The Sky HousePoofyWhat if you wake up some day and you just want to go outside to get some fresh air. Oh, did I forget to mention that you're also some kind of flying creature that lives in a flying house that's filled with lethal spikes and such? Yes, it's not easy to go outside as this little metroidvania game proves.

The Sky House

The Sky House is inspired by REDDER and VVVVVV, and will take about 15 mins to complete. That is, if you have enough skill to not die! Because you will die a lot in this game. The difficulty is medium, but you need to have some sort of control over your fingers if you don't want to fail often. Luckily there's save spots scattered around on strategic points, so if you die you don't lose a lot of progress. The game is made with TIC-80 and has that distinct pixelated style that comes with TIC games, which brings it's charm with it. Now go and fly, fly because your life depends on it!

The Flappy Bird-style jumping makes this game a literal pain to play. My final time was 2003 seconds, which means half an hour of button-mashing, and the final section with the screen shake and flashing really bugs my eyes.

Other than those issues, the game is well-designed, and the mechanics make even the most boring laser and spike traps seem fresh and challenging.

I finally rage-quit at the laser traps. For me, it quit being nicely balanced between puzzle and skill, and just turned to straight skill, which I don't have :-D

Made a really basic map; doesn't show any of the secrets passages or pickups
