I wanted to start this article by saying how assu___ I felt that your bo___om would be shatte___ by Gaz's new release and how much it lives up to its inc___ible p___ecessors. Sadly, though it seems I was a bit too eager in removing the "red"s. Yep, another forty levels of adorably devious puzzles are here in Red Remover Player Pack 2. If you've been wanting awesome tumble-drop physics challenges, look no further: the boxy faces of Red Remover aim to please.
The object is the same: remove all the red frowny shapes from the playing field, either by vanishing them with a click of the mouse, or letting gravity careen them into the void. Also, smiley green shapes must always remain on the screen. Finally, the blue shapes are neutral and can stay or go as you wish. It's that simple... Oh, and shapes fall in the direction their faces are pointing, so don't expect what goes up to necessarily come down. Each level has a par to meet/beat, and a level editor is included for your own submissions for Red Remover Player Pack Tres.
Red Remover Player Pack 2 is a expansion pack, which means few surprises. If you liked the previous ones in the series, you'll like having more of it. If you've never seen it before, this should make for a good introduction. The levels are well-designed and have a good mix of timing, sequential strategy, and clever gimmickry therein. A few seemed to require lucky bounces to par, which is frustrating, but for the most part, it's your skill against the designer's. One that did annoy me was the puzzle reset mechanism: You have to pause the game, then hit the "reset" button in a different position than the pause button, and easily confused with the "resume" button right next to it. It just seemed like a step could be removed from the process. These minor issues are extremely ignorable once you get into a groove, and I'm certain Red Remover will keep you clicking until you've finished the final level... or at least that's my expert p___iction
...or you could just press the R key.
...or did you rip that key off your keyboard along with the E and the D?
Is the game not even showing for anyone else?
Not only is it not loading, it's not even giving me a loading screen. There's ads on the sides, links to the other Red Remover games below the links to other popular games...and a big empty bit of purple-squared background where the game ought to be.
I R sad maus. :[
[The game is loading fine for me (Mac OS X 10.5.8, Firefox 5.0, Flash Player 10.3.181.34). -Jay]
Okay, after switching from my laptop (Mac) to my desktop (Win7) it's working just fine.
*scratches head, shrugs*
Totally stumped on level 32...
There appears to be a new problem with the new Flash players, I heard that deleting cookies means you lose your saves now.
[That is not true. Flash does not save game state in browser cookies. -Jay]
I have to concur with Jay here. I did absolutely nothing to my cookies and my save file vanished all on its own. :/
[Oh, shoot, that might have been my doing (inadvertently). I uploaded a new version earlier, but changed the filename so there wouldn't be any caching issue. Apparently the game uses the game filename as the location where it stores the game saves. I've just changed the filename back to what it was before. I hope that helps bring your save file back. -Jay]
If it doesn't, no big deal, I already cleared it all again. Missed par on 39, but other than that, perfect run. :]
Can anyone get level 11 in two clicks? Even the walkthrough came in over par. :/
Power of the post, holy cow. Now I'm working on level 12.
Figured out all but 39. I think I see what to do there, but it's obviously going to take some serious timing.
Just in case anyone gets stumped on 32 like I did, here's a hint:
Par is 4, and it will take 4. Note that there are only five blocks you can click on.
Par on 11:
Top right, let things settle down, then bottom right to sweep up the stragglers.
For level 16:
1. Hit top left circle under the square
2. Hit square above that!
For level 32:
1. Click on light red,
let things settle
2. then click on small blue rectangle in top part of screen
3. Quickly click on larger rectangle that is moving so that the green ball goes in the first hole and hits the red.
4. Wait till red hits other red ball and that one rolls down, and then when it is at about the bottom 5th of the green make the long green rectangle go up, spinning the red so that it hits the tall green upsidedown one.
5. Wait till you win, and if not try again!
If you want any more, just ask!
Maybe Im a little slow here, but i am having a hard time w/ level 8...ive seen videos but they are not on par!
