Baby Monkey (going backwards on a pig)Baby monkey! Baby monkey! It's the baby monkey game, baby monkey! Grab a banana! Crash through a pumpkin! Backwards on a pig, baby monkey! And that's all you need to know! Make the monkey jump, make the pig jump, collect bananas, avoid non-banana things. That's about all there is, but it's so sugar-sweet cute, you'll try again and again with this arcade-style running game. Extra super bonus challenge: play the game for 30 seconds and spend the next hour trying to get the song out of your head!

Forget-Me-NotMazes plus monsters plus shooting equals so much fun. Run around the Pac-Man-esque corridors as you pick up dots and shoot at enemies. Nab the key and head to the door to exit the floor and make your way to deeper, more difficult levels. Old school retro stylings make this game feel like it should be on an arcade cabinet, and the high score-centric skill-based gameplay reinforces that aesthetic. Just how good are you at picking up dots, anyway?!

GoatUpFrom Llamasoft, creator of some truly delicious games, comes a strange sort of arcade game that's all about goats kissing. Sort of. Your main goat pal must hop to climb platforms higher and higher up the mountain. Kiss goats and eat grass to make kids, and pick up every item you come across (there are loads of them). Enemies, of course, make an appearance, but really it's all about kissing goats as you much on grass and hop around like a mad... goat.

Hypership Out of ControlInsane, this game is. Really, really fast and insane. You know how shmups like to throw a lot of things at you at a rather quick speed? Well, imagine that being the central focus of a vertical shmup, but then imagine it being completely playable and enjoyable to a casual, mobile crowd. An arcade game in the most basic way, Hypership Out of Control puts you in the cockpit of a spaceship with no brakes (space brakes?), careening through the black collecting coins, shooting asteroids, nabbing power-ups, and avoiding things that make you go splat. The level design is by far the strongest aspect of this game, and expect some close shaves with moving blocks along with coin trails that attempt to lead you into a wall. A brilliant, crazy-fun game!

Jetpack JoyrideFrom Halfbrick Studios comes a cave flying-style game with the power to keep you playing for many multiple hours. Jetpack Joyride takes the best from jump-and-run-style games and mixes in a host of achievements, missions, store upgrades, vehicles and more, crafting a game that looks phenomenal and will keep you doing "just one more joyride" dozens of times in a row.

Mighty Fin Similar to Tiny Wings, Mighty Fin is a great-looking physics racing game with just one method of control. Tap the screen to make Fin sink underwater. Time your moves to gather all the orbs, and release your finger to send Fin up, splashing out of the water to make some impressive leaps over boats, rocks, and other land-based obstacles. The coolest part is being able to change your costume, with unlockable outfits ranging from bunny ears to the coolest pair of sunglasses ever crafted on this Earth. work your way through each level as you master your fine, fishy controls. From Launching Pad Games, the creator of the iPhone adventure game, Scarlett and the Spark of Life.

Mind WallFrom the same mind that brought us Dungeon Scroll, Mind Wall is a puzzle game that's as simple as fitting blocks through a wall. A mass of cubes slowly zooms into view. Look at the shape outlined in the top right corner, then tap any one block in the wall to remove it, the goal being to open a space large enough to fit the target shape. Succeed, and you move on. Fail, and you don't. Unlockable game modes give you an extra incentive to move on, but the real draw is the game's immense challenge. You'd never think something like this could be so difficult!

Monkey LabourOld school LCD handhelds will never die, not even when super-futuristic touch screen devices rule the world! This lovely emulated LCD game is all about carrying piles of wood from the conveyor belt to the furnace. Problem is, a monkey is standing above you trying to bonk you on the head. Stoke the fire with several logs, and when the monkey is below the lit burner, let him have a taste of fire! A great game of its own accord, but if nostalgia rules your video game budget, you should definitely grab this one right away!

Mr.Oops!!From the team behind Mr.Aaah!!, Mr.Ninja, and Do Do EGG!, Mr.Oops!! is yet another infinitely-playable quick-fire arcade game! This time around, the so-named Mr. Oops is standing on a grid, dancing like he just don't care. Then, rocks (or, later, cannon balls or lasers) start to roll from the sides of the screen, indicated by the flashing arrows. Swipe the screen to move Mr. Oops to a safe spot on the grid, then repeat wave after wave. As you play, you unlock newer, faster, harder levels to play. Just as tempting to fire up as the studio's other releases, and just as awesome to play!

