Available on Adult Swim, "grown up" cartoon Rick and Morty follows the adventures of a young, perpetually flustered teenage boy named Morty and his formerly estranged genius grandfather Rick, whose ability to travel to other dimensions and craft wondrous inventions is matched only by his tolerance for alcohol and borderline contempt for everyone around them. Together, they've dealt with everything from giant heads from beyond the stars that demand Earth take place in an intergalactic music competition, to the concept of self and mortality via dimension-hopping after the end of the world. It's violent, crude, and most likely offensive, but it's also incredibly, uncomfortably smart and thoughtful at times in addition to being really, really funny... and now it has its own campy point-and-click adventure with Rick and Morty's Rushed Licensed Adventure by Starburns Industries. The game is broken up into four short episodes, each with its own loose plot, and, as the title implies, things are going to get very ri(ck)diculous very quickly, with problems ranging from an alien on the couch to Morty's sister Summer's horrifying new condition, and the premises and solutions are anything but mundane. Use [WASD] or the [arrow] keys to move, and click on things to interact by either looking at or using them, while remembering some items in your inventory can be combined. Each episode is short, and will likely only take you around fifteen minutes or so, but with voice acting by the show's cast and all the bizarre humour fans have come to expect, Rick and Morty's Rushed Licensed Adventure is a fun, snarky, point-and-click romp, albeit one with some frustrating adventure game logic, and more toned down content than you might expect. (And, P.S., if you're reading this review in the painful, scary gap between seasons two and three, do yourself a favour and pick up the comics... I promise they're worth it.)
Rushed Licensed Adventure is definitely more about making fun of itself than it is, well, just about anything else, as Rick and Morty frequently sarcastically point out how illogical, silly, or flat-out ridiculous things are with varying degrees of scathing contempt, and most of what you'll get from this game depends on how much you like the series' style of humour. Where the cartoon is punched up by unexpected moments of seriousness, character development, and uncomfortable introspection, the game is basically all gags all the time, and while it's funny more often than not, it would have been nice if more of the jokes weren't simply variations on breaking the fourth wall to say "look how lazy the developers are/stupid this puzzle is". Speaking of, most of the puzzles you'll encounter are sort of logical, often accompanied by some straight-faced and obvious hints from the characters, though you'll still likely have to fall back on trying everything on everything else more than once. While there are occasionally a few weird glitches, however, mostly pertaining to sound and animation syncing up or displaying, the game is still a lot of fun. Obviously you'll get the most out of it if you already know and love the characters, but come on... an old school pixel point-and-click adventure that parodies the genre and slathers on the jokes with Rick and Morty? OOoooooh yeah, CAAAAAAAAAAN DO!

To make something happen, all three jars need to be rotated. Rotate the Applesauce until it says "open" on the label. Rotate the other two jars until they form the weird image from the Pickle Jar below.
Grab some Delicious Butter and put it on the Temperature Control dial. Rotate it to make things a bit warmer and head back down.
Take the Olive and put it on the toothpick on top of the sandwich. Use the Hallow Olive to collect some of that orange juice dripping down. Combine the orange juice with the Pentri Dish.
Lastly, make Morty eat the Creepy Organism.

Now that Morty is one-dimensional, go under the closet door. Plug in the "Relaxing" "Massager" and grab the key. Go back into the room and give the key to Rick.
Grab the scissors from the top of the book shelf. Unlock the closet door with the key and go in. Take the DD Bra, Tranquilizer Gun and use the scissors to cut Summer's picture.
Use the fan switch to turn it on. Throw the DD Bra into the fan to turn into a Single D Bra. Use it on Morty to make him two-diminesional again.
Take a look in Summer's vanity to find a Lint Roller. Open the "Door to Narnia" and use the roller on Sumemr's coat. You can now unjumble Summer using the Jumbler Device.

Send the Clothes Hanger to Morty through the Dryer Portal. Back at Morty's cell, use the hanger to unlock the cell door. Give the Pair Tree a good shake to take down the prison guard. Grab Rick's Wirecutters and send them back to him through the dryer portal.
In the garage, take the Dumbells from the box on the ground, and the Sleeping bag. Use the Wirecutters to fix the Portal Gun.
Have RIck make a portal on the wall with no portal. Lastly send Morty the dumbbells, wirecutters and the sleeping bag.
Back in the Sock Universe, have Morty put on the Sleeping bag so he'd look like a sock and go talk to the sock guard. Use the Wirecutters to take down the "FEAR SOCKS" sign.
