Even though you've been happily reliving "Ommagosh I'm trapped!" memories playing 12 Best Escape Games, I know you want more. Well, at least, I want more. Thus I present these three new escape games. Perhaps they can only dream of their icon in the spotlight of your favorites list, but they've come prepared to win you over. Even without bright lights and fame, even if those "hard core" gamers such as Yahtzee Croshaw don't totally agree, escaping of all sorts is fun. And we can never get enough of that. Which is the point, of course.
Fruit Kitchens No.5: Peach Pink - from FunkyLand, the master of creating rooms we want to break into and live in, not escape out of, is less bland than it first appears. An ineffable appeal that transcends the simple side of puzzle solving sparks our excitement on as soon as we lay eyes on this room. Luckily, its suave style makes up for the simple gameplay—gather up seven pretty peaches, watch as they magically morph into a key, use it to unlock the door, and there you have it: a grin to last the rest of the day!
Story Room 8 - by Story House is short and not particularly full of puzzling, but the puzzles that are here are pleasing enough to warrant a weekday escape appearance. Explore the single wall, looking for clues and solving codes, much the same spirit as a Robamimi One Scene game although notably short of the aesthetic wonderment. Still, Story Room 8 fits perfectly in those moments when you need a mental recharge while being assured frustration-free success.
Escape from the Brown Door Room - Like parents taking one look at their newborn's tuft of auburn curls and deciding to name him Red, Yomino Kagura leaves the creativity to game making rather than titling. You might glance at the beigeness of the design and decide to skip it. But you shouldn't—a changing cursor and clean design make escaping from this room a pleasant endeavor. One can't help but wish for more graphical pizzazz to go along with the puzzles, which have their own sense of whimsy. Although the answers are straight-forward, you'll need to jump through more hoops to get them, making the experience feel more substantial.
We love escape games, and our readers love talking about them and sharing hints! How about you? Let us know what you think, ask for clues, or help out other players in the comments below.

Peach Kitchen Walkthrough
Table
Look at the silverware laid out on the tray.
Enter the code into the box between the coffee maker and the blender (back left alcove, near the frog); get the key.
Colorblind help:
The silverware has, left to right, 2 blue dots, 4 red dots, 3 green dots, and 1 black dot. The buttons on the box start out white and cycle through red, blue, green, and black, in that order.
Click 4×, 2×, 3×, 1×.
Use the key to open the white thing in the middle of the table.
Stove
When you zoom in, there's a peach in plain view to the left of the stove.
Between stove and sink
Zoom in on the countertop between the stove and the sink, and look in the white basket.
On peninsula
You know the handle of the window on the back wall? It's not a handle. (What is it with these people storing can openers in the wierdest-possible spots?)
Use the can opener to open the can on the countertop to the right of the sink.
Under peninsula
Look in the heart-shaped box.
Frog
Look at the letters on the bottom of the alcove cabinet.
Enter the code into the white and pink flat box under the window (to the right of the door). Get the scissors.
Use the scissors to make the frog (in the alcove) drop onto the button.
Drawer
Get the swizzle stick (or heart-shaped lollipop or whatever it is) from the middle shelf in the alcove.
Go to the cabinet under the window (on the back wall). Look at the top of the box with the books.
Poke the swizzle stick into the hole in the back to open the drawer.

Story Room 8 Walkthrough
Initial exploration (well, as much as you can call it "exploration" when you're examining a single wall of a single room...)
The clock
Instead of numbers, the clock has primary-colored circles.
Trashcan
I do believe that's water in that there trash can. (Did the roof leak?)
Picture
It's a rather boring picture - just four colorful stars in the corners, and a big white expanse in between. And it's not hung very well - it wobbles.
Box on the left
It has three primary-colored buttons, an image that looks rather like the dial of a clock, and a sequence of numbers.
Box on the right
There are three diamond-shaped indentations on the top, in cyan, pink, and yellow.
Top of table
There's a series of primary-colored annulets (aka open circles).
Underside of table
It says "+48" in a big blue square.
Cupboard - glass doors
The doors are locked - looks like it needs an ordinary key.
Middle drawer of cupboard
It needs a three-digit code having to do with a red and blue square.
Bottom doors of cupboard
This needs a three-digit code having to do with annulets.
Time to solve some puzzles
Box on the left
The clue is the clock.
Make a note of the colors corresponding to the sequence of numbers, then press the buttons in that order.
Colorblind help:
1=red, 4=yellow, 6=yellow, 9=blue, 10=yellow, 12=yellow, and the buttons are left=blue, middle=yellow, right=red. Thus, press RMMLMM
Get the pink block.
Bottom doors of cupboard
The clue is written on the tabletop.
Colorblind help:
There are three yellow annulets, 6 blue ones, and 1 red one. The first number is red, second is blue, third is yellow. Thus, the code is 163.
Get the cyan block, and note the "150" in a big red square.
Middle drawer of cupboard
You just got the second part of this code - the first part was under the table.
Just add the two numbers to get the code of 198.
Get the yellow block, and note the word "water" written on the bottom.
Box on the right
Put your three blocks into the slots on the top (it'll automatically put then in the appropriately-colored spot, so no colorblind help needed). Get the small key.
Glass doors
Use the small key to open the doors. Get the wineglass.
Wobbly picture
Remember the word "water"?
Fill the wineglass with water from the trashcan. Pour the water into the middle drawer of the cupboard. (Random acts of destruction, anyone?)
Note the new code - a star and some letters.
Go to the wobbly picture, since it's the only other thing in the room with stars. Press the corners according to the watery clue.
Colorblind help:
Top left = red, top right = green, bottom left = yellow, bottom right = blue. So RBYBGR translates to TL, BR, BL, BR, TR, TL.
Get the key.
Exiting: use the key from behind the picture on the door. (Yes, there's a spot in your inventory that remains empty, but I have not been able to find any other secret item that leads to a different ending.)
