JohnBBest of Casual Gameplay 2011Ready for another game of ambiance and intrigue from Nifflas? NightSky is the latest release from the designer/artist known for creating enchanting atmospheric settings in his games, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. It's simpler and more streamlined than Knytt Stories, but there's no shortage of challenge or variety to be had!

NightSky puts you in control of a rolling orb with a few special powers at its disposal. Puzzles take place on one (sometimes more) screen and connect directly to the next area. All you have to do is make it from one end to the other. Depending on the puzzle, your abilities will be different, allowing you to stop your movement or dash with the simple press of a button. NightSkyYou'll also get to use more interesting techniques like reversing gravity or removing marked gates, though these are used more sparingly.

You'll have to contend with a lot of physics-based obstacles, such as blocks on chains and swinging levers. The main challenge, though, is getting the ball up and through passageways, as each room is carefully tailored to make you think about your trajectory. Sometimes you'll have to hit a ramp at just the right speed, other times it's a hairpin stop you'll have to pull off. Either way, failure is part of the experience, and you'll start most levels over half a dozen times before you get it right. Fortunately the game's soothing soundtrack (provided by Chris Schlarb) keeps frustration at bay, and you couldn't possibly get angry at a game this minimalistically beautiful.

NightSkyAnalysis: Right from the intro, you know you're playing a Nifflas game. If you've been following his releases for some time, it's easy to see where inspiration from NightSky came from. It's got the simplicity of Knytt mixed with the puzzles (and, heck, the protagonist, sort of) from Within a Deep Forest. All of this is wrapped in the deliciously zen audio visual package we expect from this developer. In short: NightSky is exactly what you want it to be, complete with challenge, replayability, and mood.

From the beginning you can choose between normal and advanced modes, the former offering more tutorials and simpler puzzles (think "casual"), while the latter offers more challenge and less hand holding. It's best to start with normal mode, no matter how good you are at physics games, as this one eases you into NightSky at the perfect pace. When you've beaten the game's ten worlds, feel free to go back and get challenged!

NightSky isn't a terribly long game by any means, but the amount of content feels perfect. On the surface, the puzzles aren't anything new, but each time you hit a brick wall (figuratively, of course) you'll grin and go "aah, I see what you did there". Then it's off to experiment to see how you can make it through the level.

Night Sky Walkthrough

General Tips:

  • At the start of each level press the 2 power buttons (A and S), and experiment to see what they do.

  • The left and right arrow keys cause you to rotate anticlockwise and clockwise respectively. If you are on the ceiling or touching a wall, you will be moved as such, not just left or right. This is important for advanced jumping, especially later in the game and in alternative mode.

  • Pressing enter will activate any red objects highlighted with a target. Pressing up and down scrolls through such objects on the screen.

  • Get to the level select screen by pressing escape when in a world, or by selecting a world you've already completed

  • You can get stars for finding hidden exits in certain levels. Look for the outline of a star on the level select screen.

Common Powers

  • Brake (Red): Very common power. Slows the ball if it is moving. Also allows you to move slowly and precisely if you hold it while moving. Sometimes can help you up steep slopes.

  • Fast Rolling (Blue): Makes the ball roll much faster. Can be used to get more height from jumps, or change your velocity more from a brief contact with floor ceiling. Can make control harder, and sometimes you will just spin on the spot on steep slopes.

  • Reverse Gravity (Purple): As long as you hold it, gravity will go up instead of down. You can change it whenever you want by releasing/holding the key, even in midair, etc. Note that when you are on the ceiling holding right will move you left and holding left will move you right.

Normal Mode

  1. The Beach

    • Simply roll to the right for several screens.

  2. Harara Mountains

    1. Roll to the right for 2 screens. On the next screen use the small ramp to hop up to the platform and keep up speed to get up to the edge of the screen. Roll right across the last screen.

    2. Drop down, then use the ramp to hop the small gap and continue. On the next screen, use the ramps to jump from left to right up to the top of the screen. The snake at the top left is harmless. On the next screen roll down the ramp and use your momentum to launch off the ramp and out the right of the screen.

    3. A: Brake, S: Fast rolling.

    4. From the start, hold S and left to loop the loop and drop out to the exit. Roll over the small ramp, then hold S and right to launch off the ramp and on to the middle platform. Holding S and left again will launch you to top platform, but let go and hold A to brake before you land. Then simply hop right to exit this screen. On this screen, drop down and hold S and right to land on the left part of the top tunnel. Hop over to the right to finish the level.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Roll into the block quickly several times to knock it into the pit. Then roll over it out of the screen. Next roll up to the flat section in the middle. Jump over to the left and keep holding left to land on the top platform. Quickly brake to hold yourself there. Touch the yellow circle to unlock the door, then knock the large boulder right into the pit. Drop onto it and exit right. Keep going right to finish the level.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast rolling.

    8. Roll right to the next screen. Stop between the right and middle reeds to the left of the ramp, then use S and right to launch off the ramp into the tunnel. On the next screen drop down and head right.

    9. A: Brake.

    10. Hop across the platforms heading right. Use brake if you need to regain control. On the next screen, drop down onto the flat area. Hit Enter to drop the boulder, then roll right over the boulder and across gaps to the exit. On the next screen again, stop on the flat area and hit enter. The boulder will roll down and knock the bridge down. Roll over the bridge, and out to the right.

    11. Pinball Level.

    12. Instead of controlling the ball you control the environment. On the first screen left and right control the 2 flippers. Hit enter to release the ball, then use the flippers to hit the ball out to the right. Hitting it with the middle of the left flipper as it first rolls down should do it. On the next screen use the one flipper (controlled with left) to hit it across the gap. Then wait for the ball to roll and finish the level.

    13. A: Brake.

    14. Drop down and head left. Use the ramp to hop over the circle, then push it to the right. Push it onto the start screen and into the pit directly under where you started. Drop down onto it and roll out to the right. On the next screen use the ramp to jump onto the circles and roll over them to the right to finish the level.

    15. A: Brake.

    16. On this level you have no control over the ball except to slow it down. Hit enter to release it and start the level. When it has rolled to near the edge of the platform, hit the brake to slow it so it drops and continues rolling left. When it reaches the big slope, start braking about half way down. Let it roll to the right for 2 screens, then stop it when it drops on the cart. When the cart hits the right edge it will start the ball rolling to the right to the end of the level.

    17. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    18. Drop down, then use the small ramp to hop over the gap. Roll right, then reverse gravity to fall up the shaft. On the ceiling, the controls will seem reversed. (Right makes you move left and vv.) Roll right and drop down, then head out to the right. Drop down the cliff and continue right. On the next screen, use the brake to position yourself on the small raised flat part of the ground, then reverse gravity to fall up to the top tunnel. Roll out to the right to finish the level.

    19. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    20. Roll off to the right, and reverse gravity in midair to land on the ceiling. Head right to the next screen, where you should land on the small platform. Position yourself on the right edge of the platform. Reverse gravity so the chain bunches up in the space in the ceiling. You may need to release and hold S a few times. Then roll across the chain and out to the right. On the next screen drop down onto the bowl shaped area. Press enter once only, then go right. Drop down onto the second red platform and exit right.

    21. A: Brake.

    22. Drop onto the cart, and hold brake to stay on. Ride it for 2 screens, then when it stops hop off and head right.

    23. Brake is permanently on this level. Drop right onto the small platform. Wait for the spinning platform to become almost horizontal, then roll onto it and right as fast as you can to drop onto the next platform. Then just roll right over the small gaps and up the slope. On the next screen, roll up to the lip of the platform above the spinning triangle. When a corner passes close to you, drop onto it and hold right to drop off to solid ground. Keep going right to finish the level and the world!

  3. Skymning

    1. A: Brake.

    2. Drop down, then roll across to the right. Use the ramp to hop the gap, then continue right.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Drop down and continue right. Roll into the bridge to knock it over and continue. Then roll into the boulder to push it into the pit. Continue on to finish the level.

    5. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    6. Drop down, and fast roll around the loop to get to the exit. Smack into the crate as fast as you can, and you should be able to push past. If not, move back letting it swing back towards you and try again. Next, leap off the ramp using fast rolling to hit the hanging boulder into the other boulder. It should drop off the ledge, plugging the gap so you can continue.

    7. Head across the upper platform, and drop onto the seesaw. Stop yourself on the right side, then drop the boulder to catapult yourself out. Next just charge into the pile of boxes, and persistence should get you over them.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Drop down and continue on. Leap the gaps at normal speed, and use brake when you land to stop yourself going too far. Continue right.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Head right. Don't bother with the cannon on this screen. Instead just hop onto the hanging platform, and straight off to the right. Next drop into the depression in the floor, then fire the cannon a few times to set the boulder rolling. Once it passes over you, exit right.

    12. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    13. Roll across each of the hanging platforms, being careful not to hit the chains too hard. Next position yourself under the left side of the log, and drop it onto you. Roll right to push it and bridge the gap. Continue on, then drop into the ramp. Build up speed on the way down and jump out. You need to hit the sloped ceiling above to get deflected out.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Roll fast to the left to get up, and then knock the boxes down. Rolling left when on top of them. will spray them out to the right. Get down, the drop into the pit. Push a box over to the right edge of the pit, then use it to hop out. Head up the slope and onto the cart. Brake to stay in place until it stops. Get off and head out to the right.

    16. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    17. Drop onto the cart and stop yourself. It should roll up the ramp on the left, then back down to the right. Once you near the right edge, use the lip on the cart to hop out to the right. Next get onto the platform in the middle. Fire the cannon once or twice to start the cart moving, then drop on top of it. When it reaches the right of the screen hop off and continue. The creature on the next screen is harmless.

    18. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    19. Stop on the flat ground, then reverse gravity. Roll right across the ceiling, use the upside down ramp on the ceiling to hop onto the box and out through the tunnel. Head through the next screen, using reversed gravity to get up and down the snaking tunnels. Next, use reverse gravity to start the hammer swinging. When it swings right drop down into the hole. Then when it swings left, reverse gravity again to get yourself out. Then continue right.

    20. A: Brake.

    21. You're stuck inside a car contraption for this level. Left will move you right and right will move you left. Use brake to slow down and keep under control. If you do start flipping over you may be able to roll with it and come back upright. Head right over the hills, using brake to keep under control on the way down. If you can't get up to the top move back and take a longer run up. When you reach the hanging log, make sure you take a good run up, jump onto it and keep going right as quick as possible and jump off.

    22. A: Brake, S: reverse gravity.

    23. Again, you're stuck in a car. Head right and reverse gravity as you go up the wall to drop onto the ceiling. Move out to the right, and jump off the ramp on the ceiling and let gravity return to normal to get onto the floor. Then drive up the right wall and flip gravity again to get onto the ceiling near the exit. Head right, then let yourself drop down the ramp, all the way to the floor. You can use left and right to affect your trajectory and try to land upright. Then just drive out to the exit.

    24. S: Fast rolling. Drop down the shaft, and spin to push the crate out of the way. Then head right, navigating over any stray crate. Drop onto the plank, and roll left. This will push it right allowing you to drop past it. Head up the slope to the exit. Go up to the small rock, and roll over it to push it down the slope. Then get on the platform. The combined weight will lower it, allowing you to continue.

  4. Old Ruins

    1. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    2. Drop onto the square when a corner is angled towards you, then roll up and use it as a ramp to hop up to the exit. Use normal speed, not fast rolling. Hop onto the platform and use brake to hold yourself on until it swings across. Drop down onto the platform, and then roll across the gaps. Keep going and you should make it across.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Roll up and onto the platform. Use brake to hold yourself in place as it swings along. Once it stops, get off and continue. Roll up the ramp and keep holding right to get deflected onto the next ramp. Get to the flat part at the top of that, and then hop over to the right. Roll across the 3 hanging platforms to the exit.

    5. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    6. Get onto the hanging platform, then release the wheel. Once you reach the bottom get off and jump over to the right and up the slope. Get down onto the bottom flat are, being careful not to fly off the edge. Hold S and left to get up to the upper platform, and quickly brake when you land on the slope. Get on the hanging platform, wait until you get back down parallel to the lower flat area and get off to the right. The platform chain and weight should fall off the screen. Repeat the previous method to get back up, then hop over to the right. Continue right to the level end.

