It was 10 years ago today, April 19, 2003, that I started this blog on the servers at RIT where I was a returning student, studying for a degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Games. It wasn't until later in 2004 that I finally got my act together and decided to write about the free browser games that were just beginning to become a "thing", but my initial "Hello World" post celebrates its 10th anniversary today.
Over the years the site grew in size by including additional writers, most of whom have been regular readers of the site, and that allowed me to move behind the scenes to take a more administrative and managerial role. Today the site is so much more than I could have ever accomplished on my own that it doesn't feel right anymore talking about it in the first person.
Everyone here at JIG is thankful and grateful to our wonderful, supportive community for hanging with us and watching us grow over the past 10 years. Your comments, your feedback, and your visits have been our sustenance, our reason to keep doing what we love to do most: bringing you the very best games we can find on this planet we all call home.
Here's to the next 10 years! :D
10 years! How time flies. Happy anniversary!
Happy birthday and thank you to all at JIG who provide great gaming info!
Gee, thanks for reminding me of how old I'm getting.
Knock knock - Who's there? - Mortality! Aww... :(
It's weird to think it's been so long. I actually reviewed Jayisgames back in 2004 when I hosted an amateur show on C31 (the community channel in Melbourne). I don't think any other sites I reviewed still exist or at least aren't abandoned now (I'm looking at you Homestarrunner).
Congratulations on not only still standing but continuing to improve and bring new content on such a regular basis AND not devolving into something troll ridden or overly commercialised. I honestly do think this is the best website ever, I can't think of another site I must visit everyday lest I get withdrawals and yell at strangers.
Cheers to you Jay as well as Dora, Tricky, Elle, Grinnyp, JohnB, Meaghan and all the rest. My love for you guys is anything but casual... if anything it's become a little creepy now.
Here's to the next ten years! :D
Happy 10th, JiG!

Here's hoping the next 10 years are as interesting! :D
Happy anniversary!
gg Jay and team!
Will always be here, waiting for you!
Say it isnt so -10 years!! A long time lurker, I have learned alot about data computing and gaming - that is for a liberal arts major. I felt like part of a family as the familar names of Capuchin, anodeandcathode, Matt, Sonic, Onyx mouse, Haruku, Mateusk, Tonypa, and so many others, popped up weekly. Although I miss the old days of no adverts and personal Jay insights, nothing stays static. We must go forward. And this site has helped to keep me sane.
Thank you Jay for your fairness and level-head in dealing with the day to day troubles. I know you must have been tempted many times to flame but you always stay above the fray. Keep your New Year updates/musings. We like to keep up with, not just the games, but the life and trials and philosophy of our favorite gamer.
My! how we have all grown :)
I have no memory of the past 10 years. \o/
Wow I feel like such a newcomer.... but I've still been around here long enough to know that this really is the best gaming site going around.
Happy Birthday JIG!
Grats dude!
Happy birthday and thanks for helping me waste countless happy hours, for real. Jay is Games has been a regular stop on my rounds for at least six years and I appreciate all the work you all have done. The site gets better all the time.
Thanks for everything, Jay & Co.!
May I be allowed to point out that JIG has the same birthday as a certain Booker DeWitt? :D
Love ya!
Huzzah! I can't say enough about how the JIG community has changed my perception of gaming. And reality. AND THE WORLD.
Now, we have hidden ten candles around your room. Find them all and get a happy coin!
10 years? Wow! Thank you for years of great games!
Congratulations and thanks for all the opportunities to do something other than what I should be doing at the time! By far my favorite place to vist now and in the future!
happy birthday JiG!
Congratulations, and best wishes for the next ten!
Happy Birthday, JIG! Here's to another 10 years!
Only 10 years?
Despite my 56 years of age, I feel like we have grown up together.
You were my gateway from old-school PC RPGs to casual gaming. Many, many thanks and best wishes for the years to come.
In early 2005 I got my first review ever for one of my games from JayisGames, for the game Ball Revamped 2. Since then I have been coming back to see and experience new games on a daily basis. Jay and his team has a knack for surfacing really great content and they have done a tremendous job supporting me and ton of other game developers.
Thanks so much for being a great resource for both game developers and game players, and I really can't thank you guys enough for all the reviews over the past years. Here's to the next ten!

Happy Decade, JiG! I'm proud to say that I was with you for most of it. :D
Now I'm in the mood to root through the archives and play some of the earliest games you guys featured. I may actually remember some of them.
Cheers to ten years!!
hard to believe its been 10 years... hard to believe i've been following jig for 10 years. Wow.
still come here for my daily dose of web gaming.
Happy 10th Anniversary Indeed Jay! I've been a fan for most of those years because JIG has always been, and still is the best game site around hands down.
Looking forward to your continued success for the next 10!
I don't always comment regularly, but I'm proud to have been a visitor of JIG for at least five of those years, and looking forward to more. Thanks for being a major part of my online gaming obsession.
Oh, the nostalgia! It's so awesome to see JiG lasting through the years. Congrats on becoming a decade-old internet establishment, from an old friend and former reviewer.
Years ago, when I decided to find out if there were any games like the crimson room, and I kept googling things like "best room escape games", I stumbled upon your site. I have never needed to look any place else. Even though I have a personality that, at times, seems a little to abrasive for the internet, I enjoy visiting JIG and interacting with everybody here. (Even though I'm the one who tweeted that all your reviewers look like serial killers. JohnB still looks like Willard to me.) Checking out the genres I love, and occasionally trying out a new one. Chatting (where did that go, by the way?). Getting excited about finding a game immediately after it's posted, and racing to make a walkthrough, for no reason other than that sense of success when you know people use it. (Then having Paul complain about it. :D)
Congrats on 10 years man. Here's hoping I don't get banned.
What is that the tin anniversary?

Congrats on the ten years! Hope for ten more.
Congrats, Jay and company!
Happy birthday jayisgames.
For that i will play some games.
Sure is will be some of your game's.
Happy birthday jayisgames.
Sing it like Happy birthday
Happy 10th Anniversary Jig :D Miss you guys!
Happy Birthday!
Now how do I get past level 10???
Loyal reader and infrequent poster for many years.
Thanks!
Happy anniversary, JIG! I hope there are many more in your future. Thanks so much for being here.
And, btw, bring back Letters In Boxes!
@DAM But... a happy and hug-filled Willard, right? :-)
Wow! And I know I've been here for at least 6 of those years, and I'm grateful you're still going strong. Congratulations.
Wow, I can't believe it's been 10 years! Congratulations and happy anniversary!! I don't post here much, but I have been a faithful reader for 9 of those 10 years starting with Tontie! And this was before Tontie had a save option. Oh man, I feel old now, hehe. I found an old e-mail from Jay back in 2005 while I was trying to find my password for commenting (couldn't find it, ended up using Google). It was a thoughtful e-mail thanking me for a small donation I gave to the site that I so love. I think at the time, the blog was still a one-man show, and he asked his readers for a little monetary help. I am so glad to know that my donation may have helped JIG get this far. May we see many more fun games to come for many more years! -ErikaM
Thank you for letting us all be a part of this! I found JiG through a class I took in my masters English program in 2006, and I've hardly missed a day in 7 years. This is like a home away from home. Some of us oldies do miss your insights, Jay, but I also appreciate that you take a personal interest in things like lost usernames! Many of the folks here have become comfy old friends and I love spending my free time with you and all of them.
Happy Anniversary!
