Here is another one for the Classic games section: Battleships. Played just like the old plastic game of Battleship that used red and white pegs to record hits and misses, except this Flash version does all the hard work for you. First position your fleet on the board, then all you have to do is click on a square to fire torpedoes. The animation and sounds are simple yet effective and the entire presentation is nicely done. For now it's single player only against the computer AI, but this game would rock if you could play against human opponents. Created by Franklin Winters, of Holland.
Does not work!
Thanks, Jeb... I appreciate the heads-up about the link. It's fixed now.
heyas i luv this site im on every day doing cool stuff keep up the good work and get cool games well bye bye. from cool i love ur site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Battleship and am glad to see a nice flash version. But I don't remember getting a free turn after a hit in the board game. That makes it really hard once the computer finds you.
every time I click to open the game, the window opens much too small for me - I can't even see the entire board and have to tab around to find the starting point (where you enter the name).
Thanks, Laurenf. The site has been revamped, and with it the links had changed. Fixed.
The free turn after a hit on this version does not really fit the game.
I recently played a Battleship flash version which had a limited number of airstrikes etc to use. That was refreshing.
Yes, the Battleship game with the airstrikes was loads of fun but I can't seem to find anywhere anymore.
This one is fun too though ^^
Heres (I guess) what you seek
(Battleship game with airstrikes)
In the board game, there are currently 3 known ways to play:
1. Normal (1 shot and the turn ends)
2. Consecutive (You get to go again if you hit)
3. Salvo (1 shot per ship of yours that hasn't been sunk)
The method used for this game is 2.
jay always make cool games like this one cool keep it up please jay we all support you thanks for a nice chat.
Too bad they didn't attempt to elaborate on the classic rules. Great graphics though.
darn, every time I click to open the game, the window is very small, I can't even see the whole board and have to tab around to find the starting point. What can be wrong?
Is there a Battleships game online where we can play against human opponents? A Battleships server?
the computer cheats, it always knows when it has completed the destruction of a ship. a major flaw
Talaw: the cartoon sailor on the right tells you when you have completely destroyed a ship.