    7. A: Brake.

    8. Fire the cannon to start the cart rolling. Brake to stay on it, until you near the raised ledge. Use the lip of the cart to jump up to it, and cross to the next screen carefully. Wait for the cart to stop, then push the wheel down onto it, and up the slope to the right. Push it all the way to the right, then roll over it to get up to the exit.

    9. A: Brake.

    10. Release the wheels in the order: Middle, Right, Left. Allow each to stop before releasing the next. Go right, drop down and head back left. Drop down, roll over the wheel to get out to the right. On this screen, target the hammer, then press enter 3 times quickly. The wheel should be pushed down next to the right exit. Use it to get up and out. Continue right to the exit.

    11. Permanent brake.

    12. Roll right, and press enter to drop blocks when the platform starts sinking. Try and start it swaying the opposite way, before you move forward a bit, then correct it again. When you reach the right side hop off and continue. Drop onto the first windmill when it's nearly horizontal, and then roll straight to the next one. Wait for this one to rotate and then drop onto solid ground on the right. Continue right to exit.

    13. A: Brake.

    14. Go right, then roll down the ramp and jump off quickly to jump clean over the windmill. Next, when the gap in the blades is horizontal, roll up the slope on the right and into the windmill. Go straight through and get out onto the right raised ledge when the blade is high enough. Then drop onto the closed part of the windmill, wait for it to rotate and then jump off the blade to the right exit.

    15. Roll at the spinning blade and try to get under it. If you get caught, just keep pushing and you should be able to get through. Do the same with the 3 bladed obstacle on the next screen. Then roll up the right ramp, and get caught by the rapidly spinning blade. You'll get thrown left. Roll left as you land to get up and caught by the next blade, which will throw you to the exit. Drop into the next blade and ride it round to drop out at the bottom left. Drop onto the next windmill, wait and then jump off the blade to the right. Roll right and use the next blade to throw you up and left. Hold left to go up and loop back to the right exit.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Drop onto the first hanging platform, and continue quickly across and up the third to the slope on the right of the screen. Next, wait until the half blade passes close to you, then hop onto it and into the middle of the windmill. When the whole blade is horizontal, roll across it and drop onto the next windmill. When that has rotated enough, roll off it to the right. Continue right to exit.

    18. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    19. In this level you're in a 3 wheeled contraption. You don't need to worry about flipping over as you will always land with 2 wheels down. From the start, head right. Drop onto the windmill when a blade is just past horizontal towards the left, and ride it around and off to the right. Next you need to use the ramp to hop the gap. Make sure you start from the flat and build up enough speed. If you're too aggressive though, you'll flip over which is counter productive.

    20. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    21. Drop onto the first square, and use it as a ramp to get onto the middle square. Roll up that one and onto the right edge of the right square (Brake helps a lot when maneuvering on these slanted surfaces). From there, fast roll left up the 2 squares and launch off. Continue holding S and left. You should hit the curved wall and roll around it to the top right. Next, drop onto the left square. Roll off that to the next one. From there use it as a ramp to jump over to the next one. Use brake when you land to avoid sliding off. Get up onto the flatter surface, then use that as a ramp to hop left onto the ledge. Finally from there use the small ramp to hop up and out to the right. On the next screen, carefully roll down the squares and onto the rightmost one. Use that as a ramp to hop out to the right.

    22. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    23. First, you need to get out of the rotating trap. There's only one way out, and you need to roll and use reverse gravity to progress out. From the start, drop out of the very middle, roll left and reverse gravity to get up the shaft, and wait until it become horizontal. Then roll right and drop down and finally out. Once out, get up onto the ceiling. Go to the right edge, and then let yourself drop onto the lip of the tunnel, and then continue right. On the next screen you need to get into the middle and touch the gold ring, then get out. The best way is to get up to the middle of the ceiling, wait for the large gap to be directly under you and drop in. Quickly roll right, drop down and roll left to touch the ring. Then getting out should be quite simple. To actually get to the exit, you'll need to jump using reverse gravity. Start rolling right, then reverse gravity to lift yourself, and release again if you go too high. Do this to reach the tunnel on the right. Go through, and drop down. Position yourself under the square, then reverse gravity. Let yourself roll to one of the corners of the gap, then let everything fall. Then roll on top of the square, under the gap in the ceiling, and reverse gravity again. You should fly out the top. Then, exit right.

    24. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    25. Break the blocks in the order left, top, bottom. Then roll down onto the newly created ramp, and over to the right. Hop off the slope on the right and continue. Hold S and right, to launch off the ramp and around and up. Brake when you land. Next, from the right side of the ledge, hold S and left to launch up to the top middle. Drop down to the right. Hold S and left to launch yourself up and around to the right and exit.

  5. Perpetuum Factory

    1. Pinball Level.

    2. First release the wheel to the left, flick it up using the flippers. Repeat until several of the blocks have fallen to the right. Then release the ball. On the next screen, use the flipper to flick the ball across the gap. Finally wait for the ball to reach the end.

    3. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    4. Drop onto the cog, ride it around, and then roll off onto the slope to the right. Roll up that and over the gap to the next screen. Roll down the side of the depression and up the right quickly to launch yourself straight out over to the exit. Next, roll over the steep slope, and come to a stop next to the edge. Wait until the flat side of the cog is almost horizontal, and roll onto it. Roll right and off the other side. Get over the next slope to the level end.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Pinball Level. Flip the ball over to the right side, and then use the right flipper to throw it over to the top left flipper. Then use that to flip it at the slope on the right hand side. If you get it right it will roll up the slope to the next screen. Then use the flipper to flip it out to the exit. If you miss it should roll down and let you try again.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    8. Roll across the 3 still cogs to the right. Hop over the 2 gaps with the ramps provided. Use normal speed to avoid overshooting. Next roll up the cog and the slope. You'll need to use fast rolling to get high enough, but slow yourself near the top of the slope or you'll rebound off the ceiling.

    9. A: Brake.

    10. Roll to the right and up the slope. Make your way across the rotating shapes, making good use of the brake. The elongated piece above the 3 triangles is your best bet for getting on, then just make your way across until you find a convenient opurtunity to hop off. It doesn't matter which level you get off on. Then just roll right to the level exit.

    11. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    12. Hop the gap to the left, then use fast rolling to roll up the wall to the left and onto the raised platform. From there jump right, then left, then right again to reach the exit. Roll right through the tunnel, drop down and continue. To get across the pits, roll across one and then stop yourself before the next one. It's surprisingly easy to fall in, so take it slowly.

    13. A: Brake.

    14. Carefully traverse the rotating L shapes to the bottom right. Try to get to the rightmost one on the top layer before dropping down. Continue along, roll up the cogs and then back down the otherside.

    15. Pinball Level.

    16. First release on of the wheels on the left. You're trying to flick them up to the exit at the right. If you knock down any others then try and get those up as well. You need at least 3 to continue. When you've done so, release the ball and just wait for it to roll to the exit.

    17. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    18. Roll right, then use fast rolling to launch off the ramp, get caught by the cog and flung onto the raised platform. Then head back left. Hop onto the cog, and then release the wheel It should be pushed over to the right. Make sure you're left of the cog when it falls off. Then push it right, over the ramp and under the right of the suspended plank. Then move yourself out of the way and drop the plank. Use it to continue right.

    19. A: Brake.

    20. Release the blocks to drop the wheels. Order doesn't matter as long as at least 6 balls get to the pit at the bottom (Just mashing enter should do it). Then drop onto them and go right. Drop onto the swinging platform when it hits the ramp on the left, steady yourself with brake, and then drop off to the right. Continue up the ramp. Stop at the entrance to the next screen, and drop onto the platform when it's underneath the lip, then drop off to the right. If you fall down, you need to roll up the slope on the left to launch into the cog, with the right timing, and then drop onto the platform. Then exit right.

    21. A: Brake.

    22. Roll left to tilt the plank down, then quickly roll right and off to the exit. Next, roll straight across the plank to drop off to the right. Make sure you slow down slightly, or you'll hit the wall above the ledge and fall back. Continue on, and ride the cog round to the exit.

    23. A: Brake.

    24. Jump off the tilted block to the right, then straight off the middle block to the right one. Brake to hold yourself on and roll over it onto the platform. Next, wait for the block to be slanted and roll onto it and jump off and over then other spinning block onto the still one. Then continue rolling right. Carefully drop onto the lower left block, then hop across the gaps to the tilted block. Jump off that to the right.

    25. A: Brake.

    26. Roll right and bounce off the block to the right. Do the same with the next block and bounce down to the exit. Next roll up the S shaped curve, by holding right until you're in the air, then holding left until you land at the top. Get on the pendulum when it swings close to the left, and hold on with brake until it reaches the right side. Then get off and drop down. Roll up the ramps to the flat platform. Sit on the left of the lower swinging hemisphere to tilt it up. Then roll right, push the top one up and hop out to the right. If necessary go back left to further adjust the position of the bottom hemisphere.

  6. Ranna Caverns

    1. Very gentle to start off, go right a few screens.

    2. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    3. Roll up the slope and hit the small wall to launch into the air. In midair, hold left so that when you touch the ceiling you'll be deflected right. Continue up the slope to next screen. There, drop down, avoiding the pit. Then, do the same trick again to get up to the next ledge. You'll need to use fast rolling to get enough height to hit the ceiling. Then hop over the small gap to the next screen. Roll across the next gap and up the slope. Hit the wall fast enough and the slanted ceiling should knock you up to the right.

    4. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    5. Drop down onto the boulder. Hold brake and tap left when necessary to keep yourself on it. Once it's all the way to the right let yourself fall off and continue right. Next, use fast rolling to launch up and hit the ceiling to land to the left. Hop over the gap you just came up and onto the cart. Hold brake to stay on top of it as it rolls down the slope, then continue. Roll up the next slope and launch off. When you land to the left, hop over right and continue down and right.

    6. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    7. Wait until the gap with out the flap is near you, and then jump into it. Roll into near the middle and brake. When the other tunnel is nearly horizontal, roll into it. Roll down it, push through the flap and out to the ledge on the right. Next, roll up the curved wall to the right of the screen, as fast as possible, and as soon as you leave the surface hold left and S. You should rebound off the spinning boulder up to the right. This may take a few tries as you need to hit a flat edge on the boulder head on. Brake when you land to avoid falling back down. Next, hop onto the suspended platform. From there, roll onto the boulder, around the top of it to the exit at the right. If you fall to the floor simply use the curved left wall to get back up to the platform.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Roll down and drop onto the hammer. Let it swing right and then drop off to the right. Roll over to the right of the screen, and roll up the right wall to hit the suspended object and set it swinging. Quickly move over to the left, and then hit enter to drop the platform when the object swings underneath it. It should hook in and drop down to form a ramp. Roll up and jump off it to continue. Drop down the shaft and continue.

    10. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    11. Roll right, and roll up and around side of the raised floor to jump onto the suspended platform. Then jump off it to the right, onto the raised floor. Continue right, then drop down. Use the steep ramp to hop up to the suspended platform, then roll off it to the right.

    12. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    13. Roll onto the hanging platform, which will start moving. Quickly drop down through it and stop on the bottom. When it nears the end of the track, roll off onto the platform to the right. Continue on over the small gap to the exit.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Slowly roll onto the first suspended block, then drop onto the solid ground into the middle. Roll quickly right and up the next block to jump right to the next screen. Hold S and right to roll up the first part of the S, then when you're in the air start holding left to roll up the top half. Brake when you land, and then hop off to the right. Roll onto the swinging platform, and just roll across quickly to the exit.

    16. S: Reverse Gravity.

    17. You have no direct control on this level. Reverse gravity and hold it until you are in the upper tunnel. Let yourself drop and roll around to the right exit. Reverse gravity to get up the shaft and start rolling on the ceiling. Before you hit the wall, let yourself drop. Then keep turning it on and off to keep yourself in the air, but avoiding the outcropping until you're past the bottom tip. Then hold reverse gravity to continue rolling along the ceiling. Let yourself drop onto the floor, then keep flipping gravity to hover yourself across the gap to the exit.

