Ah, the open sea. The sun on your face, the smell of salt in your nose, the sound of cannons blasting your rival's ship to pieces. The life of a pirate must be grand. Pirate Pat, however, is not satisfied with the mundane life on a ship that sails across the top of the water. Instead he decides to search beneath the waves for the treasures of Atlantis in his submarine. In Pirate Pat and The Treasure of Atlantis, a charming action puzzler by 3Robots, Pat is determined to find his fortune under water, if only you will help.
Using the [arrow] keys, guide the submarine through the water to collect coins and treasure chests, while avoiding obstacles and solving a few puzzles along the way. Your ultimate goal is to find the Crown of Atlantis. Beware! Giant jellyfish roam these waters, and if you bump in to one of them, you'll drop your booty! Exploration is a large part of the fun, so leave no cave unexplored if you want to find all of the treasure chests. Chests hold armor pieces which you need to collect in order to get all the achievements. While not too challenging, Pirate Pat's wonderful artwork and music round things out to provide a very enjoyable gaming experience. And let's face it. Who can resist a pirate in a submarine?
Is it just me, or is this game a little laggy?
It's a LOT laggy. And there is no quality button, as far as I can tell
It could do with an upgrade system, where you spend coins to upgrade the features of your sub.
Oh good, I thought it was just my computer doing it. I tried it in both Chrome & IE, with the same results. I will try again in a few days/weeks, maybe it will be better then.
Works very well in Firefox, for those having lag issues. Using it in Chrome was near impossible.
I'm using Firefox, and didn't have any lag at all.
Ah, I love it! Though no pineapples... really well-designed levels and lots of fun. It bears mentioning that the vents/energy blasts don't kill you. At least, they didn't seem to affect me.
No lag, and I found this game to be quite fun. The only issue is the scoring system is broke. I collected all the pieces of Poseidon's armor, but at the end it doesn't give you a complete bonus for it. Instead it says you get the points for completing the Hades armor even though I only had 3 pieces.
I found that to be true, as well, bluegriffin18. Plus, I scoured the place for
the sword or whatever of Hades
and couldn't locate it. Any clues?
But I loves me some submarine games.
Silent George, the piece you're looking for is
right underneath your house, at the very beginning.
Very Nice. This one goes in my favorites to try again later.
Laggy to the point of being completely unplayable in Chrome. I'm already running 2 browsers. I'm not going to install Firefox just for this.
I'm using Chrome, and it plays fine for me. Might just be your computer.
This was a cute, low-stress game until I got to an impasse. I'm stuck
at that machine with the pistons. I can't get through it, and it looks like through is the only way to go.
Am I missing something?
Is there some other way, or a way to turn off the air jet that I missed?
Or am I stuck because I stink at games requiring
reflexes or timing?
Kinda ruining the game for me.
Nevermind. Got past it. I guess maybe there is something to the power of posting.
