Gunfox! We need your help! MonsterBoss is back and is climbing the skyscraper in his robotic suit for probably, we assume, nefarious purposes and you're the only one that can save us! Your adorableness is the only match to the monstrous cuteness of his minions. So jump, shoot, and slide to climb your way to the top to have your face-off. No barrel rolls needed in Kipper Digital's new action shooter game, Gunfox vs. MonsterBoss. Fabulous upgrades, convenient check points, and charming little foes that come with a new tacit to defeat them, make this a well polished, delightful adventure you're not going to want to miss. Gunfox aims the way he's facing or pressing the up [arrow] makes him aim his gun to the high heavens, letting you take out your targets before they land. Slide with the down [arrow] into enemies on the ground to knock them back up and give you another shot at their soft underbellies. Collect coins to buy upgrades and pick up bombs to use when things get a bit hairy and over all just enjoy being hard core and looking adorable while doing so. Upgrades are handled a bit differently than most games, using five different tree charts. Even though checkpoints happen every five levels, you can spend coins to skip back to where you died, though once you hit a checkpoint you can't go back to replay.
Within the thirty levels there are three main boss battles, but using the same character with the same weak points every time makes them rather easy compared to the levels themselves. The boss battles are slightly different from the waves and give a nice little break as well as give you a sense of accomplishment. There are mini goals with each level as well, with different prizes for each. Speed through a level without any escapees? Gold plated chest for you. Lose most of your hearts and let the minions run away? Here's an old cardboard box, ya pansy. It's the little touches in this game that make it a blast to play, like the panic of a pigeon as a bullet whizzes towards it, or how the little minions who find themselves without their armor mosey around indecisively. It's the little things that make Gunfox vs. MonsterBoss such a charming and entertaining game. If you're not too caught up on the easy boss battle and focus more on the levels themselves, you're in for an action pack treat of sweetness.
There's a little typo in this game's tags. Since it's a "broswer" game, it won't show up for people using the Browser tab up top. I figured that wasn't intentional. :)
I found another game with the same typo: Choice of the Deathless, reviewed in December 2013.
Thanks for the heads up! =D
How do you kill the metal safe enemies when you run out of bombs? Lasers and shrapnel doesn't seem to be working.
I can handle almost anything even the bosses...but not this.
If its the enemy I think it is, you need to jump on top, onto the small enemy controlling it. Double jump should help with this.
Thanks for the tip. I also discovered you could slide into them and rotate their position. Then shoot them at the sides.
The game lags as soon as I get to the 10 level. I can't get past it due to it.