    18. A: Brake.

    19. Drop onto the left of the first seesaw, and roll right and hop off it. Drop onto the next one and continue straight off to the right. Do the same again, quickly to hop straight to the next one. Roll on the right of that one to lower it and continue. Roll right to the exit.

    20. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    21. This level needs to be done quickly. Roll left to start the boulder rolling and drop down. Fast roll up the left wall and continue right. Hop across the small gaps and continue. Roll up the slope and jump to the upper of the 2 paths. Push the ball off the edge, drop to the left of it and go around left and then right. Roll fast at the ramped block to hit the ceiling and drop onto the raised ledge. Finally hop right to the exit.

    22. A: Brake

    23. Drop onto the first block when it is nearly flat, and then hop off it to the next one. Wait until that is at about a 45 degree angle, and then use it as a ramp to hop up to the right. Drop through the gap to lower platform. When the tunnel through the boulder is horizontal roll into it and go straight throught to launch out to the right. Drop down slightly and roll straight over the small gaps.

    24. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    25. Drop into the middle of the spinning boulder when the opportunity arises. Roll down to the bottom and onto the right wall/floor to keep it spinning clockwise. Then drop out onto the top of the next one. Quickly roll off it to the right. Wait for the 2 boulders to roll past, then roll right and up the wall to get up to the ledge. Wait for the next 2 to pass, then roll right and out to the exit. Roll into the boulder to start it spinning. As it spins roll into the perpendicular tunnel, and when that is raised enough, roll out to the right to the exit.

  7. The Void

    1. Roll right, then jump off the ramp at the end of the platform.

    2. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    3. Use the tip of the star as a ramp, and land on one of the smaller stars. Ride it round and hop off to the right. Hop on the star, between two points, ride it around and drop onto the next one. Quickly jump off that and onto the next one. Finally ride that around and hop off to the next screen. Roll across the stars and onto the spinning one. Hop of that to the right.

    4. A: Brake.

    5. Stop on the platform, just to the right of the star it's balancing on (but not so it starts to tip). Release the ball to get catapulted to the next screen. Roll up the slope and onto the spinning star. Drop down onto the platform below, then use the raised edge as a ramp to hop to the right. Continue, and hop the small gap to the exit.

    6. A: Brake.

    7. Wait for the spheres to slow down their spinning, and jump through to grab the key in the middle. Wait again, then when they slow again, jump out and go up the slope. The light beam describes the start of an invisible platform. Keep rolling to the right, you won't fall. When you get back to solid ground, wait for the star to be spinning anticlockwise. Then as it slows, hop over to it and roll across. Roll out to the right.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Roll up the small ramp to the left, then roll down it and jump off the ramp to the right to get up to the key. Then drop down and continue right. Use the ramp to hop the small gap, then drop down. Roll right, and up the wall to hit the ceiling and land on the raised ledge. Then go right, hopping across the small gaps. Drop down onto the ramp, and stop with brake. Jump off carefully (at normal speed) to the next ramp. Repeat until you reach the other side.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Roll across the stars and drop onto the platform on the right. Move quickly to avoiding falling off as they spin. Next, roll up the wall and brake when you land to get to the ledge halfway up the S shape. Then roll up the left wall to land on the top slope. Continue right, drop onto each star in turn, using brake to steady yourself. When you reach the bottom, hop across the gap and go up the slope. Continue and jump off the ramp onto the invisible floor. Exit right.

    12. A: Brake.

    13. Drop down, and roll down onto the platform under the balloon. Ride it to the right, then hop off into the passage. Getting off can be tricky; wait until the platform is stopped right next to the ledge. Next jump off the ramp onto the next hanging platform, and again jump off once it reaches the right. Carefully roll over the spike sticking over the floor. Then drop onto the next platform and ride it far to the right.

    14. Permanent Brake.

    15. You're in a flying vehicle. Holding right will cause you to go up and right, and left will cause you to go up and left. If you want to gain height without accelerating too much in one direction, alternate left and right in short bursts. From the start, go right, but don't climb to high and get stuck on the ceiling. Knock the ball off the pillar, and continue right. Go up, and knock the next ball off, then drop down to the right, and exit right.

    16. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    17. Roll right, and on the next screen hop the small gap and go over the ramp to the right. Drop the ball, then hop over it to go back left. Use fast rolling to jump off the ramp and land on the block above the balloon. Release it, and balance on top of the balloon. When you're high enough, hop off left and grab the key. Drop down, then hop onto the platform under the balloon, with enough speed to start it moving right. Then when it reaches the right, hop off onto the ledge second from the top (above the ledge with the ramp). Continue right past the now removed door. Roll straight across the gap, over the star and continue right. Roll fast enough right and hop the next gap and roll up the slope. Exit right.

    18. S: Fast Rolling.

    19. This level you're in a car with a balloon on top. Left goes right and vv. Drive right across the gap, then over the hill. Next wait for the spinning platform to be horizontal, drive onto it and straight off to the right.

    20. S: Fast Rolling.

    21. You're stuck in another flying jalopy. Right will push you up and right; left, up and left. You climb quickly in this one. Fly right, avoiding the block on the ceiling. Drop a couple of blocks with [enter] and wait for the wall to drop down. When it does, fly past to the right.

    22. Permanent Brake.

    23. Drop onto the spinning arm when it is horizontal underneath you, and roll off it onto the star. Drop off that onto solid ground and continue right. Again, drop onto the arm when it's horizontal towards you and roll up the slope. Drop onto the ball, slightly right of centre, and balance on it as it rolls right. Drop off onto the raised floor and exit right.

    24. A: Brake.

    25. Jump across the platform when the moving wall is out of the way. Next, jump across when the left of the two platforms is at its lowest. You should get through and land on the slope. Roll up it and continue right. When the spinning platform is at 45 degrees on the top left of the circle, hop onto it and brake. Ride it round and drop onto the next platform. Ride that round and drop onto the solid ground. Next, wait for the outer spinning platform to be almost vertical on the left. Jump off the ramp, and brake as you land. You should be able to hold on as it flattens off. Then jump off to the right and continue.

  8. Murky Depths

    1. A: Brake.

    2. Hop across the gap when the branch you start on sways upwards. Next hop off that ramp through the gap in the tree (indicated by the thinning in it's silhouette). Continue through another tree, drop onto the lower branch and continue. Roll up the ramp and drop off. Continue through the next 2 trees.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Roll left, up the slope and jump into the flying machine. Right flies right and left flies left. Fly back the way you came and over the small raised floor previously blocking progress. Fly over the gap and over the top off the cliff.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Hug the tree on your right, and then hit enter to drop the ball. Wait for the other one to roll over you and drop into the gap below your branch. Drop down onto it and wait until the other boulder drops into the pit. Then continue right, hop through the tree using the shallow ramp, and continue up the slope. Continue right, through the gaps in the trees. Don't go too fast or you'll hit the tree above the gap and fall off.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    8. Fire the cannon, drop the wheel when the cart is underneath, and release the left hammer when the cart is nearby. Destroy the lowest block too. The cart should drop down and let the wheel roll into the pit. Drop down onto it and go right. Use fast rolling to roll up the right wall. When you're in the air hold S and left to continue up around the ceiling and into the tunnel right.

    9. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    10. Roll onto the plank, and stop above the left block supporting it. Then drop the boulder to be catapulted towards the exit. Stand about halfway along the next plank and drop the boulder. Then when you land back on it, roll up it and hop off to the right. On the next one, stop between the two supports in the middle. The ball should catapult you to the exit.

    11. Roll to the left of the screen, then drop the leftmost plank. Roll up that and to the right. Drop the middle plank, roll up it and drop the final plank. Roll across that to the right. Drop onto the left of the plank, so it pivots, and then roll up it to the exit. Continue right, and roll over the gap.

    12. Permanent fast rolling.

    13. You're inside another flying machine. Controls are as you would expect (right-right, left-left). Fly right, and push the blocks off the pillar. Continue, and drop down a little to fly under the suspended block.

    14. A: Brake.

    15. You're in a car for this level. Controls are the reverse of what you expect (right-left, left-right). Go right and drop off the edge. Try and keep yourself upright; it may take a few tries. Drop down to the very bottom, and drive through the tunnel. Continue up the slopes. Brake can be very useful to avoid flipping on the slope. Knock down the plank, and drop down. Exit right over the plank.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Drop onto the left of first platform, wait for it to spin enough, then drop down to the next one. Stand on its right side, and drop down onto the branch. Go right, up the slope, and hop the gap. Go through the tree, and onto the rope bridge, above the arrow. Drop the boulder to get thrown up and get the key. Roll off the right of the platform you land on and over the boulder. Continue right. Roll at the spinning plank when it is just past horizontal. You should hit it, roll up it and be thrown to the left onto a branch. Requires good timing, so keep trying. Then go left through the tree and over the spike in the branch. Use that spike to jump right onto the upper branch. Go right, over the gap, to exit.

    18. You're suspended in cage under a wheel. Right and left move the wheel right and left along the branch. Go right over the slopes in the branch. Wait for the spinning platform to be horizontal, then roll onto it and off to the middle branch. Do the same again and continue right. Roll straight across the gap and continue right, behind the foliage in the foreground.

    19. Same situation as the previous level. Drop onto the first plank when the end near you is swinging down. Roll across it onto the next one, and off that when it is angled up. Wait for the next platform to be horizontal, then roll off the branch you're hanging off. You should slide along and hit the platform. Roll straight across it and onto the next branch. Continue right over the uneven branches.

    20. You're in a car with an oscillating crane like arm on the top. Left and right move you as normal. Go left, and stop about 3/4 of the way across the floor. When the arm on top of you is near the steepest angle it makes, fire the cannon. The ball should bounce off and fly into the tunnel at the top of the screen. You're trying to get it into the lower of the 2 tunnels. When you've managed that, go right again to see a plank has fallen to create a bridge. Continue right.

    21. You're back in the harness suspended from a wheel. Go right, down the slope. Wait for the lower hammer to go past the top of its swing, and the next time the upper hammer is out of the way, go right and hop the gap. Stop on the right of the plank to tip it down so you can continue. Then wait for the spinning plank to be horizontal. Roll onto it and straight across to hop off to the top branch. Continue right, over a simple jump to the end of the world.

  9. Giant Leaf

    1. You're in a strange jumping contraption for this level. A makes your legs jump, and left and right spin fans to push you left and right. Jump to the right, over the boulder and the gaps. Jump Up the cliff, pushing the boulder down the slope.

    2. A: Brake.

    3. Roll up the moving platforms when they're angled up to use them as ramps. Use the next one to jump across the gap. Then jump back left, up to the top ledge. Go up the wall and around to get to the top moving platform. Jump off that to the right to reach the exit. Next roll along and jump up to hit the moving platform. It should push you left, so you land on the ledge. Then jump off that, over the moving platform to the exit.

    4. You do not have control of the ball; instead you control the movement of the platforms in this level. Right rotates clockwise, and left, anticlockwise. Tilt right to move the ball right. Tilt each platform as it lands on them to keep it moving, until you drop down and out to the right. When the ball comes to a stop, release the boulder to throw it up and continue. Adjust the top moving platform to roll the ball back left, then the bottom one to pick up the ball and flip it out to the right.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Roll right, and jump onto the left side of the seesaw. Roll up it as it pivots, and onto the next plank. Jump up onto the hanging plank. As it pivots up, roll up the plank to hop onto the fixed platform. Then roll right into the platform.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    8. Roll down the slope, and use the small hump in the floor to jump through the pillar. Roll up the left wall fast, so you hit the side of the pillar. It should fall over. You can then roll up the left wall again to get onto it. Roll up it, onto the platform. From their, roll right off the side, just quick enough to drop down to the raised floor, and continue right. Hop onto one of the platforms when it passes close, and stay on it by braking and moving around corners as it spins. When you reach the right side, drop off and continue.

