Yea verily, forsooth, and any other pseudo-Medieval babblery I can think of, Little Giant World serves up more cute tycoon simulation goodness in Shop Empire 3... now with more dung, bards, and taxes! As before you're trying to build a profitable, towering mall filled with shops, staff members, and hopefully as little theft as possible, but unlike before you're doing it all in a ye olden time-y setting. Little Giant World basically wrote the book on how to make cute, teeny-tiny sims for your browser (since Kairosoft basically has the mobile market cornered), and not much has changed, with a lot of colour and personality packed into this curiously addictive game.
Is anyone else having a problem where at the start of every day, after your workers come in but before they go to their places, the game will pause itself (with no indication that that is the case, aside from the clock being stopped) until you change the speed?
And the problem seems to have fixed itself with the addition of stairs. Huh.
Have you read "hints and tips", seriously? thats english?
I found that stopping and restarting the action gets things going again. I think it pauses automatically after the end of day statistics opens. Kind of like similar games where you are prompted to "start day?"
Fairly glitchy as is standard with these games (sound effects won't turn off, randomly pauses etc) but I'll strill probably play it for hours. Sigh. Having trouble getting 'compatible stores'. Any tips?
It's when you move/open a menu during shift change. Just pause and unpause and all's well. Which incidentally is still a built-in game smasher, because miscreants are still active while the mall empties (and thus the employees are off the clock). Unfair. Even choosing "both" will not guarantee an overlap. Needs a swing shift!
Once again the achievement scaling is awful and the art is amazingly cute. This is not medieval! It's not even Ren Fest. It's more like a mall set up outside Comic Con. And a, shall we say, head-scratching set of choices with the Entertainer. So expect all that is sparkly and fail.
You can overlap booth columns. (Unfortunately an early expansion shorts you on the horizontal. There's a gap.) You cannot select individuals, and mousing over them for stats in the Staff tab is a bit iffy, but the sorting is much better. I cannot figure out if I can rename booths, it looks like no.
Over some hurdles:
I'm too bad of a player to get over the thieving loss, but I suggest controlling your bottom floor exit, and build up and narrow. That gives your horrible guards a fighting shot at catching.
When you get there, build Lodging. As much as you can. It's great to start every day with an auto bonus.
I'm trying for an ill-advised 3-story mall, and I think it's possible. Does anyone have any more "good combinations"? It's in the legend/helpy button at the bottom left.

The trading post goes with everything other than the facilities (terrace, elevators, restrooms) and Colosseum.

The Music Hall and Snacks were the only two that I couldn't find anything other than the trading post to go with.
The Bad Combinations operate similarly to the Good Combinations. I don't think this is complete. Details in the Spoilers:

It's amusing
to watch the hobbit looking for gems or jewelry, or the God of War getting a haircut.
Achievement | Fails
Not entirely confirmed, but don't turn on Entertainer powers in Extra Upgrades until Gandoolf has healed 15 for a Trophy.
Place the Guard Post thoughtfully. The post itself is 1 per floor, but the Gold Guard can move between floors. You only get 3 max.
All maxed out is a mission/achievement of course.
Keep an eye on the elevator Achievement. I'm not sure that immovable/support structures count.
Max out: 6 restrooms.
Max out: 4 floors / 3 buildings each.
Fail! Mission to catch saboteurs is after Mission to max Extra Upgrades, which includes a saboteur deterrent.
I hoped the alarm and sonic beam would help Guards more, though that might be my extreme horizontal mall. Dash was good, though.
One watchdog for the whole mall, really?
And re: Lodging, at some point the sprites are moving too slow / not enough demand to warrant 3 basement levels with 1 immovable access point.
Why can't stairs be reversed?! It directly affects traffic flow and catching thieves.
As mentioned, can overlap end-columns when building or relocating.
The borders of the mall end with any building. If relocation left an empty space, you can't build stairs there.
Don't delete stairs with people still on them. Oops.
You'll just have to work around the shift-change gap as your mall grows. It's infuriating how employees do nothing off-shift and on-premises but miscreants continue. Also customers may spend half the night exiting the mall. Stairs are your friend.

Wagon or Livestock next to the stagecoach depot also not it.
Hey i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get the lodge rooms in the basement? ive tried loads of different thing but cant think of anything to unlock the rooms, please help?
I'm not sure which one it follows, but as you do the missions stuff gets unlocked. So just focus on completing the missions and eventually the lodges will get unlocked.
I believe your mission is to build a lodge. I was stuck there for a while, but just accumulate money, build more shops. I think the lodge became available when I hit popularity >20%.
This is a great game. I played it for hours, and got to what I assume is the last quest (which has you build one of every kind of building).
My mall at the end was 4 stories, and each story stretched from end to end.
However, I did encounter one game-breaking scenario. This happens every night at my mall:
A huge crowd gathers, something like 160 or 140 people. My popularity rating shoots through the roof, hovering at around 76%.
A bunch of people line up to use the bathroom. I have 8 fully upgraded bathrooms. The store closes as night falls. Everyone in line proceeds to drop a load directly on the floor. Everyone leaves the store, complaining loudly about the smell, and how they will never come back again. My popularity drops down to 0%....
I liked the Engrish, I appreciated the theme, but this is insane.
How do you catch 15 saboteur in one day?
For some reason I the game gets stuck when I try to save. I can still scroll around with arrows/WASD, but the window asking if I really want to save prevents any other interaction, other than clicking the broken [Yes] and [No] buttons.
I completed the 15 saboteur quest by hiring about 22 guards with high speed and vision. I think spamming guards is the only way to complete it.
I can't remember which goal it was, but there was one where I had to remove stairs and elevators and put all my guards on the bottom floor before I could capture enough.
How Can I Save My Game?
When I Restart my Laptop It Gone
Please HELP ME!
It seems that the game has inexplicably become broken. For me and other people, shops no longer give any money: no customer purchases take place. I tried playing different versions of the .swf file, online on the web browser and through the portable Flash player, as well as I tried the .swf files with an old version of such Flash player. With all of that covered, I don't understand how's it possible that the game used to work but now it doesn't anymore. What's the variable that changed?
