Vitamin Hana serves up an escape with amenities in Terrace View, and continues their tradition of making cute, simple-seeming games that offer more than meets the eye. There isn't much around you... a locked door, a painting, a TV, and a few pieces of furniture that are all locked up tight with various coded puzzles. There's no changing cursor to help you see what you can interact with, but there's also not really any pixel hunting to make that a problem... just a whole bunch of cryptic clues for a room with enough puzzle locks to belong in an early Resident Evil game. It won't take you long to play, but it also doesn't feel like it's too short either, the proverbial juuuuuust right with a few puzzles that'll kick your brain into gear and require you to connect the dots without going overboard on difficulty. Sometimes you want something heavy and perplexing, and sometimes you want something light, fun, and clever, and Terrace View fits the latter perfectly well.

So with the letter puzzle,
I figured it out because I live on that river and it's the first word kids around here learn to spell, because of it's easy-to-memorize rhythm, but there is nothing else in the room to indicate //why that word would be the answer. I got it by luck, but am I missing something? That seems unnecessarily cryptic.
Finally out! Some interesting things to note:
If you have trouble with the screw coming out of the floor
click the floorboard instead of the screw
Also, the wood
For no reason at all, you can pull one piece of wood out of the stack before you combine the stack with something else!
Screwdriver
You can find the flathead screwdriver before the phillips and it won't change how the game plays... the flathead will just be useless until it's needed.
The thing that I got stuck on until I looked at the comments on a certain other website dedicated to escape games...
You can take the hook and put it in that dark little dot on the floor, then click on that plank of wood to find
a mirror, which can then be used on the hook back in its original place
Then later on,
use the scissors to cut the rope.
What could you make from rope and wood, that might be useful when trying to escape from balconies?
The number code with the *
is used for the grey/red 2 button code. Even though you would think it would make sense for the code to follow the button colours from 1-9 or something.