    9. Another jumping contraption. Left and right move left and right, and A causes the arms to pound down and launch you into the air. Go right, jumping up the slopes. Hop across the gap by getting a run up and jumping at the last second. Drive down the slope and jump at the last second to get over the gap and up the cliff.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Get on the swinging block when it is approaching the left side, then roll off when it's back right. Use the lip on the edge of the cliff to hop onto the block when it's at its lowest point. Then hop off it to the right. Jump over the small gap and continue. Get on the block when it hits the ledge you're on, and ride it to the right. Hop off and exit right.

    12. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    13. Roll up the right wall, and in the air hold left so you roll up the left wall when you hit it. Brake when you land, and continue right. Roll onto the boulder, just right of centre, and then brake and stay on it. When you reach the right side, roll off and continue. Ride the cart to the exit.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Go across the gap and push the large ball right. Immediatly position yourself under the centre right of the next boulder, so it rolls left. Repeat twice, making sure that 2 balls go into each pit. Then roll up the left wall and push the small ball down. Continue pushing it right to the next screen. Push it under the right of the suspended girder, then drop the girder. This will make a ramp you can use to get into the tunnel. Hop across the gap and push the boulder right. You need to control the boulders again, so that 2 go into the gap on the right and 2 fall off the stage to the left. When that's done, continue right to the exit.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Make your way carefully across the moving platforms. Next, hop onto the swinging platform, and wait for it to swing right. Then jump off to the right.

    18. You're in a cage suspended under a wheel. Right rolls right and left rolls it left. Roll right, and hop across the gap. Continue, and hop across several more gaps. Then drop off the platform, and roll along the ground.

    19. A: Brake, S: Fast rolling.

    20. Get on the platform, and wait for it to reach the end. Hop off and continue right.

    21. A: Brake.

    22. Jump off the ramp to first platform, wait for it to swing right, then roll to the next one. Repeat to reach the ledge on the right. Roll onto the next platform and knock the ball off. Then roll from that to the next one, and finally to the next solid ledge. Next, there are another pair of platforms with balls on. Continue across them, and hop over to the right to reach the end of this world.

  10. Aurora's North

    1. Roll right, and drop down to the left of the gap. The light coloured surface is icy and slippery. You won't have as much traction on such surfaces. Get a good run up and hop the gap. Next, drop down and use the ramp to jump over to the right.

    2. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    3. Roll to the right and drop down, then jump to the right. Drop down and jump to the bottom left. Finally roll up the left wall to reach the right exit. Roll up the slope to the right, and before you hit the ceiling, hit left. Then drop into the loop and roll up the left wall to reach the top right. Carefully roll down the slope, and drop onto the platform below. Roll left and drop down to the bottom, then head right and hop the gap.

    4. Roll right to start the ball rolling. Then roll right up the icy slope. Make sure you get a good run up so you make it to the top. Drop into the half pipe, roll up the left side, then down and up the right to get out. Then head right and over the slope sticking out to drop down. Roll to the left, and then roll right straight at the large ball to bounce off it to the exit.

    5. The ball is on a sledge, and you have no direct control. Release the sledge when the spinning platform is at about 45 degrees, pointed up and right. When it comes to a stop, wait for the next platform to be a little before horizontal. Then release the hammer to start the sledge moving again. When it stops again, release the block directly in front of it. Then release the hammer. Release the block holding the platform when the sledge is just over the pivot.

    6. A: Brake.

    7. Very icy level. Roll up left, and then right to get out of the starting bowl, and carefully roll down the slope to the ledge below. Roll up the left to get a run up, then roll right and across the gap. Next, roll down onto the moving platform when it's nearly horizontal, and hop off to the right. Jump up using the ramp, and roll up the right wall. Then grab the key and head back left. Roll down onto the spinning platform again, and head right again. Go through the tunnel where the door was this time, to reach the exit.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Drop down, and go to the left. Drop the block and give it a push right. Roll up the left wall to get back up, and head right to the next screen. When the block slides past, drop onto it, and then back up on the right. Wait for the block again, and drop onto it. Watch out as it will get a lot faster when it goes down the slope. Then get off to the right.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Drop down left and give the block a push. Then get back up by rolling up the left wall. Drop onto the block and use it to get on the slope to the right. Drop onto it again and get off at the triangular slope. Get on and off again and then head to the right. Drop onto it one final time, ride it down the slope, and get off at the bottom right before it falls into the pit.

    12. The ball is on a sledge, and you control platforms with the arrow keys. Tilt the platform so it's slightly above horizontal on the right, and release the sledge. Spin the platforms so the left one is flat. Then release the boulder and spin each platform in turn to keep it moving right. When it falls down and flips the bridge, release the sledge again.

    13. You're in a cage with a balloon on top. Controls are normal, and you will float a lot when you're in the air. Also, you can change trajectory in the air, because of the fan. Move right and jump off. Land on the middle ramp, and jump again to the right. Jump on the spinning platform as it moves past horizontal to get flung in the air, and land on the ledge. Then drop down and go through the tunnel on the right.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Roll to the right, then fast roll up the left wall to get around to the right. Brake and hold left on landing to avoid falling into a pit. Jump across using the ramps. Roll at the icy ramp with medium speed to land on the ramp underneath. Then jump into the tunnel on the right.

    16. You control the cart in this level. A makes the platform on top flip. Drop the boulder onto the cart, and then flip it into the gap on the right. Then drop the ball and carry it right 2 screens. Then flip it to the exit, right.

    17. Pinball Level.

    18. Release the wheel on the left. Wheels will now roll down to the flippers. Use them to flip as many as possible out to the right. When they're all done, release the ball. It will roll to the right. Release the block on this screen, and if you got enough wheel the ball will roll to the exit.

    19. You're in the balloon ball carrier again. Go right, and onto the spinning blades. Continue right. On the next screen, use the spinning blade to push you up and over the wall. Use the next one to push you right. Drop onto the platforms, and drop through, then land on the right. Roll up the slope and out to the right.

    20. A: Brake.

    21. Roll across the gap in the buildings, and then onto the antenna. Hop off to the right, onto the next screen and drop down. Go into the open window.

  11. Hidden Stars

    1. Harara Mountains - 3: Go through to the third screen, and get up to the left side of the top tunnel. Roll up the slope on the left and into the wall.

    2. Harara Mountains - 5: Go to the second screen, and roll up to the top of the ramp, then fast roll left to hit the ramp on the first screen. You should jump left into a hidden tunnel in the left wall. Brake on landing, then roll up the slope into the wall.

    3. Skymning - 4: Get to the third screen, then very carefully drop onto the raised floor on the left. Drop through a hole in the floor there.

    4. Skymning - 7: From the right side of the first screen, fast roll up the slope to the next screen and hit the ramp fast. You should jump up onto the plank. Roll to the right, and into the little ledge in the ceiling.

    5. Old Ruins - 1: Get to the second screen. Drop down past the platform, and roll off the ledge to the left. You'll land on the small ledge on the bottom right of the first screen, roll into the flat part of the wall.

    6. Perpetuum Factory - 9: Go straight right to the third screen. Go under the suspended plank. Then fast roll left, off the ramp and up the wall. When you're in the air for a second before hitting the right wall, hold right. You should roll up the wall and land just on the top edge of the left platform. Brake and left to get on it. Then roll off the left into the wall on the left screen.

    7. Perpetuum Factory - 11: Get to the second screen. You need to tilt the seesawing platform very low on the left, so you can roll across it and get onto the top right platform. Then head right, roll over the gap and into the wall.

    8. Ranna Caverns - 10: On the first screen, get on the second seesaw. Make it tilt far down to the right, then jump off the left onto the ledge. The secret exit is in the wall there.

    9. Murky Depths - 3: Get to the third screen, drop onto the first branch, but then go left through the trees. The exit is in the middle tree on the left screen, on the bottom branch next to the bird.

    10. Giant Leaf - 4: Get to the right side of the second screen. Push the plank left to make it drop down, allowing you into the pit. The exit is in the bottom right.

    11. Giant Leaf - 12: Ride the platform to the third screen, then wait for it to swing up to the right. Hop off it to the upper ledge. The exit is to the right.

    12. Aurora's North - 3: Get to the last screen ahead of the small ball, but then push the big one into the pit and stop the small ball. Push it slowly left one screen, and into the small dip in the floor. The roll at it and use it to hop up to the small ledge, and roll into the exit.

  12. Slightly Nonsense

    1. Needs 6 stars to pass. S: Fast Rolling.

    2. Roll up the left wall to get out of the start area. The drop into the red floor. Roll up the left wall to land on the platform above. Then drop right and roll up the slope. Fast roll off the next ramp to reach a key and door. Grab it to go through.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Head right across the ASCII plains. Make your way across some ramp to the right exit, then drop down. Jump off the ramp going right, and fire the cannon in mid air to hit yourself. Push the cannon ball that drop to the right, and then get another. Push that to the right and roll at it to get up on the ledge.

    5. Hold A to pull back the level, and release to hit the ball. Charge it to exactly on the mark at 8 to continue.

    6. S: Reverse Gravity.

    7. You have no direct control of the ball. Reverse gravity to start rolling left, then drop onto the ramp below. Flip gravity repeatedly to hover under the spinning blade, and then go up the shaft to the right. On the next screen, go under the first and over the second. Next, use gravity to fly under the irregular ceiling. Try not to touch it where the slope will push you back.

    8. A: Brake.

    9. The white blocks will bounce you up, but you still can't change direction in mid air. Go right, bouncing off the blocks to get over the pillar in the middle. If you take the lower exit you will need to bounce back and forth across the block to get around to the top, then continue right. Next drop onto the middle ledge, then onto the bouncing platform to the right. Exit right.

    10. Another catapult level. This time charge it to about 6, not the line, to complete.

    11. Needs 12 stars to pass. A: Brake.

    12. Roll across, and up the spinning platform to the right. Use the next spinning platform to get to the lower alcove and grab the key. Then ride it back up to get past where the door was. Exit right. Stop on the left edge of the right spinning platform to angle it up, then jump off it to the right.

    13. You have no direct control in this level. Release the cart at the top, and spin the shape in the centre to make one roll into each gap at the bottom. Then release the ball to continue.

    14. A: Brake.

    15. Drop down and roll over to the right. Roll up the right wall to get up to the top right platform, then jump right to continue. Drop onto the bounce pad and bounce right. Roll over the gap, and then jump right into space.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Drop onto the first platform, wait for it to tilt up and then get on the second one. Hop from that to the right. Drop onto another platform, wait for it angle up quite high, then jump off over the wall. Roll right.

    18. A: Brake.

    19. Drop the bottom platform, then the upper platform. Drop onto them and roll over them to the right. Next, roll off the left entrance onto the first spinner when one of its blades is low enough. Jump off it to the next one, and from there to the top right. Exit right.

    20. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    21. Get on the big ball, and ride it right until you hit the second ball. Move onto that, and ride it right to the next screen. Move onto the third ball when you reach it, and ride that to the right. Roll right to the exit.

    22. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    23. Note that the glowing circles will stop you. Drop down and ride the spinning balls to the next screen. There, drop down onto the middle platform. From there hop right, across the tops of the 2 spinners to the right ledge. Continue right, and get over the spike by rolling over it gently, to avoid hitting the circle. As beautiful as it is, I've never been a fan of physics-based games.

I loved WADP, Knytt, Knytt stories and his new game - "The Great Work", but this is one Nifflas game I'll have to pass on.

Seems like a departure for Nifflas, no exploration or continuity from screen to screen and the gameplay of your basic flash physics puzzler with a nice coat of paint.

I didn't like the way it arbitrarily gave and removed powers with no indication.

This game might lack the "big world exploration" part that many of his games had, but I still love it for its gameplay and atmosphere. By the way, Nifflas hasn't moved away from creating exploration games. His next games, Knyttwadf (working title?) and The Great Work are much like his older games.

Now 2 things (if you're too off-topic, sorry in advance).

1. I love how Nifflas communicates and helps get ideas before he has released the game. It's so helpful that he's taking our thoughts into consideration and that he might actually use them. It's better than those people who make a half-decent game and dont improve on anything because they dont want to listen.

2. Jay is Games is an amazing place. It's great to be able to chat about casual games (basically non-platform games like call of duty and stuff), without feeling weird. In my life, my friends arent really into all this stuff, so its nice to have a place where you can relate to people about these fun little games.

