Bazooka Boy 2

Johnny123 Consider the bazooka. King of weapons. Used properly, a bazooka can reduce anything to charred rubble. It's useful for self-defense, scaling walls, launching oneself across rooms, and excavating precious stones. Or at least, that's what Arri would have you believe. In Bazooka Boy 2 you can do all this and more, wielding your mighty cannon as both digging tool and weapon as you push ever deeper into each wondrous cavern. The goal is to collect gold by blowing it up. Not a sound investment strategy in real life, but in the game it's tons of fun. Use the [WASD] keys to move and the mouse to shoot, jumping across chasms and tearing down walls in search of riches. Think of it as a browser-based Terraria, except with less resource collection and more high explosives.

Bazooka Boy 2Much of Bazooka Boy 2's charm comes from its presentation. The graphics are blocky, pixely goodness and the faux-metal soundtrack is as enthusiastic as they come. Having said that, you might expect a tough of lag when the particle effects ramp up. It's not quite a "Metroidvania" experience... barring the odd hidden sidebar, each of the fifteen levels are fairly linear and the upgrades for your bazooka are easy to find. What creative upgrades they are, though! Piercing rockets, rapid fire rockets, or even 360 degree death swirls of rockets are all at your fingertips at various points in the game. There are plenty of creative uses for each upgrade that you can discover if you're willing to break stuff. Add to that a difficulty curve that's firm but forgiving and you've got a fun time-destroyer. You simply can't deny a good bazooka.

Lags so much as to be unplayable. I died 3 times in under a minute with no idea as to what kept happening.

Sorry to hear that! I had no issues with lag whatsoever. Make sure your browsers are updated and so are your plugins, and perhaps try clearing your cache and closing other browser tabs. (Though I had this play fine with several tabs open.)You might also want to turn down the graphics settings in the helpfully included in-game menu. :)

Not able to unlock "Gotta catch 'em all." Do you get different guns on different play throughs? I have played through twice and I can not figure out what I am missing.

I've heard that "Level Complete" music before.... "Victory Theme" by Halcyonic Falcon X. But it's going to bug me until I remember from what game...
