interesting : few resources. You may also choose to loose Trophies and win a Shield by placing your Town Hall out of the base during upgrades.

Being Town Hall 10 as fast as possible is not really fun. If you only improve your Town Hall, you quickly go to be in front of lower level Town Halls. It involves you will have fewer resources to plunder them, because of lower level resource penalty. It will be harder to find Gold and Elixir to upgrade your defenses, army camps, walls etc. You must learn the Patience, take your time to upgrade your defenses, your walls and your army.

Use cheap units to farm. You can steal a lot of resources with only Goblins, Archers and Barbarians. These are the cheapest units and they're great for farming resources. At Town Hall 4, 5 and 6 you can farm with a whole army of Barbarians, at Town Hall 7 a Barcher (Barbarians ans Archers) army is very effective. You can't attack everyone with these armies but using the "skip" button will help to find the right and wealthy opponent. You always must know the cost of your army, an attack must always be profitable (except in Champions league).

When you farm you must go for collectors first, very often you have an easy access to the Gold mines, Elixir collectors and Dark elixir drills. They are a very good source of... resources. When you attack someone you can steal only 25% percent of his storage but 50% percent of his extractors. A level 10 Gold mine can hold 100,000 gold, so 50% of this amount multiplied by 4-6 mines is a very good loot raid. Don't worry about the storage if you fail to plunder them.

Don't be afraid to "skip" while you're looking for a match. It costs Gold but it can brings you much more Gold/Elixir.

At high level use wisely all the traps, they can be a great help and don't forget to ask troops from your Clan. Traps and Clan Castle Troops can make the difference during a base defense against big raids. A Clan Castle must be considered as a real defensive structure, so must be upgraded quickly, must always be full of troops and placed in the center of your base. Your opponent must not bring out easily the troops from your Clan Castle. These troops must really put down some units of your attacker.
