Dismantlement: Toy Portable Church
As a whole the Dismantlement series of point-and-click demolition games has been one of the most popular ever here at Jayisgames. For a lovely morning treat welcome to the oddest Dismantlement puzzle game yet! Yes, even odder than the infamous burger, Gam.eBB.jp proudly brings us Dismantlement: Toy Portable Church for our puzzling pleasure. Must be a cultural thing, 'cause I certainly don't remember playing with toy portable Buddhist shrines when I was a wee thing...
Per usual with all the games in this series you must bravely tackle your task with only a screwdriver. Reduce this beautiful little toy to its basic components by solving an array of puzzles that involve sound, alphabet, numbers, colors, and Kao-moji. Simply click on areas for a close up (or to manipulate them), and use the arrows and navigation buttons that appear at the sides and top of the screen. Toy Portable Church is a bit unusual in that there is not just a "front" and "back" to the piece, but all four sides of the structure must be solved to make the overall solution work in a nice twist. Of course, all Dismantlement gadgets have that extra-special surprise at their core, and, yes, there is a bomb buried underneath that angry, angry bird. The puzzles are pretty simple but are nicely varied, and this is definitely a fun way to start the day. Just don't mute the sound, otherwise you'll be stuck from the beginning. Wake up and grab a screwdriver!

Toy Japanese Portable Church - Dismantler's Manual
Puzzle 1: Bells and Whistles
You can view the church from four angles: the right arrow turns it counterclockwise, and the left arrow clockwise.
See that yellow symbol on the roof in each view? Zoom in on it: it's a bell with a musical note on it. If you ring the bells on the church's outside, some will make noise and some won't.
Each bell symbol is a hatch concealing a place to enter a number. In each one you want to enter the number of noisy bells visible from that view. The front is 2, then going from the right from there, 1, 2, 3. Then all the entry spots will turn into screws, so unscrew and remove the roof.
Puzzle 2: The Japanese Alphabet
There are hidden hatches in the checkered upper area, one on each side, indicated by the white triangles. There you'll find places to enter letters-- but what are the letters?
Well, you see the circles on each side of the lanterns and around the church, right? And the letters inside some of the circles? Take a closer look at those circles. If you count, you'll notice that there are exactly 26 circles around the church. There are exactly five between the A and the G, too.
Can you guess? It's supposed to be the alphabet spelled around the church. The white triangles indicate that you're supposed to put the letters from the corresponding circles in. The front is D, then reading to the right, K, Q, and W. Once again, unscrew and remove.
Puzzle 3: Expressive Chicks
Now you can open the four doors. In each one you can see the collection of chicks inside as well as a symbol and a place to enter a number.
You should notice quickly that each symbol corresponds to a facial feature of some of the chicks. Count how many chicks have each feature (ignore the big chick at the top), then input it in the appropriate spot. There should be 1 chick with angry eyebrows, 4 with bows, 2 with neutral eyebrows, and 3 with scared eyebrows.
Unscrew and remove.
Puzzle 4: I Hope You're Not Colorblind
Now you can lift the stairs on each side to reveal a letter entry area and some colored squares. You can also peer into the area where the chicks were (click where the arrows are in the close-up).
You'll notice a strange array of colored rectangles in the center. The trick to this puzzle is to look at the rectangles from each angle, imagine what letter it would look like if ONLY the rectangles of the colors indicated by the squares at that angle existed, and put that letter in. The front is M, then continuing to the right are B, W, and E.
You know what to do: unscrew and remove.
Puzzle 5: Fan Club
That's odd, you can see four hatches but this time only the front one opens. If you experiment, you'll see it needs a series of four arrays of pressed buttons around an angry chick face. You can't look at the crowd of chicks from the earlier puzzles from before, so let's eye the big one at the top.
If you click the big chick at the top, it waves some fans around. It holds the fans in four frames. You know what you can do? You can transcribe those fan positions onto the buttons: lower left and lower right, center left and center right, upper left and upper right, top center. After each one, press the chick face to confirm.
Now all four hatches can be opened, and have screws underneath. You know the drill.
Puzzle 6: Chick Chick Boom
Bomb. Naturally. Well, better get to work. Open the lid. You'll see a combination of chicks and a row of expression symbols. If you read the symbols from left to right, you'll notice the chicks trace out the letter N.
You've got a spot to enter a letter, so enter the N there, then twist the screw head to deactivate the bomb. Then disassemble the timer, remove the screw, and discard the bomb. You win!
