You're late! You're late! For a very important date!... literally! In TomaTea's Late for Date, your obsession with elaborate locks and intricate puzzles for your home has spiraled out of control until now you're literally trapped inside and unable to escape for your date... well, not without actually solving all the obstacles in your way, of course. Just click to interact when you see the glow at the tip of your cursor, and click the bars at the edges of the screen to turn around when you mouse over them. TomaTea continues its tradition of marrying simple but lush, relaxing atmosphere and clever puzzles that require both thinking and observation to solve. I'd call it the perfect, mellow way to relax, but then again... you are late and theoretically standing someone up, so you should probably get a move on!

Late for Date Walkthrough
You'll start off facing a nice sloped roof with some windows. There are four drawers you can zoom in on, each locked in a different way. The second drawer from the left doesn't require any codes from anywhere else in the room, so you can open it right away; zoom in.
Here's how this puzzle works: you can swap the blocks of hearts around by clicking the two you want to switch. Rearrange them so the arrows point to groups of three hearts of the same color. For the colorblind: swap top with middle, top with left, top with bottom, bottom with right. Then press the button.
If you did it right, the drawer will click open. Take the doll with the trumpet, then back away and turn right.
A TV, a nice rocking chair, and a guitar... as well as a weird table. Click the top of the guitar to zoom in on it; note the way the strings are marked, and take the tile behind it.
Zoom out, then in on the table. It has three drawers. One's locked with a key, one with a code, and one with nothing apparent... I bet it has to do with that design on the top. We'll tackle that later; for now, back away and turn right again.
Check out those pictures on the wall. There's a large one and four small ones. Click the upper-left small picture to turn it over, then take the tile behind it. Flip it back again; it's part of a puzzle.
When you flip the little switch in the middle of the small pictures, the large one will gain a three-by-three grid. If you look, you'll find that all four of the small paintings' images can be found in different squares of the larger one. Center, center-right, lower-left, upper-left. Hmm...
Back away and turn right again. Zoom in on the plant on the left and take the tile behind it. One more to go!
What's that thing above the sofa? It looks like something can be set here... four somethings, in fact. Also note the slot for a switch on the right side of it. Well, we've done everything we can here.
Turn right to get back to where you began. Now we can open the third drawer from the left. It needs a grid of nine; click the four squares you found in the paintings (center, center-right, lower-left, upper-left) and hit the button. You'll get a key and another doll for your trouble.
The key doesn't fit the door, but maybe the drawer on the left side of that table in the TV view will accept it... and it does! It gives you a third doll, a heart, and a folded note.
Examine the note. A rectangular hole and "180 degrees". What?!
Hang on, there's something we haven't inspected yet. Go back to the window view and inspect the window blinds on the right.
The third and fourth slats from the top can be played with, and they have writing on them. Each one can be tilted up or down, and toggle every time you do. Play with them until they say "LEXISLOVE" or something like that, then use the note on them.
Aha! "LEXIS 180 degrees". Turn "LEXIS" upside down and it says "SIX37"... wait, that's "51x37". Multiply that and you get 1887, which is the code for the leftmost drawer.
A pair of pliers and a remote. You can't turn the remote over, so I'm guessing we don't need to fuss with batteries this game. Go use the remote on the TV for a little clip of someone playing a guitar.
Find the four strings plucked on the actual guitar by the TV; the notes played were B-E-A-D, which is the code for the rightmost drawer below the windows... and that drawer contains one more tile.
You should now have four tiles. Put them on the top of the table below the TV and solve one of those sixteen-tile puzzles Tomatea is so fond of. It's a heart made of roses; it'll be easier if you keep in mind that the shadowy areas outside the roses go at the perimeter.
Once it's all together, the front drawer will pop open. It contains a doll holding... nothing? Put the heart in its hands. Now, let's do something with these dolls.
Go back to the pedestals above the sofa. Each doll goes on the pedestal with a symbol that thematically relates to what it's holding: music note for trumpet, leaf for flower, feather for bird, arrow for heart. But we still need a switch for the side of that shelf.
We haven't done anything with those pliers yet... and I have an idea! Use the pliers to pull out the little switch at the paintings, and then install it at the side of the shelf. Flip it and, if all the dolls were placed correctly, the pedestals will light up different colors.
With this clue, you can crack open the drawer on the right of the table below the TV. Leaf is green (click thrice), arrow is red (click once), music note is blue (click twice), feather is yellow (don't touch). When that solution checks out, you'll get an ornate key.
Obviously, that key unlocks the door. You're out!
