- The first, "These great games will cost you nothing", recommends several of our very favorite games from the flourishing Flash game scene.
- The second, "Getting more game for your hard-earned dollar", offers recommendations for getting your game on during these hard economic times.
Some of the information gathered for the column came during a phone conversation Winda and I had recently, and it was a pleasure chatting with her about something we are so passionate about here. Our sincere thanks go out to Winda and the kind people at MSNBC.com for helping to shine a little light on our love, as well as on our own little corner of the Web! :)
I was interested to know what Top 5 games you had recommended until I saw that I had to install a "widget". Would someone mind listing them here?
And, congrats on the positive exposure dude, you earned it.
Thanks, Taybo! :)
You don't have to install a widget. The page there at MSNBC is a little confusing to navigate.
There's a "Prev" and "Next" button to navigate through the article just under the headline.
Congrats Jay!
First G4 (and maybe others), and now this!
Umm..... AGAIN Congratulations!!
Bravo!! This is by far one of my favourite sites... good games, straight to the point, a light and soft tone in writing and a very friendly community. I wish there were more sites like this.
Congratulations to Jay and all the reviewers at JIG.
You all set the bar high, and do an exceptional job. You deserve the recognition.
Great game recomendations Jay. I've been coming to the site for ages and it's been great to see how the site has grown so rapidly yet still finds top quality games, so thanks for all you've done.
I actually still have winterbells bookmarked and always go back to it if I want to play something.
I also read the Wii Music article and learned this women loves cowbells. maybe we should review a cowbell game for her.
However the games were chosen, I was glad to see Flow on the list! What a fun and amazing game! I also liked the additional games listed at the end, and that Knytt was one of those listed. I've known about these games since they were first posted here, but I'm glad they're getting even more publicity through msnbc.com. I'm already in the process of linking the article to some family members who might enjoy it - and hopefully the games too!
Yeah, apparently the solution is more cowbell.
...
What? You set up the shot, I fire my lazers into the exhaust port and blow up the Death Star.
I'm so glad you mentioned Samorost (and I'm so glad she pictured it). It's the game that first brought me to JIG. I think it's the ultimate expression of what we love--art, game, entertainment, story, "cuteness"--the Samorost games have it all.
Nice story, Jay! Kudos!