Hey Solatoral, give the demo a try before you count the game out. While it IS technically physics based, in that all the objects react realistically, it also isn't...say...Crayon Physics Deluxe.

The game has a lot of variety. There are vehicle stages where you drive funny little cars around. There are platforming style traversal levels where your goal is navigating the terrain. There are even some stages that act a little like pinball, with flippers to send you flying.

Don't get me wrong, physics...as the pinball mention suggests...are important, but the fact that you almost always have control of your character makes it different from a lot of physics based games where you're just a giant hand pushing a ball down a ramp that you built to get it to a star.

Think of the way Nifflas used physics in Within a Deep Forest. When you think about it physics were a key element of that game as well, although that game didn't give physics properties to the objects in the world. Still, you had to consider issues like trajectory, speed, and momentum in order to control that crazy bouncing ball. And even more you had to consider the material of the ball and how that would affect your bounce.

I say all this just because I think the phrase "physics based", while accurate...can also be misleading due to connotations.

You're absolutley right, and I'm sorry for being so arrogant at first. I actually hadnt tried it before I posted that.

I downloaded the trial/demo the other day and tried it. The way that it IS somewhat physics, yet you can basically control your character is great.

I still wont buy it because even though it is a great game, it still lacks the adventure and fantasy that WADF and Knytt/KnyttS's had.

Fair enough...I agree that the game is a bit of a departure. We all enjoy the genres that we enjoy and if you didn't find the demo to your taste that is of course your prerogative.

I think, for me, the reason that I still enjoy it is that even though you're not exploring in a traditional sense you are still traveling through a wonderful Nifflas created world.

It may be less rewarding than the way you discovered scenes in, say, the original Knytt. But I just love the worlds and scenery that Nifflas puts together. This game has some of the most striking scenes from ANY Nifflas created game in my opinion.

From caverns, to ruins, to factories, all the classic Nifflas locations are accounted for, but the style of this game shows someone who is truly becoming a master of their craft.

And there are secrets to discover in certain levels...for those who have an itch to discover something off the beaten path.

Heh! I don't think I love this game as much as Knytt. BUT it is among my favorite games all the same.

Since we cover so many games here at JIG, it's a rarity for me to get absorbed enough to actually complete a game anymore.

NightSky is perfectly suited to this induced ADD I've developed, offering up the best of what we love most from physics-based games and platformers in small, bite-sized adventures that are each as scrumptious as the next.

The physics precision is positively palpable, rewarding the player with realistic feedback and natural, intuitive control.

Although it could be perceived as disappointing to someone expecting another Nifflas game of exploration, to someone without that expectation, there is certainly nothing to be disappointed about.

The game is an absolute joy to come back to when I have a free moment to do so. I have just 1.5 areas left to complete.

I'm stuck at the part where you have a tall board, four blocks to drop, and three wheels. I pulled it off by accident once, dropping the board in just the right place, but I can't seem to repeat it... what's the order you remove the blocks in?

BCS: the order is "top" and "left". Leave the other two blocks intact and everything will fall in place (in other words: hit Enter twice, that's it).

Night Sky Walkthrough

General Tips:

  • At the start of each level press the 2 power buttons (A and S), and experiment to see what they do.

  • The left and right arrow keys cause you to rotate anticlockwise and clockwise respectively. If you are on the ceiling or touching a wall, you will be moved as such, not just left or right. This is important for advanced jumping, especially later in the game and in alternative mode.

  • Pressing enter will activate any red objects highlighted with a target. Pressing up and down scrolls through such objects on the screen.

  • Get to the level select screen by pressing escape when in a world, or by selecting a world you've already completed

  • You can get stars for finding hidden exits in certain levels. Look for the outline of a star on the level select screen.

Common Powers

  • Brake (Red): Very common power. Slows the ball if it is moving. Also allows you to move slowly and precisely if you hold it while moving. Sometimes can help you up steep slopes.

  • Fast Rolling (Blue): Makes the ball roll much faster. Can be used to get more height from jumps, or change your velocity more from a brief contact with floor ceiling. Can make control harder, and sometimes you will just spin on the spot on steep slopes.

  • Reverse Gravity (Purple): As long as you hold it, gravity will go up instead of down. You can change it whenever you want by releasing/holding the key, even in midair, etc. Note that when you are on the ceiling holding right will move you left and holding left will move you right.

Normal Mode

  1. The Beach

    • Simply roll to the right for several screens.

  2. Harara Mountains

    1. Roll to the right for 2 screens. On the next screen use the small ramp to hop up to the platform and keep up speed to get up to the edge of the screen. Roll right across the last screen.

    2. Drop down, then use the ramp to hop the small gap and continue. On the next screen, use the ramps to jump from left to right up to the top of the screen. The snake at the top left is harmless. On the next screen roll down the ramp and use your momentum to launch off the ramp and out the right of the screen.

    3. A: Brake, S: Fast rolling.

    4. From the start, hold S and left to loop the loop and drop out to the exit. Roll over the small ramp, then hold S and right to launch off the ramp and on to the middle platform. Holding S and left again will launch you to top platform, but let go and hold A to brake before you land. Then simply hop right to exit this screen. On this screen, drop down and hold S and right to land on the left part of the top tunnel. Hop over to the right to finish the level.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Roll into the block quickly several times to knock it into the pit. Then roll over it out of the screen. Next roll up to the flat section in the middle. Jump over to the left and keep holding left to land on the top platform. Quickly brake to hold yourself there. Touch the yellow circle to unlock the door, then knock the large boulder right into the pit. Drop onto it and exit right. Keep going right to finish the level.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast rolling.

    8. Roll right to the next screen. Stop between the right and middle reeds to the left of the ramp, then use S and right to launch off the ramp into the tunnel. On the next screen drop down and head right.

    9. A: Brake.

    10. Hop across the platforms heading right. Use brake if you need to regain control. On the next screen, drop down onto the flat area. Hit Enter to drop the boulder, then roll right over the boulder and across gaps to the exit. On the next screen again, stop on the flat area and hit enter. The boulder will roll down and knock the bridge down. Roll over the bridge, and out to the right.

    11. Pinball Level.

    12. Instead of controlling the ball you control the environment. On the first screen left and right control the 2 flippers. Hit enter to release the ball, then use the flippers to hit the ball out to the right. Hitting it with the middle of the left flipper as it first rolls down should do it. On the next screen use the one flipper (controlled with left) to hit it across the gap. Then wait for the ball to roll and finish the level.

    13. A: Brake.

    14. Drop down and head left. Use the ramp to hop over the circle, then push it to the right. Push it onto the start screen and into the pit directly under where you started. Drop down onto it and roll out to the right. On the next screen use the ramp to jump onto the circles and roll over them to the right to finish the level.

    15. A: Brake.

    16. On this level you have no control over the ball except to slow it down. Hit enter to release it and start the level. When it has rolled to near the edge of the platform, hit the brake to slow it so it drops and continues rolling left. When it reaches the big slope, start braking about half way down. Let it roll to the right for 2 screens, then stop it when it drops on the cart. When the cart hits the right edge it will start the ball rolling to the right to the end of the level.

    17. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    18. Drop down, then use the small ramp to hop over the gap. Roll right, then reverse gravity to fall up the shaft. On the ceiling, the controls will seem reversed. (Right makes you move left and vv.) Roll right and drop down, then head out to the right. Drop down the cliff and continue right. On the next screen, use the brake to position yourself on the small raised flat part of the ground, then reverse gravity to fall up to the top tunnel. Roll out to the right to finish the level.

    19. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    20. Roll off to the right, and reverse gravity in midair to land on the ceiling. Head right to the next screen, where you should land on the small platform. Position yourself on the right edge of the platform. Reverse gravity so the chain bunches up in the space in the ceiling. You may need to release and hold S a few times. Then roll across the chain and out to the right. On the next screen drop down onto the bowl shaped area. Press enter once only, then go right. Drop down onto the second red platform and exit right.

    21. A: Brake.

    22. Drop onto the cart, and hold brake to stay on. Ride it for 2 screens, then when it stops hop off and head right.

    23. Brake is permanently on this level. Drop right onto the small platform. Wait for the spinning platform to become almost horizontal, then roll onto it and right as fast as you can to drop onto the next platform. Then just roll right over the small gaps and up the slope. On the next screen, roll up to the lip of the platform above the spinning triangle. When a corner passes close to you, drop onto it and hold right to drop off to solid ground. Keep going right to finish the level and the world!

  3. Skymning

    1. A: Brake.

    2. Drop down, then roll across to the right. Use the ramp to hop the gap, then continue right.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Drop down and continue right. Roll into the bridge to knock it over and continue. Then roll into the boulder to push it into the pit. Continue on to finish the level.

    5. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    6. Drop down, and fast roll around the loop to get to the exit. Smack into the crate as fast as you can, and you should be able to push past. If not, move back letting it swing back towards you and try again. Next, leap off the ramp using fast rolling to hit the hanging boulder into the other boulder. It should drop off the ledge, plugging the gap so you can continue.

    7. Head across the upper platform, and drop onto the seesaw. Stop yourself on the right side, then drop the boulder to catapult yourself out. Next just charge into the pile of boxes, and persistence should get you over them.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Drop down and continue on. Leap the gaps at normal speed, and use brake when you land to stop yourself going too far. Continue right.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Head right. Don't bother with the cannon on this screen. Instead just hop onto the hanging platform, and straight off to the right. Next drop into the depression in the floor, then fire the cannon a few times to set the boulder rolling. Once it passes over you, exit right.

    12. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    13. Roll across each of the hanging platforms, being careful not to hit the chains too hard. Next position yourself under the left side of the log, and drop it onto you. Roll right to push it and bridge the gap. Continue on, then drop into the ramp. Build up speed on the way down and jump out. You need to hit the sloped ceiling above to get deflected out.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Roll fast to the left to get up, and then knock the boxes down. Rolling left when on top of them. will spray them out to the right. Get down, the drop into the pit. Push a box over to the right edge of the pit, then use it to hop out. Head up the slope and onto the cart. Brake to stay in place until it stops. Get off and head out to the right.

    16. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    17. Drop onto the cart and stop yourself. It should roll up the ramp on the left, then back down to the right. Once you near the right edge, use the lip on the cart to hop out to the right. Next get onto the platform in the middle. Fire the cannon once or twice to start the cart moving, then drop on top of it. When it reaches the right of the screen hop off and continue. The creature on the next screen is harmless.

    18. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    19. Stop on the flat ground, then reverse gravity. Roll right across the ceiling, use the upside down ramp on the ceiling to hop onto the box and out through the tunnel. Head through the next screen, using reversed gravity to get up and down the snaking tunnels. Next, use reverse gravity to start the hammer swinging. When it swings right drop down into the hole. Then when it swings left, reverse gravity again to get yourself out. Then continue right.

    20. A: Brake.

    21. You're stuck inside a car contraption for this level. Left will move you right and right will move you left. Use brake to slow down and keep under control. If you do start flipping over you may be able to roll with it and come back upright. Head right over the hills, using brake to keep under control on the way down. If you can't get up to the top move back and take a longer run up. When you reach the hanging log, make sure you take a good run up, jump onto it and keep going right as quick as possible and jump off.

    22. A: Brake, S: reverse gravity.

    23. Again, you're stuck in a car. Head right and reverse gravity as you go up the wall to drop onto the ceiling. Move out to the right, and jump off the ramp on the ceiling and let gravity return to normal to get onto the floor. Then drive up the right wall and flip gravity again to get onto the ceiling near the exit. Head right, then let yourself drop down the ramp, all the way to the floor. You can use left and right to affect your trajectory and try to land upright. Then just drive out to the exit.

    24. S: Fast rolling. Drop down the shaft, and spin to push the crate out of the way. Then head right, navigating over any stray crate. Drop onto the plank, and roll left. This will push it right allowing you to drop past it. Head up the slope to the exit. Go up to the small rock, and roll over it to push it down the slope. Then get on the platform. The combined weight will lower it, allowing you to continue.

