I don't have many game developers' sites bookmarked, but Eyezmaze is one of them. So when I go through and check these sites at midnight when really I should be sleeping, not really expecting anything because, hey, developing a game takes time, I'm going to play Grow Cinderella when I find it. Don't regret doing so either.
Short and cute, the game is played in typical Grow fashion: click panels to apply the chosen object to the scene. Each time an item is added, the objects already in the scene have a chance to level up and "grow." Some objects build off each other, and the game requires a specific order to achieve to the ultimate ending of the game. With only six options, most players, especially those familiar with the Grow formula, should have no trouble tweaking their first attempt to max out each panels level. The simple mechanics (and story!) also make it great to let children play.
Speaking of the story, it unsurprisingly follows the classic story of Cinderella. You must help the (strange, wizardly) fairy godmother get Cinderella presentable to go to the ball. You have the aforementioned and pictured six items to do so, and it'd probably be best to get her there before midnight, so start, um, growing? these objects!
Found a solution:
Pumpkin, stump, cloth, white mouse, lizard, gray mouse
The nature of the game suggests against multiple solutions, but still, can anyone confirm this is the only one?
That's the solution I found, and I haven't known any of the other Grow games to have multiple solutions, so you should be good
wow omg first eyemaze game I've played that didn't take me 5000 tries :O
I got the same solution you did. I think there's only one. I tried a few other combinations but most changes lead to one of the mice not being useful, so they cannot be successful.
I think this has one of the best ending twists ever! Don't miss out! Play!
Does anyone know of a guide for how to do these games? I don't mean a walkthrough that tells you the answer, but like a strategy guide that tells you how to solve it without just attempting to brute-force it
@goudakitty Quite a few of On's games have more than one ending. There's the 'normal' ending, and sometimes there's a weirder, totally different ending that usually involves aliens.
Hahaha such a cute ending! Great end to the day.
@Ruth: My usual strategy is to go through and see when things "stall out". In this case, on my first runthrough
I noticed that the mice/lizards didn't really do much after their initial transformation, so I figured they'd be later on.
That meant my first step was playing with the longer-growing objects,
pumpkin, log, and paper
to see how they combined and how long they lasted, and then messing with the order of those pieces.
A new ending has been added to the game!
How did I not know this? I'm going to have to go back now and find these endings.
The combination for the alternate ending:
White Mouse
Tree Stump
Brown Mouse
Pumpkin
Lizard
Paper
Neat. Thanks. I actually like this dress far more than the silly princess one.
Cute game but for age 6 to 1 yr olds I suppose.
Whoa!!
I look up this walkthrough and find JayIsGames is BACK..
?!?!?!...
I'm confused, but thrilled. Kinda like my wedding day.
I thought Jayisgames was done. I cried inside that day I found out. What happened?! Nonetheless, I cry with joy now. ;)
JayIsGames is only sort-of back. Posts are very rare. I assume Jay is posting in spare time rather than as a job.
If we want to see more life in JayIsGames we have to contribute.
Cute game!
