Mercedes Benz Mixed Tape 11
It's that time again: Time to head on over to the Mercedes Benz website and download, or just listen to, the latest mixed tape that has just been released. Be the first on your block to have the freshest and the best freely available music the Web has to offer.
Listen online or download all the tracks, and share the music freely as you please. All courtesy of Mercedes Benz. Click.
I just received this email, and wanted to respond here...
Hahaha. I was thinking the same thing earlier when I re-read what I wrote. I said: "Wow, that sounds like an MB advertisement(!)"
And I'm not ashamed of it. I truly am thankful for the service they are providing on a number of levels.
They are providing FREE music to download, hassle-free and without any copyright restrictions whatsoever. This is huge. I can freely burn the music onto CD, upload the compilation to a server, share with friends, etc.
The music they pick kicks ass! =) They continuously offer a broad selection of various downtempo, lounge, hip hop, r&b, light jazz and vocals that collectively soothes my soul.
I have enjoyed every compilation they have released so far (#4 was far and away my favorite, but the current #11 is showing excellent potential already!) The mixed tapes are among the most frequently played playlists in my iTunes library (and I used to be a DJ with thousands of CDs).
And last but definitely not the least, MB is providing a tremendous service to those independent artists who have signed with them. Their music is being listened to by millions of people all over the world.
This last point is actually very similar to the service I provide here by highlighting and reviewing some of the most unique, original and exceptional casual games available on the Web, and thus increasing exposure for these mostly independent developers.
It's an excellent question, and one that I am not offended by and completely understand why someone might think that way. I hope that lays to rest any questions that anyone may have.
Oh. I did mention that I was a DJ once, didn't I? I guess there's still a DJ inside who needs to turn people onto excellent new music. ;)
Great mix! Do you know of any way to get earlier compilations? I am always up for new music!
Thanks for the link!
Hi John - yes, I have all of the compilations up on a server of mine and wouldn't at all mind letting you download them. Send me an email sometime this weekend when I'll have more time to create access keys for you.
So, just to clarify, you don't have an official relationship with MB and haven't received any compensation from them for linking to their site, right? (I assume so from your comments, just wanted to make sure.) PS: Thanks for all the game links!
Oye. =)
Correct. I am in no way, shape or form affiliated with, nor do I receive compensation in any form, from Mercedes Benz for my promotion of their Mixed Tape product, or for any other reason for that matter.
It's FREE.
And I just love it is all! =D
Its very simple - jay owns Mercedes Benz :)
LOL. That'll be the day. ;)
wow that's a great collection of crappy music ;)
Hahahaha =)
Wow Thanks for linking to that site. I love the fourth track. Your game links are good to.
Can anyone point me to a place to get mix tapes 1-6, and 8? I have 7, and 9-11 and love them!!! Thanks.
Hey Jay (nice name by the way), I've sent you an E-Mail about me getting my hands on the previous Mercedes-Benz Mixed Tape Mixtapes.
Please get back to me, Thanks -- Jay.
i'd love to get my hands on all the mix tapes, anyone know where I can get em?
I am just wondering if you could help me download tape #13, which I for some reason forgot to download.
Thanks for your effort and enthusiasm.
