A new Nest of Moai game has recently been released! The same quirky atmosphere and simple gameplay as the original are here, but now the screen is much bigger, there are more levels, and the moai statues follow different patterns. All you have to do is move the cursor over the statues as they fly on-screen, pop out from behind buildings, or sit sipping tea inside their homes.
This new Nest of Moai game does add one new gameplay element to the mix: zooming. Use the left mouse button (or scroll wheel if you have one) to switch between views. When zoomed in you can see hidden statues that give you bonus points, but you might miss some moai that appear outside of your viewing range. Zooming in also reveals several bonus scenes.
Bigger, better, and with more moai hilarity.
I don't read Japanese. What should I click to get past the Dancin' Paradise banner ad?
I'm......in....awe....
The music's beautiful, the humour fantastic.
I was singing along (doo doo doo!)
Jon - click nothing just wait....
In the same boat as Jon, I don't see the game. I waited for 5 minutes and nothing happened, so where am I supposed to click?
You're not supposed to click. The ad displays for about a minute, and then fades away. The game will load following the ad.
If the ad does not eventually disappear for you, try reloading the page. Perhaps the ad got stuck?
Weird, but cool. I got rank j before losing
SSS-rank, pretty difficult stuff.
There's actually ANOTHER moai game linked to this one... if you look at the bottom of the page, there's a link to a second moai game where you have to find the right spot on the screen that aligns all the moai statues so that they're facing directly at you. Very challenging!
Heh, Atomic, look at the entry posted before this one :)
I love the improvements, but what happened when i got to lvl 5? low battery???
What does it mean when the battery dies? Is that a level?
I kept getting battery dead at the kitchen appliance level too. You have to get 600 together in all the levels before it in order to gain access to the level. Finished with rank 'F' with no tab, SSS with tab :P
Seriously, I LOVE this music, if anyone finds out if this person has a band/actual music or something, TELL ME! :D
The sound happens to come from HIROSUKE, although I don't know who they are. To listen to all the songs (sound test), on the title page, click the bottom right button and then on the "credits" page, click the 3 arrows. There, you can listen to the game's five songs. :D
I don't see the 3 arrows :(
I get to the credits page, but the only thing there that's clickable is the button that returns to the main menu again.
I like how when you zoom in , the little moai staues are themed with the level :D
I still like Tower of Moai better though.
hahah, couldn't get above rank K. very challenging, especially if you'e like me and don't handle your mouse too well.
The 3 arrows that lead to the sound test only appear after you play through the game at least once.
Strange, I was just thinking about this. If you google "Sound Capture", the first link gives you a handy appy that lets you record whatev you're listening to. I just pressed each sound test, and recorded each one. Hours of looping fun :D
Hehe, cute moai.
The little ones have afros.
Still, scientific research continues finding the reason HOW moai are standing on Easter Island in the first place (considering cranes never existed yet, and how the Moai are physically impossible to carry). People think it's aliens.
I got F with tab, E without tab.
The last bit in the "Tea Table on the Moon" level (the one in which you need to mouse over 600 moai in order to access) is IMPOSSIBLE to do perfectly.
Link's broken! Noo...!!
I haven't had a chance to play it yet.. :(
Hey Jay,
the link is broken. Is there a chance to find the game anywhere else?
[I tried to find another link, but I guess, after two years the game is just not online anymore. :( ~Greetings, Kayleigh]
I found a link, but the comment rule says 'no link dropping' :\
This is exactly like Doeo, which came out after it. Since I played Doeo first, this game quickly became boring. It's a pretty good game.
[Edit: Feel free to reference another game we have reviewed at JIG: https://jayisgames.com/archives/2008/04/doeo.php -Jay]
Hey, the link is working again! Yeah, more Moai-Fun!
