If you've ever felt like you don't have quite enough circles in your life, Florian van Strien's CircloO 2 might just be the game for you. This minimalist two-button platformer combines ball physics and puzzling elements. Roll your ball left and right with the arrow keys to collect circles. Each time you collect a circle, the arena grows a little and you'll find a new circle to collect. Collect all the circles and you get to progress to the next level where a fresh challenge (and a fresh game mechanic) awaits you.
CircloO 2 has 24 levels, each comprising ten increasingly taxing tasks involving bridges, traps, jumps, tunnels and more. You'll probably get stuck at least once or twice, but a simple reset with the r-key allows you to get straight back into the action. The difficulty scales upwards nicely and you're constantly rewarded for learning new skills as these always come up in future levels. Time-trial addicts will enjoy returning to previous levels to see if they can beat the clock on their previous attempts.
Total playtime is approx. 1 hour from start to finish and there's a toe-tapping guitar soundtrack from Stijn Cappetijn to keep you entertained while you play. Overall CircloO is a more accomplished product than the original Circloo, while maintaining the same gameplay. Players will enjoy either dipping into the game when they have a spare minute or as a longer challenge to while away an hour.
