DoraDismantlement: Mini Keyboard 2Game.bb, your own personal point-and-click puzzle-themed explosive nemesis strikes again with the latest installment in the popular Dismantlement series, Dismantlement: Mini Keyboard 2. There's a bomb in that thar keyboard, and it's up to you and your trusty screwdriver (still not sonic, darn it) to uncover it by clicking your way around, deciphering clues and solving puzzles. This one might give you a serious sense of deja vu; although the puzzles and solutions are somewhat different, the style and structure is very nearly identical to Mini Keyboard from earlier this year. Is this a bad thing? Or do you welcome another chance to foil Game.bb's dastardly plot to stuff explosives all around the office space?

Wow, I thought the last dismantlement was easy, this one was a 5 minute time waster. I'd write a walk through, but is it really necessary?

Way too easy. Not even fun.

I eti ll like the dismantle games - though I agree: it seemed to be a tad too easy. I remember spending way more time figuring out the puzzles of most of the earlier installments. This one took about 5 minutes.

Still enjoyable though.

Walkthrough

  1. Return the keyboard to read the code, and just type it on the keyboard. (3 9 j s)

  2. Now, you can unscrew the back of the keyboard.

  3. The first lock is to the left, under the blue trapdoor. It says :
    E -> D -> ?
    R -> T -> ?
    C -> D -> ?
    Q -> S -> ?
    Follow the directions :
    from E, to D, continue on C
    from R, to T, continue on Y
    from C, to D, continue on E
    from Q, to S, continue on C (this one is diagonal)
    So the code is C Y E C.

  4. The second lock is to the right, under the white trapdoor. You can easily recognize the pattern with the spacebar to the bottom. So the code is the four letters just above the spacebar : V B N M.

  5. Now, the center puzzle, in the processor. Four symbols, what the heck ? Go back to the front view, pop out the keys you can, they make a pattern from the left arrow to the right one, and on this little path, there are your symbols :
    circle / diamond / cross / star

  6. You can now unscrew the two screws behind the second lock (into the white thing), then, remove the white thing, and unscrew the four last screws to the borders.

  7. Behind the big blue panel is the famous little bomb, and let put ourselves in danger !
    Ok, three letters, with the labels A B and C. Letter ? Keyboard ? Check again the front view !
    WooW !
    So many keys to pop out ! And finally, it remains only three little island, one with A and Q, one with C and D, and the last with B and N.
    So the last code is Q N D.

  8. Yeah ! That didn't blew me up this time ! I think you don't need explanations to dismantle the last parts.

Easiest one ever. o.o

This should have been the start of the series. It's like a Fisher Price, my first Dismantlement.

It would have saved me from a major headache when I began these puzzles, clawing at my hair and screaming, "I don't understand what I'm meant to be doing!!!"

That said I'm not going to let the easiness of this game get me down. I'm just going to pretend it was difficult and feel all superior for solving it so quickly.

Don't judge me!

They're obviously just wasting time, waiting for in-browser gaming technology to reach the point where their ultimate goal becomes practical - Dismantlement: Tokyo.

...the game pretty much tells you how to solve the first puzzle. That is just ridiculous.

Oh, and like playing dismantlement games is usually a productive use of your time?

Easy, but good. A bit short, though.

When I click the dismantlement tag for this review to see other dismantlement games you reviewed,

this game isn't listed. or is that normal?

[Yes, it's normal. Tag pages are rebuilt several times a day, so there may be some delay between the time a review is published and the review showing up in the tag listings. We avoid rebuilding the tag pages during the middle of the day (US time zones) due to the load that script puts on the server. -Jay]

Even for me, this game was really easy - and that's saying something. I love the dismantlement games, though, and everyone's entitled to a hiccup or two. This hiccup made me feel especially good. ;o)

And, as an aside, thanks for the little "black out screen" light when we play games. No more resizing my screen! I dunno how you did that, but thanks for doing it!

Like the last one (Dismantlement: Lunch), there's a competition involved here, so that's likely why it's so easy.

Fun and easy! Time: 7:36, no explosions.

I disagree with other posters who have said this was an easy puzzle. That being said, it was really easy for me to solve (due to my own intellectual abilities).

this one seems half easy... though i'm stuck on the rotating letters question

I have always been terrible at dismantlement games. This is the first time I have finished one. I did need help from a friend for the left side puzzle at the beginning.

I kept on thinking in the form of the alphabet, not the keyboard

So yeah, I enjoyed being able to do this one :)

This just wasn't fun. On the last one I was like "Oh, hey! A dismantlement I can solve without hints!" But this was just too easy. :(
This was the first one that I actually got zero satisfaction out of finishing.