  4. Old Ruins

    1. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    2. Drop onto the square when a corner is angled towards you, then roll up and use it as a ramp to hop up to the exit. Use normal speed, not fast rolling. Hop onto the platform and use brake to hold yourself on until it swings across. Drop down onto the platform, and then roll across the gaps. Keep going and you should make it across.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Roll up and onto the platform. Use brake to hold yourself in place as it swings along. Once it stops, get off and continue. Roll up the ramp and keep holding right to get deflected onto the next ramp. Get to the flat part at the top of that, and then hop over to the right. Roll across the 3 hanging platforms to the exit.

    5. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    6. Get onto the hanging platform, then release the wheel. Once you reach the bottom get off and jump over to the right and up the slope. Get down onto the bottom flat are, being careful not to fly off the edge. Hold S and left to get up to the upper platform, and quickly brake when you land on the slope. Get on the hanging platform, wait until you get back down parallel to the lower flat area and get off to the right. The platform chain and weight should fall off the screen. Repeat the previous method to get back up, then hop over to the right. Continue right to the level end.

    7. A: Brake.

    8. Fire the cannon to start the cart rolling. Brake to stay on it, until you near the raised ledge. Use the lip of the cart to jump up to it, and cross to the next screen carefully. Wait for the cart to stop, then push the wheel down onto it, and up the slope to the right. Push it all the way to the right, then roll over it to get up to the exit.

    9. A: Brake.

    10. Release the wheels in the order: Middle, Right, Left. Allow each to stop before releasing the next. Go right, drop down and head back left. Drop down, roll over the wheel to get out to the right. On this screen, target the hammer, then press enter 3 times quickly. The wheel should be pushed down next to the right exit. Use it to get up and out. Continue right to the exit.

    11. Permanent brake.

    12. Roll right, and press enter to drop blocks when the platform starts sinking. Try and start it swaying the opposite way, before you move forward a bit, then correct it again. When you reach the right side hop off and continue. Drop onto the first windmill when it's nearly horizontal, and then roll straight to the next one. Wait for this one to rotate and then drop onto solid ground on the right. Continue right to exit.

    13. A: Brake.

    14. Go right, then roll down the ramp and jump off quickly to jump clean over the windmill. Next, when the gap in the blades is horizontal, roll up the slope on the right and into the windmill. Go straight through and get out onto the right raised ledge when the blade is high enough. Then drop onto the closed part of the windmill, wait for it to rotate and then jump off the blade to the right exit.

    15. Roll at the spinning blade and try to get under it. If you get caught, just keep pushing and you should be able to get through. Do the same with the 3 bladed obstacle on the next screen. Then roll up the right ramp, and get caught by the rapidly spinning blade. You'll get thrown left. Roll left as you land to get up and caught by the next blade, which will throw you to the exit. Drop into the next blade and ride it round to drop out at the bottom left. Drop onto the next windmill, wait and then jump off the blade to the right. Roll right and use the next blade to throw you up and left. Hold left to go up and loop back to the right exit.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Drop onto the first hanging platform, and continue quickly across and up the third to the slope on the right of the screen. Next, wait until the half blade passes close to you, then hop onto it and into the middle of the windmill. When the whole blade is horizontal, roll across it and drop onto the next windmill. When that has rotated enough, roll off it to the right. Continue right to exit.

    18. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    19. In this level you're in a 3 wheeled contraption. You don't need to worry about flipping over as you will always land with 2 wheels down. From the start, head right. Drop onto the windmill when a blade is just past horizontal towards the left, and ride it around and off to the right. Next you need to use the ramp to hop the gap. Make sure you start from the flat and build up enough speed. If you're too aggressive though, you'll flip over which is counter productive.

    20. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    21. Drop onto the first square, and use it as a ramp to get onto the middle square. Roll up that one and onto the right edge of the right square (Brake helps a lot when maneuvering on these slanted surfaces). From there, fast roll left up the 2 squares and launch off. Continue holding S and left. You should hit the curved wall and roll around it to the top right. Next, drop onto the left square. Roll off that to the next one. From there use it as a ramp to jump over to the next one. Use brake when you land to avoid sliding off. Get up onto the flatter surface, then use that as a ramp to hop left onto the ledge. Finally from there use the small ramp to hop up and out to the right. On the next screen, carefully roll down the squares and onto the rightmost one. Use that as a ramp to hop out to the right.

    22. A: Brake, S: Reverse Gravity.

    23. First, you need to get out of the rotating trap. There's only one way out, and you need to roll and use reverse gravity to progress out. From the start, drop out of the very middle, roll left and reverse gravity to get up the shaft, and wait until it become horizontal. Then roll right and drop down and finally out. Once out, get up onto the ceiling. Go to the right edge, and then let yourself drop onto the lip of the tunnel, and then continue right. On the next screen you need to get into the middle and touch the gold ring, then get out. The best way is to get up to the middle of the ceiling, wait for the large gap to be directly under you and drop in. Quickly roll right, drop down and roll left to touch the ring. Then getting out should be quite simple. To actually get to the exit, you'll need to jump using reverse gravity. Start rolling right, then reverse gravity to lift yourself, and release again if you go too high. Do this to reach the tunnel on the right. Go through, and drop down. Position yourself under the square, then reverse gravity. Let yourself roll to one of the corners of the gap, then let everything fall. Then roll on top of the square, under the gap in the ceiling, and reverse gravity again. You should fly out the top. Then, exit right.

    24. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    25. Break the blocks in the order left, top, bottom. Then roll down onto the newly created ramp, and over to the right. Hop off the slope on the right and continue. Hold S and right, to launch off the ramp and around and up. Brake when you land. Next, from the right side of the ledge, hold S and left to launch up to the top middle. Drop down to the right. Hold S and left to launch yourself up and around to the right and exit.

  5. Perpetuum Factory

    1. Pinball Level.

    2. First release the wheel to the left, flick it up using the flippers. Repeat until several of the blocks have fallen to the right. Then release the ball. On the next screen, use the flipper to flick the ball across the gap. Finally wait for the ball to reach the end.

    3. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    4. Drop onto the cog, ride it around, and then roll off onto the slope to the right. Roll up that and over the gap to the next screen. Roll down the side of the depression and up the right quickly to launch yourself straight out over to the exit. Next, roll over the steep slope, and come to a stop next to the edge. Wait until the flat side of the cog is almost horizontal, and roll onto it. Roll right and off the other side. Get over the next slope to the level end.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Pinball Level. Flip the ball over to the right side, and then use the right flipper to throw it over to the top left flipper. Then use that to flip it at the slope on the right hand side. If you get it right it will roll up the slope to the next screen. Then use the flipper to flip it out to the exit. If you miss it should roll down and let you try again.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    8. Roll across the 3 still cogs to the right. Hop over the 2 gaps with the ramps provided. Use normal speed to avoid overshooting. Next roll up the cog and the slope. You'll need to use fast rolling to get high enough, but slow yourself near the top of the slope or you'll rebound off the ceiling.

    9. A: Brake.

    10. Roll to the right and up the slope. Make your way across the rotating shapes, making good use of the brake. The elongated piece above the 3 triangles is your best bet for getting on, then just make your way across until you find a convenient opurtunity to hop off. It doesn't matter which level you get off on. Then just roll right to the level exit.

    11. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    12. Hop the gap to the left, then use fast rolling to roll up the wall to the left and onto the raised platform. From there jump right, then left, then right again to reach the exit. Roll right through the tunnel, drop down and continue. To get across the pits, roll across one and then stop yourself before the next one. It's surprisingly easy to fall in, so take it slowly.

    13. A: Brake.

    14. Carefully traverse the rotating L shapes to the bottom right. Try to get to the rightmost one on the top layer before dropping down. Continue along, roll up the cogs and then back down the otherside.

    15. Pinball Level.

    16. First release on of the wheels on the left. You're trying to flick them up to the exit at the right. If you knock down any others then try and get those up as well. You need at least 3 to continue. When you've done so, release the ball and just wait for it to roll to the exit.

    17. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    18. Roll right, then use fast rolling to launch off the ramp, get caught by the cog and flung onto the raised platform. Then head back left. Hop onto the cog, and then release the wheel It should be pushed over to the right. Make sure you're left of the cog when it falls off. Then push it right, over the ramp and under the right of the suspended plank. Then move yourself out of the way and drop the plank. Use it to continue right.

    19. A: Brake.

    20. Release the blocks to drop the wheels. Order doesn't matter as long as at least 6 balls get to the pit at the bottom (Just mashing enter should do it). Then drop onto them and go right. Drop onto the swinging platform when it hits the ramp on the left, steady yourself with brake, and then drop off to the right. Continue up the ramp. Stop at the entrance to the next screen, and drop onto the platform when it's underneath the lip, then drop off to the right. If you fall down, you need to roll up the slope on the left to launch into the cog, with the right timing, and then drop onto the platform. Then exit right.

    21. A: Brake.

    22. Roll left to tilt the plank down, then quickly roll right and off to the exit. Next, roll straight across the plank to drop off to the right. Make sure you slow down slightly, or you'll hit the wall above the ledge and fall back. Continue on, and ride the cog round to the exit.

    23. A: Brake.

    24. Jump off the tilted block to the right, then straight off the middle block to the right one. Brake to hold yourself on and roll over it onto the platform. Next, wait for the block to be slanted and roll onto it and jump off and over then other spinning block onto the still one. Then continue rolling right. Carefully drop onto the lower left block, then hop across the gaps to the tilted block. Jump off that to the right.

    25. A: Brake.

    26. Roll right and bounce off the block to the right. Do the same with the next block and bounce down to the exit. Next roll up the S shaped curve, by holding right until you're in the air, then holding left until you land at the top. Get on the pendulum when it swings close to the left, and hold on with brake until it reaches the right side. Then get off and drop down. Roll up the ramps to the flat platform. Sit on the left of the lower swinging hemisphere to tilt it up. Then roll right, push the top one up and hop out to the right. If necessary go back left to further adjust the position of the bottom hemisphere.

  6. Ranna Caverns

    1. Very gentle to start off, go right a few screens.

    2. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    3. Roll up the slope and hit the small wall to launch into the air. In midair, hold left so that when you touch the ceiling you'll be deflected right. Continue up the slope to next screen. There, drop down, avoiding the pit. Then, do the same trick again to get up to the next ledge. You'll need to use fast rolling to get enough height to hit the ceiling. Then hop over the small gap to the next screen. Roll across the next gap and up the slope. Hit the wall fast enough and the slanted ceiling should knock you up to the right.

    4. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    5. Drop down onto the boulder. Hold brake and tap left when necessary to keep yourself on it. Once it's all the way to the right let yourself fall off and continue right. Next, use fast rolling to launch up and hit the ceiling to land to the left. Hop over the gap you just came up and onto the cart. Hold brake to stay on top of it as it rolls down the slope, then continue. Roll up the next slope and launch off. When you land to the left, hop over right and continue down and right.

    6. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    7. Wait until the gap with out the flap is near you, and then jump into it. Roll into near the middle and brake. When the other tunnel is nearly horizontal, roll into it. Roll down it, push through the flap and out to the ledge on the right. Next, roll up the curved wall to the right of the screen, as fast as possible, and as soon as you leave the surface hold left and S. You should rebound off the spinning boulder up to the right. This may take a few tries as you need to hit a flat edge on the boulder head on. Brake when you land to avoid falling back down. Next, hop onto the suspended platform. From there, roll onto the boulder, around the top of it to the exit at the right. If you fall to the floor simply use the curved left wall to get back up to the platform.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Roll down and drop onto the hammer. Let it swing right and then drop off to the right. Roll over to the right of the screen, and roll up the right wall to hit the suspended object and set it swinging. Quickly move over to the left, and then hit enter to drop the platform when the object swings underneath it. It should hook in and drop down to form a ramp. Roll up and jump off it to continue. Drop down the shaft and continue.

    10. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    11. Roll right, and roll up and around side of the raised floor to jump onto the suspended platform. Then jump off it to the right, onto the raised floor. Continue right, then drop down. Use the steep ramp to hop up to the suspended platform, then roll off it to the right.