Robotek HDIf someone sat you down and told you that playing a game of giant robot vs. giant robot where combat is handled by randomly-spinning slots, you'd be all like "psheh, more like boring!". Then that special someone would sit you down and get you to play Robotek HD, at which point you'd have to eat your words, because this robot battling game is quite the awesome one. Nasty 'bots have taken over your world, but you're fighting back, one node at a time. Face off against another machine and start the slots spinning to determine your attack. Get a strong roll and your moves will be stronger. Get a weak one and they'll be weaker. With that left up to luck, your strategy comes in the form of choosing which set of slots to spin: defense, hacking, or attacking. It's very much a rock-paper-scissors sort of game. Learn the symbols, play it careful and strategic, and you'll emerge victorious time after time!

Sea StarsSharing features with games like Whale Trail and Tiny Wings is awesome enough, but build a game like that in the style of Jetpack Joyride, and you've got something seriously addictive on your hands. Tap the screen to descend, release to jump. Collect stars, avoid jellyfish, pick up power-ups... you get the drill. Only now, just about everything you do counts towards achievements, and with each run you do through the ocean, you gain coins and levels, allowing you to purchase upgrades from the store. In addition to all of that, each round you're given missions to complete, meaning you pretty much never run out of things to do! All of this and it was designed by Hothead Games, too, the creators of Kickin' Momma. A fantastic diversion with plenty of adorable/habit-forming gameplay elements to make you want to keep playing forever!

Sr. MistuA game that may be too simple for its own good, Sr. Mistu more than makes up for fragile gameplay with a phenomenal presentation. Our little blind protagonist has run out of olives for his pizza. So, naturally, he wanders around the world looking for olives floating on the ground. To traverse each level, you must draw a path for his dog, Gaido, to lead him on. Avoid the moving obstacles by predicting their location when Mistu reaches that point. It isn't a very deep game, but it's somehow satisfying thanks to the colored pencil visuals and soothing music. Sr. Mistu HD for iPad is also available.

StardunkTalk about "just one more round"! This excellent space-based physics game from Godzilab, creator of iBlast Moki 2, will fool you with its simple premise. But once you sink half an hour into it, then shoot for another half an hour, you'll be all "ok fine it's really really awesome". Tap and drag across the screen to choose the ball's trajectory, then tap again to send it flying. Aim for the basket and you score. Miss and your position is reset for another shot. The coolest part is the game is massively multiplayer in nature, pitting you against all the other players of Stardunk at the same time. How's that for a game of b-ball?! Also available for iOS devices as Stardunk and Stardunk Gold.

The Last RocketThe Last Rocket, from Shaun Inman, looks and sounds like it belongs on the top shelf of your Game Boy Color library. It plays like a puzzle-oriented version of VVVVVV, high level of difficulty and retro presentation included. It's the sort of game that will challenge you to make precise movements, quick decisions, and flawless maneuvers, and if you fail, you die and have to start the level all over again. But hey, you don't get to be the big hero without crashing into spikes a few dozen times, do you?

Time DucksIt's like Frogger, only you can manipulate time! Your job is to guide 15 different animals across the street, drawing paths for them that avoid the moving vehicles. But, by using the astonishingly "unpatented" finger swinging technology, these animals can reverse or speed up time, shifting cars around and allowing you to chain together combo moves to unlock some of the game's 30+ achievements.

Tiny WingsAn adorable and simply marvelous one-button game where you control a fat little bird whose wings barely function. Tap and hold the screen to fold your wings in and dive, sliding along the hillsides to gain speed. Release the screen to take flight, turning that momentum into a bit of air time. Gobble the glowing pellets on the screen if you can, and stay on the move to beat the lurking darkness. One of those rare games that instills a bit of wonder into the player.

VelocizpiderIn addition to being the scariest thing you could imagine finding in your bathroom late at night, Velocispider is also the lone defender of a trio of endangered araknasaur eggs. Armed with an auto-firing gun, tilt your iOS device left and right to slide along the bottom of the screen, shooting at the aliens above Space Invaders-style. On occasion you'll pick up a nice power-up that temporarily boosts your firepower, but other than that, it's just you and a seemingly endless supply of aliens. Protect those eggs! The free Velocispider Zero is also available.

Whale TrailBaron von Barry is chasing Willow the Whale, but she's got a secret weapon: she can fly! Bobbing through the clouds like a bird, collect bubbles to keep Willow aloft while you avoid the Thunder Bros. and deal with an assortment of other obstacles along the way. It's very much like an inverted Tiny Wings, only with more air tricks (mid-air loops, anyone?) and a completely different art direction. Surprisingly well-made, and not frustrating in the slightest!
