So you just got fired and dumped by your girlfriend and need a new apartment!
Heck, you even got struck by lightning. Is any of that really enough to keep a good man down? Of course not!
Especially not in a Carmel point-and-click game. In fact, the job and the apartment were barely a problem, solved before the game even begins. The question of finding a new one-and-only, now that's a different story. This one to be precise.
Chase goes hunting all over town to help out his new neighbor but mostly to find that special girl. There are plenty of candidates. He has his luck, his wits and three bucks to win one over.
The animation is in their typical style and getting from scene to scene is pretty easy since it's their usual map based navigation. Be ready for the jokes to run somewhere from corny to slightly crass depending on your sense of humor. It's all very tongue in cheek with what I'd describe as problems rather than puzzles to solve. They're all generally logical if a bit silly.
As for the music, well the good news is that you can turn it off. The voice-overs are fairly standard, meaning nobody plays these games for the dramatic readings. This is purely for laughs (and there are several.) Anyone who is a fan of Carmel's particular style should enjoy this one and since it isn't part of a series it won't leave anyone lost.

Love Chase
Walkthrough
Begin at the front door of your new apartment building. You currently have a key and a wallet with $3.
Notice that there is something in the drain but you can’t reach it.
Go inside
Talk to Darlene (the maid)
Be sure and take the Free Ride coupon from the top of the mailboxes
Once you have the Free Ride coupon, you can get around town using the Cab Stand signs. Click one and you’ll go to the map, from there just click the place you want to be.
There are 5 locations on the map.
The apartment building is in the center.
Upper left is the casino
Upper right is the bar
Lower left is the nightclub/Laundromat
Lower right is the Buy-n-Save
The Apartment Building
Go upstairs
On the Landing
There are 3 doors and a creepy casket. Your apt. is A2.
The other doors are important later on but thankfully, the casket is just window dressing.
Your Apt.
There’s not much to see here.
Take the rope left on top of the box.
Go next door.
Your Neighbor (A1)
Introduce yourself to Joseph.
He’s going to help you get to know the neighborhood by letting you run some errands for him.
He wants an apple, a crowbar, and a big cookie.
When you know what you’re after, it’s time to hit the street.
The Brunette (A3)
The girl in A3 is Katlyn.
She may show up early or late in the game. Doesn’t matter—introduce yourself, be nice.
Katlyn wants something warm and sweet to drink.
Go downstairs and outside.
The Casino
Inside

Speak to the desk clerk; he’ll give you a cocktail

Take the ‘suggestion’ note and the Big Napkin from the mouth of the statue on the left

Go to the slot machine and lose your $3 (trust me)

Leave the casino and look on the ground (by Chase’s left foot)
Pick up the token and go back in. Your luck just changed. Use the token on the slot machine

Play until you have at least $10 (there doesn’t seem to be a limit though LOL)
Back out to the street--
The Bar
Inside
Notice that Milo immediately drinks your cocktail from the casino
Talk to Milo and Lucy
Lucy wants a Blue Hawaiian cocktail
Go into the back (toward bathroom)
The Staff Only door is locked.
Take the glass mug from the table
Go into the bathroom

Talk to Annie
she’s looking for a book.
Buy an egg.
Back out to the street—
The Nightclub
Outside
Talk to the lonely sock puppet.
Inside Laundromat
Talk to Marsha
she needs Chopsticks.
Buy a hot chocolate from the vending machine.
Notice the odd sock on the washer/dryer.
Leave
Inside the Nightclub
Use your Big Napkin to cover the old guy’s chair so he will sit down.
That’s all you can do here now.
Back out to the street—
Back to the Apartment Building
Back up in A1
Ask Joseph if you can borrow a golf club.
(You may want to work on that excessive honesty problem. Oh well.)
Plan B-- Put the egg in the microwave.
Now go in the bathroom and take his toothbrush.
Go downstairs and give it to Darlene.
Go back up, give the brush back to Joseph. (Really, trust me.)
Back to the Bar
But first
Make a little side trip to the casino for a fresh cocktail.
Pour the window cleaner into the mug.
Now, go back into the bar. (You’ll love this)
Milo is now out of the way AND you have that Blue Hawaiian that Lucy wanted.
Oops looks like she isn’t THE ONE. Moving right along…
But first
Grab that crowbar next to the video game.
Go into the bathroom, use the golf club to get the book from the shelf.
Annie
Take the book and go back to the Buy-N-Save
Give it to Annie
she’ll give you a key to a room at the casino for a party.
Looks like we’re heading back to the casino
Go inside and use the key to enter the elevator
Oops, looks like she isn’t THE ONE either.
Moving on…
But first
Take the pencils from the cup and the apple from the counter.
Marsha
Go back to the Laundromat
Give Marsha the pencils
they sorta look like chopsticks.
Okay, that went well.
It’s a good opportunity to snag that sock on the way out though.
No sense everyone being lonely.
Give the sock to the lonely sock puppet.
Now is a good time to go back into the nightclub.
Offer the guy the spoon.
Time to head back to the apartments
Remember that drain?
Tie the bent spoon onto the rope.
Use that to get whatever is down there.
Now you have all the things Joseph (ahem) asked for.
Go upstairs and see what he has for you.

MARSHMALLOW
Drop the marshmallow into the hot chocolate and go back out onto the landing.
Katlyn still wants something like that.