    12. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    13. Roll onto the hanging platform, which will start moving. Quickly drop down through it and stop on the bottom. When it nears the end of the track, roll off onto the platform to the right. Continue on over the small gap to the exit.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Slowly roll onto the first suspended block, then drop onto the solid ground into the middle. Roll quickly right and up the next block to jump right to the next screen. Hold S and right to roll up the first part of the S, then when you're in the air start holding left to roll up the top half. Brake when you land, and then hop off to the right. Roll onto the swinging platform, and just roll across quickly to the exit.

    16. S: Reverse Gravity.

    17. You have no direct control on this level. Reverse gravity and hold it until you are in the upper tunnel. Let yourself drop and roll around to the right exit. Reverse gravity to get up the shaft and start rolling on the ceiling. Before you hit the wall, let yourself drop. Then keep turning it on and off to keep yourself in the air, but avoiding the outcropping until you're past the bottom tip. Then hold reverse gravity to continue rolling along the ceiling. Let yourself drop onto the floor, then keep flipping gravity to hover yourself across the gap to the exit.

    18. A: Brake.

    19. Drop onto the left of the first seesaw, and roll right and hop off it. Drop onto the next one and continue straight off to the right. Do the same again, quickly to hop straight to the next one. Roll on the right of that one to lower it and continue. Roll right to the exit.

    20. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    21. This level needs to be done quickly. Roll left to start the boulder rolling and drop down. Fast roll up the left wall and continue right. Hop across the small gaps and continue. Roll up the slope and jump to the upper of the 2 paths. Push the ball off the edge, drop to the left of it and go around left and then right. Roll fast at the ramped block to hit the ceiling and drop onto the raised ledge. Finally hop right to the exit.

    22. A: Brake

    23. Drop onto the first block when it is nearly flat, and then hop off it to the next one. Wait until that is at about a 45 degree angle, and then use it as a ramp to hop up to the right. Drop through the gap to lower platform. When the tunnel through the boulder is horizontal roll into it and go straight throught to launch out to the right. Drop down slightly and roll straight over the small gaps.

    24. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    25. Drop into the middle of the spinning boulder when the opportunity arises. Roll down to the bottom and onto the right wall/floor to keep it spinning clockwise. Then drop out onto the top of the next one. Quickly roll off it to the right. Wait for the 2 boulders to roll past, then roll right and up the wall to get up to the ledge. Wait for the next 2 to pass, then roll right and out to the exit. Roll into the boulder to start it spinning. As it spins roll into the perpendicular tunnel, and when that is raised enough, roll out to the right to the exit.

  7. The Void

    1. Roll right, then jump off the ramp at the end of the platform.

    2. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    3. Use the tip of the star as a ramp, and land on one of the smaller stars. Ride it round and hop off to the right. Hop on the star, between two points, ride it around and drop onto the next one. Quickly jump off that and onto the next one. Finally ride that around and hop off to the next screen. Roll across the stars and onto the spinning one. Hop of that to the right.

    4. A: Brake.

    5. Stop on the platform, just to the right of the star it's balancing on (but not so it starts to tip). Release the ball to get catapulted to the next screen. Roll up the slope and onto the spinning star. Drop down onto the platform below, then use the raised edge as a ramp to hop to the right. Continue, and hop the small gap to the exit.

    6. A: Brake.

    7. Wait for the spheres to slow down their spinning, and jump through to grab the key in the middle. Wait again, then when they slow again, jump out and go up the slope. The light beam describes the start of an invisible platform. Keep rolling to the right, you won't fall. When you get back to solid ground, wait for the star to be spinning anticlockwise. Then as it slows, hop over to it and roll across. Roll out to the right.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Roll up the small ramp to the left, then roll down it and jump off the ramp to the right to get up to the key. Then drop down and continue right. Use the ramp to hop the small gap, then drop down. Roll right, and up the wall to hit the ceiling and land on the raised ledge. Then go right, hopping across the small gaps. Drop down onto the ramp, and stop with brake. Jump off carefully (at normal speed) to the next ramp. Repeat until you reach the other side.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Roll across the stars and drop onto the platform on the right. Move quickly to avoiding falling off as they spin. Next, roll up the wall and brake when you land to get to the ledge halfway up the S shape. Then roll up the left wall to land on the top slope. Continue right, drop onto each star in turn, using brake to steady yourself. When you reach the bottom, hop across the gap and go up the slope. Continue and jump off the ramp onto the invisible floor. Exit right.

    12. A: Brake.

    13. Drop down, and roll down onto the platform under the balloon. Ride it to the right, then hop off into the passage. Getting off can be tricky; wait until the platform is stopped right next to the ledge. Next jump off the ramp onto the next hanging platform, and again jump off once it reaches the right. Carefully roll over the spike sticking over the floor. Then drop onto the next platform and ride it far to the right.

    14. Permanent Brake.

    15. You're in a flying vehicle. Holding right will cause you to go up and right, and left will cause you to go up and left. If you want to gain height without accelerating too much in one direction, alternate left and right in short bursts. From the start, go right, but don't climb to high and get stuck on the ceiling. Knock the ball off the pillar, and continue right. Go up, and knock the next ball off, then drop down to the right, and exit right.

    16. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    17. Roll right, and on the next screen hop the small gap and go over the ramp to the right. Drop the ball, then hop over it to go back left. Use fast rolling to jump off the ramp and land on the block above the balloon. Release it, and balance on top of the balloon. When you're high enough, hop off left and grab the key. Drop down, then hop onto the platform under the balloon, with enough speed to start it moving right. Then when it reaches the right, hop off onto the ledge second from the top (above the ledge with the ramp). Continue right past the now removed door. Roll straight across the gap, over the star and continue right. Roll fast enough right and hop the next gap and roll up the slope. Exit right.

    18. S: Fast Rolling.

    19. This level you're in a car with a balloon on top. Left goes right and vv. Drive right across the gap, then over the hill. Next wait for the spinning platform to be horizontal, drive onto it and straight off to the right.

    20. S: Fast Rolling.

    21. You're stuck in another flying jalopy. Right will push you up and right; left, up and left. You climb quickly in this one. Fly right, avoiding the block on the ceiling. Drop a couple of blocks with [enter] and wait for the wall to drop down. When it does, fly past to the right.

    22. Permanent Brake.

    23. Drop onto the spinning arm when it is horizontal underneath you, and roll off it onto the star. Drop off that onto solid ground and continue right. Again, drop onto the arm when it's horizontal towards you and roll up the slope. Drop onto the ball, slightly right of centre, and balance on it as it rolls right. Drop off onto the raised floor and exit right.

    24. A: Brake.

    25. Jump across the platform when the moving wall is out of the way. Next, jump across when the left of the two platforms is at its lowest. You should get through and land on the slope. Roll up it and continue right. When the spinning platform is at 45 degrees on the top left of the circle, hop onto it and brake. Ride it round and drop onto the next platform. Ride that round and drop onto the solid ground. Next, wait for the outer spinning platform to be almost vertical on the left. Jump off the ramp, and brake as you land. You should be able to hold on as it flattens off. Then jump off to the right and continue.

  8. Murky Depths

    1. A: Brake.

    2. Hop across the gap when the branch you start on sways upwards. Next hop off that ramp through the gap in the tree (indicated by the thinning in it's silhouette). Continue through another tree, drop onto the lower branch and continue. Roll up the ramp and drop off. Continue through the next 2 trees.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Roll left, up the slope and jump into the flying machine. Right flies right and left flies left. Fly back the way you came and over the small raised floor previously blocking progress. Fly over the gap and over the top off the cliff.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Hug the tree on your right, and then hit enter to drop the ball. Wait for the other one to roll over you and drop into the gap below your branch. Drop down onto it and wait until the other boulder drops into the pit. Then continue right, hop through the tree using the shallow ramp, and continue up the slope. Continue right, through the gaps in the trees. Don't go too fast or you'll hit the tree above the gap and fall off.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    8. Fire the cannon, drop the wheel when the cart is underneath, and release the left hammer when the cart is nearby. Destroy the lowest block too. The cart should drop down and let the wheel roll into the pit. Drop down onto it and go right. Use fast rolling to roll up the right wall. When you're in the air hold S and left to continue up around the ceiling and into the tunnel right.

    9. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    10. Roll onto the plank, and stop above the left block supporting it. Then drop the boulder to be catapulted towards the exit. Stand about halfway along the next plank and drop the boulder. Then when you land back on it, roll up it and hop off to the right. On the next one, stop between the two supports in the middle. The ball should catapult you to the exit.

    11. Roll to the left of the screen, then drop the leftmost plank. Roll up that and to the right. Drop the middle plank, roll up it and drop the final plank. Roll across that to the right. Drop onto the left of the plank, so it pivots, and then roll up it to the exit. Continue right, and roll over the gap.

    12. Permanent fast rolling.

    13. You're inside another flying machine. Controls are as you would expect (right-right, left-left). Fly right, and push the blocks off the pillar. Continue, and drop down a little to fly under the suspended block.

    14. A: Brake.

    15. You're in a car for this level. Controls are the reverse of what you expect (right-left, left-right). Go right and drop off the edge. Try and keep yourself upright; it may take a few tries. Drop down to the very bottom, and drive through the tunnel. Continue up the slopes. Brake can be very useful to avoid flipping on the slope. Knock down the plank, and drop down. Exit right over the plank.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Drop onto the left of first platform, wait for it to spin enough, then drop down to the next one. Stand on its right side, and drop down onto the branch. Go right, up the slope, and hop the gap. Go through the tree, and onto the rope bridge, above the arrow. Drop the boulder to get thrown up and get the key. Roll off the right of the platform you land on and over the boulder. Continue right. Roll at the spinning plank when it is just past horizontal. You should hit it, roll up it and be thrown to the left onto a branch. Requires good timing, so keep trying. Then go left through the tree and over the spike in the branch. Use that spike to jump right onto the upper branch. Go right, over the gap, to exit.

    18. You're suspended in cage under a wheel. Right and left move the wheel right and left along the branch. Go right over the slopes in the branch. Wait for the spinning platform to be horizontal, then roll onto it and off to the middle branch. Do the same again and continue right. Roll straight across the gap and continue right, behind the foliage in the foreground.

    19. Same situation as the previous level. Drop onto the first plank when the end near you is swinging down. Roll across it onto the next one, and off that when it is angled up. Wait for the next platform to be horizontal, then roll off the branch you're hanging off. You should slide along and hit the platform. Roll straight across it and onto the next branch. Continue right over the uneven branches.

    20. You're in a car with an oscillating crane like arm on the top. Left and right move you as normal. Go left, and stop about 3/4 of the way across the floor. When the arm on top of you is near the steepest angle it makes, fire the cannon. The ball should bounce off and fly into the tunnel at the top of the screen. You're trying to get it into the lower of the 2 tunnels. When you've managed that, go right again to see a plank has fallen to create a bridge. Continue right.

    21. You're back in the harness suspended from a wheel. Go right, down the slope. Wait for the lower hammer to go past the top of its swing, and the next time the upper hammer is out of the way, go right and hop the gap. Stop on the right of the plank to tip it down so you can continue. Then wait for the spinning plank to be horizontal. Roll onto it and straight across to hop off to the top branch. Continue right, over a simple jump to the end of the world.

  9. Giant Leaf

    1. You're in a strange jumping contraption for this level. A makes your legs jump, and left and right spin fans to push you left and right. Jump to the right, over the boulder and the gaps. Jump Up the cliff, pushing the boulder down the slope.

    2. A: Brake.

    3. Roll up the moving platforms when they're angled up to use them as ramps. Use the next one to jump across the gap. Then jump back left, up to the top ledge. Go up the wall and around to get to the top moving platform. Jump off that to the right to reach the exit. Next roll along and jump up to hit the moving platform. It should push you left, so you land on the ledge. Then jump off that, over the moving platform to the exit.

    4. You do not have control of the ball; instead you control the movement of the platforms in this level. Right rotates clockwise, and left, anticlockwise. Tilt right to move the ball right. Tilt each platform as it lands on them to keep it moving, until you drop down and out to the right. When the ball comes to a stop, release the boulder to throw it up and continue. Adjust the top moving platform to roll the ball back left, then the bottom one to pick up the ball and flip it out to the right.

