Detarame Factory has invited us to a Hot Pot Party and it doesn't mean what you might think it means. A hot pot is a savory recipe made from various fish, veggies and seasonings. It looks deeee-lish, but before the party can start, you'll have to find the recipe and collect all the necessary ingredients. This is not as simple as the pastel colors and cute characters might lead you to believe—nearly every cupboard and drawer is locked, so you'll have to escape your way through each, using the clues and items you've gathered to help you further along through multiple odd-shaped rooms and whimsical scenes.
Point-and-click to navigate, following the changing cursor to find all active areas. There's a couple spots that are hard to find, so take your time pointing the cursor around every surface until you find them. Puzzles are usually quickly solved after you've found all the clues but there are more than a couple times that lateral thinking is needed and a few puzzle rules feel arbitrary or unintuitive. Without a SAVE function, you'll want to play when you can set aside around 20 minutes to finish. This is a rather meaty escape, with a lot to do and two endings to find. To help out, the designer has added a MEMO function; click on it to open a notebook filled with all the clues you've seen so far. The flaws are more disappointing because there so many creative and fun aspects to this game, you want no downsides to the fun sides. As for fun sides, there are too many to count. If you've enjoyed Detarame Factory's Anision, then you already have an idea what to expect: coyly inventive puzzles and enough charm to knock the pink off a flamingo, a whimsical escape game that is as clever and tricky as it is cute.

Hot Pot Party Walkthrough
From the middle house
Bottom right of table for 1 coin then inspect the purse for another. Go right.
Click on picture frame to add to memo.
Go right until castle picture (2 screens) click on poster of ALI BABA, hint is added to memo.
Click right to kitchen. Bottom left cabinet then click on pot/bowl and knife. Note the sesame bottle.
Middle cabinet has clue with the word EAR - look at memo with the 3 cats
2-1-3
Get binocular and look at the book for another hint. Go back one screen.
Click on the castle and enter the code - see memo
OPEN SESAME
Grab the flamingo and the cat handle. Use the cat handle for the bottom drawer and open to get a screwdriver and another coin.
Head back to the first screen with the table and click on the frame above. Use the screwdriver. Go left one screen to the kitchen. Enter the code for the right cabinet.
0-1-4-2
Get the blue lamb. You can get another coin by turning off the light in the room with the picture frame and piano, then go to the kitchen and it will sparkle.
Head to the screen with a door and exit.
Outside
Use the binocular and look at the clock. Head to the store on the right
Shops - Grocery on the right, fish on the left
Grocery - look at your purse then click on items. Buy everything in the store.
Click bottom right for another clue and exit the store.
Fish - Note the bucket on the left, then head to the back of the room.
Look at the poster, exit and head back to the house.
Solving the rest of the puzzles
Go right to where the robot is and enter the code (use memo and note the backward fish).
Left-left-left-right-right
Grab the flamingo and look at the clue. Go right one screen.
Use the memo to solve the puzzle with the plants. Grab the coin.
The next screen, use the code from the clock tower

Get the 2nd flamingo and note the coloured clue like the first.
Click on the window above the drawer then place both flamingos on top of the drawer. Go back to screen with the picture frame/piano and turn off the light. Go to the next screen.
Click on the robot and grab the key, head back to the piano.
Use the key on the piano and note the clue.
Click on the lambs and solve the puzzle.
Green-blue-pink-yellow-purple
Get the xylophone mallet and a coin. Go to the fish shop and enter the back room.
Play the song on the xylophone.
Light blue-green-light green-red-red-green-light blue-light green.
Buy everything in the fish shop. Head back to the house.
Cook the hotpot according to the hint.
Tomatoes in the bowl, use the whisk. Pour tomato sauce to pot. Add brown spice (farthest right). Cut vegetables then fish on cutting board. Place mussels in the colander. Put vegetables in pot, add orange spice (far left). Add fish, mussels, and shrimps. Add blue then green spices.

Memo locations:
1. Click the lower right area inside of the fruit & veggie shop.
2. a. click the fish chart in the back of the fish shop. b. click the lower left area inside of the fish shop.
3. a. Click the inside of the green cabinet. b. click the inside of the blue cabinet.
4. a. Look at the left picture next to the blue cabinet. b. Look at the bottle in the bottom left cabinet in the kitchen.
5. Look in the mirror above the lambs.
6. Look at the clock tower through the binoculars
7. Look at the piano keys.
8. Look at the book in the bottom middle cabinet in the kitchen.
Endings:
Normal Ending: Once you finish making the meal and its on the table, click on it. Click yes to eat it.
Happy Ending: After the meal is on the table, go to each store and talk to the shop owner, then go back to the meal and click yes to eat it. NOTE you have to talk to both shop keepers to get this ending, not just one.
