Having been a few years since their previous title, Polymer Rabbit comes back with a kick in the teeth by cranking up the difficulty of their shooter series in Frantic 3. Bigger enemies, bigger bullets... looks like they followed the 'bigger is better' philosophy. And you'll be glad they did as you wind your way through the top-down scrolling stages flying around with all the grace you can muster through your mouse (or [WASD] for those more keyboard-ly inclined) and increasing the devastation of your auto-firing arsenal with a flick of your left-click/[spacebar]
Get your bulkheads handed to you again and again while working your way through all five areas of three stages apiece. What's that? Not enough for you? Well, completing a stage unharmed unlocks a bonus stage where you can collect even more money to throw at endless upgrades and accessories for your ship. It's time to take a stand against these foreign spacecraft and whatever they have against you, because it's no fun when it's just the enemy with the overly large bullets. Fire away, my fantastic fighters! Fire away frantically!

Cool mindless shooter with upgrades.
Added! Thanks Cornelius.
Pretty cool game! My only problem with it is that, when using mouse controls, whenever the cursor goes off the game area the ships gets stuck. And getting cornered in bullet hell games is like jumping in platformers :P
I enjoyed Frantic 2, but this feels very downgraded in every way.
The shop/upgrades, the bullet scraping, multi colored powerups, the boss being composed of many destroyable parts, the super ability... All these were better in the previous game.
Some accessories mention "scraping"". What is scraping and how can I do it?

Scraping is staying close to enemy bullets without getting hit. It's mentioned in the 'Help' menu at the bottom of the stage select screen.
Can somebody please explain how the emergency device works, especialy how to activate it?
gmdave449 -
The emergency device does just what it says, which is occasionally converting nearby bullets into coins. The effect is subtle and hard to spot. And as with some of the other accessories, will only ever go off while you're in secondary weapon mode (left-clicking with mouse controls). Otherwise, you have no control over it.
Hope that helps :)
