Detarou's latest escape game has arrived, and Office is every bit as weird, surreal, and intriguing as we've come to expect. Your goal; find a way out of the bizarre place you find yourself trapped in by scouring your environment for puzzles and clues. Why? Well, hey, if you're comfortable with being locked in a room with a giant, wall-mounted head, a violent little girl, a mushroom max in a box and a old man plant, that's your kettle of fish and we won't judge you for it. Those of you who want to find a way out, however, will want to click your way around the environment, watching for a changing cursor to hint at interactions and using the arrows at the side of the screen to change perspective. You can even save your game this time, and since there are four three endings to discover (some better than others) you just might want to take advantage of that.
Detarou's unique style and sense of whimsical weirdness is by now pretty recogniseable if you're a fan of the genre. What makes these games great for most (and just downright strange to others) is how the game manages to marry unexpected humour in ordinary environments and wrap them up in a clean, appealing presentation to boot. The downside is that if you like your escape game puzzles straight-forward and no-nonsense, the level of oddness on display might prove to be too much of a confusing distraction, especially since some of the things you can click on aren't there to do anything else but entertain. Office, fortunately, usually doesn't let silly style take the place of substance in most puzzles, and even if the item use can be a little abstract now and again you can usually find clues and success if you're willing to experiment. Of course, we all know you're wondering if the JiG offices are as strange as Detarou's, and really, we'd love to tell you all about how normal and well-adjusted we all are, but the Kool-Aid man just escaped his enclosure again and we have to go put on our Power Rangers suits so we can combine to summon Agatha Christie before he rampages all over Townsville again.

Office Walkthrough
Click the computer, note the green 5.
Open the middle desk drawer, take the tube of wasabi paste.
Click on the carboard box, then again, note the guy in the Toad costume with the red 4 on his chest.
Click the window, Note the guy with the blue 6 helmet. Not sure why he scratches his nose.
Click left twice, then the pad next to the door.
Enter 4-6-4-5.
Back up and open the door.
Open the middle locker. Click the old guy, then take the flash drive under his wig. Back up.
Open the 2nd locker from the right. take the HAZMAT suit. Back up.
Open the rightmost locker. Release the robot waiter. Watch him bang into the wall. Not sure why. Back out of the room.
Go right. Click the computer, then use the flash drive on the USB port. See the statue guy sitting on the chair, taking a smoke break.
Go back into the room. Take the note from the chair. Back out.
Turn left. Click the onion growing out of the ground. Click it again, and watch the little girl wail on him with a ping pong paddle. Not sure why.
Enter the door. Click on the Robot spider man. Enter the code from the paper:
Left to right, 10 (up/left), 30 (down), 15 (right).
Get the panda flash drive and the sushi. Back out.
Go right and enter the room. Turn left. Use the wasabi paste on the sushi and feed it to the statue. Take the key. Back out.
Turn left twice. Use the key on the door and slam it into the giant face. Note the farting swimmer.
Use the HAZMAT suit on the swimmer. He will pass out from his own fart. Classic.
Enter the door, then the door on the right. Take the key from that pink thing that I'm guessing was a toilet bowl cleaner. No idea what the brown thing is, since you can't see it in the other view. Also, open the toilet and try and figure out what's going on here. Back out twice.
Go left twice and click the desk. Use the key on the locked drawer. Take the screwdriver. Back out twice.
ENDING 1
Use the panda flash drive on the computer. Some crazy japanese code will fill the screen. Evil Panda, dressed as something that I can't figure out. will click a detonator that blows up Toad's box. Apparently Toad was a suicide bomber, or maybe a kamikaze, since it's a Japanese game. He's celebrating with Evil Panda at the end. Not sure what the sign says.
ENDING 2
Go left and enter the room. Use the screwdriver on the panel above the chair. Go forward to the button and click it. Fly into orbit apparently. The music tells you it's bad, and the spinning penis man scrolling by tells you it's Detarou.
ENDING 3 (the "good" one)
Go left and click on the pad by the door. Use the screwdriver to remove it and take the key. Back up and go left twice. Enter the door and click on the pad by the far door. Put the panda flash drive and the key into the slots. Enter the door. Bask in your full size spinning penis man. Congrats.

Office Walkthrough
You'll start out facing a computer. Zoom in on it and note the Post-it with the green number 5.
Back away and check out the three drawers on the compter desk. One is empty, one is locked, and one contains a tube of Wasabi. Nab it; you'll need it later.
Check out the cardboard box to the right. If you click it, a weird mushroom-thing with a red number 4 on his shirt will pop out. Uh-huh.
Now without backing away, look through the window to the left of the box. You'll see a guy whose face is framed by a blue number 6.
Back away then turn left until you're facing a gray door one view left of the starting view. Zoom in on the panel next to it.
It needs a four-digit code, and the numbers are colored red, blue, and green. So try applying those colored numbers you've seen so far. If you input the code 4645 and click the bar at the bottom, you'll hear something click open.
Back away and enter the door, then look left. The guy isn't fooling anyone with his locker camouflage, but you can't do anything with him yet. Look in the lockers if you want, then turn right.
Check out the lockers on the right; they've got some good stuff. What you're really interested in are a hazard suit in the fourth locker and a USB stick under a guy's toupee in the third locker.
Go to the computer you started off facing and use the USB stick in one of its USB ports to watch the guy disguised as a locker taking a smoke break.
Go back into the room with the lockers. Hm, the guy left something on the chair when he was smoking. Take it; it's a memo with a clock on it.
Return to the first room and look for the wooden door (it's approximately behind you when you're looking at the computer). You'll see a green sprout in the ground; if you click it, an old man will pop out of the ground, and an energetic girl will begin whacking him. Only in Detarou's games.
Go through the wooden door and you'll see a... thing. Zoom in on the panel in the center. "Yoshikazu-Z", eh? We saw that name on the paper. Try setting the three dials to represent the hour, minute, and second hands, respectively: upper-left, bottom, right. When you've got it right, you'll be able to pick up a second USB stick and a piece of sushi from a tray below.
If you use the second USB stick on the computer, you'll get Bad Ending #1 where our old panda friend blows up the office! So don't do that.
Use the wasabi on the sushi, then go feed it to the locker-disguised guy in the locker room for a key. I'm not sure how that works either.
The key goes to the other locked door, to the right of the computer and the box in the main room. It's got a giant face next to it; you can't miss it. Unlock and open.
I don't think that farting guy in the swimsuit will let us pass. Dress him in the hazmat suit and he'll succumb to his own gasses. Then proceed.
The door straight ahead is locked, so go through the door on the right to enter a bathroom. Get the key from the toilet brush box. As for what's in the toilet... I just write the walkthroughs, I don't understand the games.
The key goes to the locked drawer in the computer desk, which contains a screwdriver.
You could use the screwdriver to undo the panel above the chair in the locker room, then proceed through the vent and press the button, but that will lead to Bad Ending #2 where you're catapulted high into the air, so unless you brought your parachute you don't want to do that!
What else has screws? How about that panel where you entered the colored numbers? If you unscrew that you'll find a key underneath it. Use it and the second USB stick on the panel next to the door down the hallway next to the bathroom, and you're home free!
