Well, would you look at that! It seems the escape game fairy has been here again. Maybe you're saying to yourself, "Uh, escape game fairy?" It's true, though. The ol' EGF as I like to call her is as real as anything. Oh now, lose that skeptical scowl. It's not a flattering look (although, honestly, if anyone can get away with it, you can). But since you want proof, I'll give it to you: These three lovely creations from FunkyLand, Vitamin Hana and Primera. You need just spend a few moments poking around a whimsy-lush kitchen, viewing the starry sky from a puzzle-filled bedroom, or gathering colorful marbles in a single-scened room and you'll be convinced—the escape game fairy is truly real! You don't want to hurt her feelings and scare her away by doubting, do you? Like the magic that makes Santa's reindeer fly, you only have to believe...
Fruit Kitchens No.20: Chinese Quince Yellow - Have you never eaten a quince before? Neither have I, but after playing this installment of FunkyLand's fruity finds series, the next time I see one of those funny little net-wrapped fruits in the supermarket, I'm picking it up. As for the game itself, there's not much new to explain to anyone who's played even just a few FunkyLand games: Here you must gather up seven quince to earn the door key, which is made fun through creatively tactile puzzles and playful clue presentation. The only downside to this dainty yellow kitchen full of goodies: you'll end up salivating and thinking about your grandma, two sensations you really didn't want to feel simultaneously.
Bedroom Starlight - Although it's nighttime and you're stuck inside, because this room comes from Vitamin Hana's imagination, it'll leave you in a sunny mood. Vitamin Hana is one of those authors who knows how to hit the sweet spot of just tricky enough. It's a little bit like something Yonashi would come up with, but it doesn't quite live up to the comparison in terms of creativity. You'll have to do some thinking here to earn your freedom. But not so much thinking that it'll harsh your chill, if you know what I mean. Straight-forward clue presentation and an overall vibe of cute keep this excursion on the light side.
Marbles - While I couldn't help comparing Vitamin Hana's style to Yonashi, I have to say the design of this title from Primera's Blueice reminds me quite a lot of Vitamin Hana yet very little of Yonashi. Which is fine. To me, game designers seem like celebrities. I like to picture them all gathered together over coffee each week, sharing stories about school days and chatting about new ways to entertain their fans in ways both big and small. In this case, this single scene in which you need to find only three marbles to escape is quite short and sweet, making it a nice aperitif for our Weekday Escape klatch.

Out, out & out! Nice trio of head-scratchers!
hint for the key in the yellow kitchen:
think shrinky-dinks.
In bedroom starlight - Are we suppose to use the feather-on-a-string to attract the cat? If so, my cat is ignoring it. Do I need something else?
In bedroom starlight - put the feather toy on the window ledge.
Thank you slta! I was very confused there.
In Bedroom Starlight, I am stuck with
a feather on a string (I'm assuming some kind of cat toy), and the piece of paper with the symbols listed.
The only cabinet I haven't unlocked is the red letters one, and surprisingly the recycled clue didn't work.
You can't just put in CAT, even though that clue was already used for the shapes cabinet
It's a kind of cute game.
Never mind, there was only 1 comment when I put mine in. Out now.
For anybody stuck as to how to clean a certain item,
it requires a damp cloth
Thanks! Perfect hint.
In Bedroom Starlight, the refrigerator
has something written on its right side. It's tricky to click in just the right place to get it to show. (I don't know exactly what I did differently the time it worked.)