    5. A: Brake.

    6. Roll right, and jump onto the left side of the seesaw. Roll up it as it pivots, and onto the next plank. Jump up onto the hanging plank. As it pivots up, roll up the plank to hop onto the fixed platform. Then roll right into the platform.

    7. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    8. Roll down the slope, and use the small hump in the floor to jump through the pillar. Roll up the left wall fast, so you hit the side of the pillar. It should fall over. You can then roll up the left wall again to get onto it. Roll up it, onto the platform. From their, roll right off the side, just quick enough to drop down to the raised floor, and continue right. Hop onto one of the platforms when it passes close, and stay on it by braking and moving around corners as it spins. When you reach the right side, drop off and continue.

    9. Another jumping contraption. Left and right move left and right, and A causes the arms to pound down and launch you into the air. Go right, jumping up the slopes. Hop across the gap by getting a run up and jumping at the last second. Drive down the slope and jump at the last second to get over the gap and up the cliff.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Get on the swinging block when it is approaching the left side, then roll off when it's back right. Use the lip on the edge of the cliff to hop onto the block when it's at its lowest point. Then hop off it to the right. Jump over the small gap and continue. Get on the block when it hits the ledge you're on, and ride it to the right. Hop off and exit right.

    12. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    13. Roll up the right wall, and in the air hold left so you roll up the left wall when you hit it. Brake when you land, and continue right. Roll onto the boulder, just right of centre, and then brake and stay on it. When you reach the right side, roll off and continue. Ride the cart to the exit.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Go across the gap and push the large ball right. Immediatly position yourself under the centre right of the next boulder, so it rolls left. Repeat twice, making sure that 2 balls go into each pit. Then roll up the left wall and push the small ball down. Continue pushing it right to the next screen. Push it under the right of the suspended girder, then drop the girder. This will make a ramp you can use to get into the tunnel. Hop across the gap and push the boulder right. You need to control the boulders again, so that 2 go into the gap on the right and 2 fall off the stage to the left. When that's done, continue right to the exit.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Make your way carefully across the moving platforms. Next, hop onto the swinging platform, and wait for it to swing right. Then jump off to the right.

    18. You're in a cage suspended under a wheel. Right rolls right and left rolls it left. Roll right, and hop across the gap. Continue, and hop across several more gaps. Then drop off the platform, and roll along the ground.

    19. A: Brake, S: Fast rolling.

    20. Get on the platform, and wait for it to reach the end. Hop off and continue right.

    21. A: Brake.

    22. Jump off the ramp to first platform, wait for it to swing right, then roll to the next one. Repeat to reach the ledge on the right. Roll onto the next platform and knock the ball off. Then roll from that to the next one, and finally to the next solid ledge. Next, there are another pair of platforms with balls on. Continue across them, and hop over to the right to reach the end of this world.

  10. Aurora's North

    1. Roll right, and drop down to the left of the gap. The light coloured surface is icy and slippery. You won't have as much traction on such surfaces. Get a good run up and hop the gap. Next, drop down and use the ramp to jump over to the right.

    2. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    3. Roll to the right and drop down, then jump to the right. Drop down and jump to the bottom left. Finally roll up the left wall to reach the right exit. Roll up the slope to the right, and before you hit the ceiling, hit left. Then drop into the loop and roll up the left wall to reach the top right. Carefully roll down the slope, and drop onto the platform below. Roll left and drop down to the bottom, then head right and hop the gap.

    4. Roll right to start the ball rolling. Then roll right up the icy slope. Make sure you get a good run up so you make it to the top. Drop into the half pipe, roll up the left side, then down and up the right to get out. Then head right and over the slope sticking out to drop down. Roll to the left, and then roll right straight at the large ball to bounce off it to the exit.

    5. The ball is on a sledge, and you have no direct control. Release the sledge when the spinning platform is at about 45 degrees, pointed up and right. When it comes to a stop, wait for the next platform to be a little before horizontal. Then release the hammer to start the sledge moving again. When it stops again, release the block directly in front of it. Then release the hammer. Release the block holding the platform when the sledge is just over the pivot.

    6. A: Brake.

    7. Very icy level. Roll up left, and then right to get out of the starting bowl, and carefully roll down the slope to the ledge below. Roll up the left to get a run up, then roll right and across the gap. Next, roll down onto the moving platform when it's nearly horizontal, and hop off to the right. Jump up using the ramp, and roll up the right wall. Then grab the key and head back left. Roll down onto the spinning platform again, and head right again. Go through the tunnel where the door was this time, to reach the exit.

    8. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    9. Drop down, and go to the left. Drop the block and give it a push right. Roll up the left wall to get back up, and head right to the next screen. When the block slides past, drop onto it, and then back up on the right. Wait for the block again, and drop onto it. Watch out as it will get a lot faster when it goes down the slope. Then get off to the right.

    10. A: Brake.

    11. Drop down left and give the block a push. Then get back up by rolling up the left wall. Drop onto the block and use it to get on the slope to the right. Drop onto it again and get off at the triangular slope. Get on and off again and then head to the right. Drop onto it one final time, ride it down the slope, and get off at the bottom right before it falls into the pit.

    12. The ball is on a sledge, and you control platforms with the arrow keys. Tilt the platform so it's slightly above horizontal on the right, and release the sledge. Spin the platforms so the left one is flat. Then release the boulder and spin each platform in turn to keep it moving right. When it falls down and flips the bridge, release the sledge again.

    13. You're in a cage with a balloon on top. Controls are normal, and you will float a lot when you're in the air. Also, you can change trajectory in the air, because of the fan. Move right and jump off. Land on the middle ramp, and jump again to the right. Jump on the spinning platform as it moves past horizontal to get flung in the air, and land on the ledge. Then drop down and go through the tunnel on the right.

    14. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    15. Roll to the right, then fast roll up the left wall to get around to the right. Brake and hold left on landing to avoid falling into a pit. Jump across using the ramps. Roll at the icy ramp with medium speed to land on the ramp underneath. Then jump into the tunnel on the right.

    16. You control the cart in this level. A makes the platform on top flip. Drop the boulder onto the cart, and then flip it into the gap on the right. Then drop the ball and carry it right 2 screens. Then flip it to the exit, right.

    17. Pinball Level.

    18. Release the wheel on the left. Wheels will now roll down to the flippers. Use them to flip as many as possible out to the right. When they're all done, release the ball. It will roll to the right. Release the block on this screen, and if you got enough wheel the ball will roll to the exit.

    19. You're in the balloon ball carrier again. Go right, and onto the spinning blades. Continue right. On the next screen, use the spinning blade to push you up and over the wall. Use the next one to push you right. Drop onto the platforms, and drop through, then land on the right. Roll up the slope and out to the right.

    20. A: Brake.

    21. Roll across the gap in the buildings, and then onto the antenna. Hop off to the right, onto the next screen and drop down. Go into the open window.

  11. Hidden Stars

    1. Harara Mountains - 3: Go through to the third screen, and get up to the left side of the top tunnel. Roll up the slope on the left and into the wall.

    2. Harara Mountains - 5: Go to the second screen, and roll up to the top of the ramp, then fast roll left to hit the ramp on the first screen. You should jump left into a hidden tunnel in the left wall. Brake on landing, then roll up the slope into the wall.

    3. Skymning - 4: Get to the third screen, then very carefully drop onto the raised floor on the left. Drop through a hole in the floor there.

    4. Skymning - 7: From the right side of the first screen, fast roll up the slope to the next screen and hit the ramp fast. You should jump up onto the plank. Roll to the right, and into the little ledge in the ceiling.

    5. Old Ruins - 1: Get to the second screen. Drop down past the platform, and roll off the ledge to the left. You'll land on the small ledge on the bottom right of the first screen, roll into the flat part of the wall.

    6. Perpetuum Factory - 9: Go straight right to the third screen. Go under the suspended plank. Then fast roll left, off the ramp and up the wall. When you're in the air for a second before hitting the right wall, hold right. You should roll up the wall and land just on the top edge of the left platform. Brake and left to get on it. Then roll off the left into the wall on the left screen.

    7. Perpetuum Factory - 11: Get to the second screen. You need to tilt the seesawing platform very low on the left, so you can roll across it and get onto the top right platform. Then head right, roll over the gap and into the wall.

    8. Ranna Caverns - 10: On the first screen, get on the second seesaw. Make it tilt far down to the right, then jump off the left onto the ledge. The secret exit is in the wall there.

    9. Murky Depths - 3: Get to the third screen, drop onto the first branch, but then go left through the trees. The exit is in the middle tree on the left screen, on the bottom branch next to the bird.

    10. Giant Leaf - 4: Get to the right side of the second screen. Push the plank left to make it drop down, allowing you into the pit. The exit is in the bottom right.

    11. Giant Leaf - 12: Ride the platform to the third screen, then wait for it to swing up to the right. Hop off it to the upper ledge. The exit is to the right.

    12. Aurora's North - 3: Get to the last screen ahead of the small ball, but then push the big one into the pit and stop the small ball. Push it slowly left one screen, and into the small dip in the floor. The roll at it and use it to hop up to the small ledge, and roll into the exit.

  12. Slightly Nonsense

    1. Needs 6 stars to pass. S: Fast Rolling.

    2. Roll up the left wall to get out of the start area. The drop into the red floor. Roll up the left wall to land on the platform above. Then drop right and roll up the slope. Fast roll off the next ramp to reach a key and door. Grab it to go through.

    3. A: Brake.

    4. Head right across the ASCII plains. Make your way across some ramp to the right exit, then drop down. Jump off the ramp going right, and fire the cannon in mid air to hit yourself. Push the cannon ball that drop to the right, and then get another. Push that to the right and roll at it to get up on the ledge.

    5. Hold A to pull back the level, and release to hit the ball. Charge it to exactly on the mark at 8 to continue.

    6. S: Reverse Gravity.

    7. You have no direct control of the ball. Reverse gravity to start rolling left, then drop onto the ramp below. Flip gravity repeatedly to hover under the spinning blade, and then go up the shaft to the right. On the next screen, go under the first and over the second. Next, use gravity to fly under the irregular ceiling. Try not to touch it where the slope will push you back.

    8. A: Brake.

    9. The white blocks will bounce you up, but you still can't change direction in mid air. Go right, bouncing off the blocks to get over the pillar in the middle. If you take the lower exit you will need to bounce back and forth across the block to get around to the top, then continue right. Next drop onto the middle ledge, then onto the bouncing platform to the right. Exit right.

    10. Another catapult level. This time charge it to about 6, not the line, to complete.

    11. Needs 12 stars to pass. A: Brake.

    12. Roll across, and up the spinning platform to the right. Use the next spinning platform to get to the lower alcove and grab the key. Then ride it back up to get past where the door was. Exit right. Stop on the left edge of the right spinning platform to angle it up, then jump off it to the right.

    13. You have no direct control in this level. Release the cart at the top, and spin the shape in the centre to make one roll into each gap at the bottom. Then release the ball to continue.

    14. A: Brake.

    15. Drop down and roll over to the right. Roll up the right wall to get up to the top right platform, then jump right to continue. Drop onto the bounce pad and bounce right. Roll over the gap, and then jump right into space.

    16. A: Brake.

    17. Drop onto the first platform, wait for it to tilt up and then get on the second one. Hop from that to the right. Drop onto another platform, wait for it angle up quite high, then jump off over the wall. Roll right.

    18. A: Brake.

    19. Drop the bottom platform, then the upper platform. Drop onto them and roll over them to the right. Next, roll off the left entrance onto the first spinner when one of its blades is low enough. Jump off it to the next one, and from there to the top right. Exit right.

    20. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    21. Get on the big ball, and ride it right until you hit the second ball. Move onto that, and ride it right to the next screen. Move onto the third ball when you reach it, and ride that to the right. Roll right to the exit.

    22. A: Brake, S: Fast Rolling.

    23. Note that the glowing circles will stop you. Drop down and ride the spinning balls to the next screen. There, drop down onto the middle platform. From there hop right, across the tops of the 2 spinners to the right ledge. Continue right, and get over the spike by rolling over it gently, to avoid hitting the circle. Then make the 2 simple hops to the right and reach the end of the game.
