Hyptosis puts a more macabre spin on the classic tale of ruby slippers and witch murder with Red Oz Episode 1, the first installment of a new point-and-click adventure series. As the game opens, you're awoken by a crash in your dark house, and set out to investigate, though it quickly becomes apparent that something is seriously wrong. Things are missing, cryptic messages scrawled on the walls and pieces of paper means you don't think you're alone, and, well, have you looked outside the windows lately? Click to interact with objects, watching for any text displayed in the box above your inventory at the bottom of the screen, and use the red arrows to move around the area. Click an item in your inventory to "equip" it for use. Oh, and it is possible to meet an untimely end in this game if you aren't fast enough when a threat appears, but choosing "load game" will just allow you to keep playing. Ready? Set?... JUMPSCARE!
Hyptosis gives inspiration credit to Alice is Dead co-creator Mike "Impending Riot" Morin, and it shows. While Hyptosis' own work has tended towards fantasy like Kingdom of Liars, Red Oz seems to embody a lot more of the unsettling tones and imagery Alice is Dead was known, and arguably beloved, for. With flickering lights and fleeting shadows, you're constantly on edge from the very beginning, and a limited use of sound makes for an intensely atmospheric experience that'll make your skin crawl when you start finding the notes left for you. The gameplay itself may be a little too straightforward for some hoping for a challenge, with only one real significant puzzle making this a short experience, though one that should whet your appetite for things to come. Red Oz Episode 1 is a compellingly creepy and creative twist on the source material, and we can't wait to see what happens next.

Walkthrough
The beginning
Pick up the watch. Click the arrow and read the note under the drawer.
How to get the key
Go down the hallway and towards the kitchen, look at the kitchen window. You should see the red text ("DADDY LIKES THE SKiN White and New") written fully, otherwise you won't find the key.
Go back the hallway with a painting on the left side, click the painting and you'll see the key on the top of it.
Get out
Go to the kitchen and read the note. Pick up a knife. Use the key on the door.
Outside
After you get out, read the poem on the ground, next to the dead guy. You might want to write it down for later use. Click the arrow on top right corner, cut the pumpkin open with a knife and you'll get a magnet.
Go back and click bottom right arrow, you'll see a fox with a rope, give him the watch. After he kills himself, go forward and talk to the porcupine. Go forward and you'll see a tree with a safe.
How to open the tree
The code is in the poem mentioned earlier:
"Two trees burning in the breeze.
The jester laughs and falls to knees.
Three knights come with faces grim.
This was twice his luck ran out.
He'd stolen once, sparkling, greedy, devout.
Twice the king waved his goose skin,
it was time for the chopping to begin."
To start entering the code, click once the big red button, you can also change the symbol by pressing the big red button. To enter the symbols, you need to click the smaller red button.
"Two trees" = Leaf symbol twice.
"The jester" = Jester hat once.
"Three knights" = Knight three times.
"...twice his luck..." = Horse shoe twice.
"...once, sparkling..." = Diamond once.
"Twice the king" = King twice.
If you entered the code correctly, you'll get a set of lungs. Go back and give them to the porcupine. Now you can go past the tree.
Finish
A guy made of metal appears and threatens to kill you, kill him with the magnet to finish the game.
