Well, it's almost the end of the year, and when looking back we see there were quite a few impressive and memorable games released this year for every platform imaginable. And the Web game category is no exception.
To help make sense of all the Web games that are available to play, I am compiling a "Best of 2004" feature, which will be put up online here very soon, counting down the top Web games of 2004. In fact, over the course of the next 10 days, you can help me decide which games were the very best by casting your votes for the "Best of 2004". Vote for up to 10 games that you thought were a cut above the rest, or for the ones you keep coming back to time and time again. You will only be able to vote once, so make your votes count. And, I thank you kindly for participating. Click.
Now I have to play all of them. Here goes my day again :)
Tony - As long as that does not keep you from building more games. =)
By the way - If anyone has any difficulty voting, please email me your choices, or use the form mail link on the Best of 2004 voting page.
Thank you! =)
Where's Lightning Pool?

To be honest I think there's only been enough games to fill a top 25 though, the list seems a bit weak in place.
Other than that - great idea and I hope to be back voting this time next year :D
Thanks, for the suggestion, Steve-o. Suggestions help make a better list! =)
However - argh! annoying pop-ups on that site. Probably the reason the game doesn't show up here.
Annoying pop-ups like this comment box, eh? ;-)
Seriously, use the Google toolbar or Firefox and you won't see those popups anymore.
To be fair, those ads probably fund the games so it's just a bit of give and take
To be fair, and with all due respect, that site could have chosen a different way to fund their site than with in-your-face advertising. I choose only the best games I find available that have a minimum of advertising, or have ads that are not so intrusive to disrupt gameplay.
It is the entire game playing experience that I base my decision on, and that takes into consideration any annoyances one must go through to play.
I can live with the fact that this site cannot be all things to all people, as I certainly cannot play and review all of the games out there. So I do my best to offer links to games that I find remarkable in some way, and comment on why I like them. Therefore, you won't find many games here that I do not like for some reason. Life is too short! =)
