Soul Redeemer First impressions count for a lot. In the case of Soul Redeemer, the new top down zombie action shooter by the Bekho Team, it introduces itself with a plot-explaining narration that cracked me up, though I don't think it was supposed to. Still, whenever a game starts by expounding on how, every couple centuries or so, the alignment of constellations somehow release demonic forces to eat our souls, and the only thing standing in their way is a warrior dude in asymmetrical armor shooting stuff... I'm going to stay around. And I'm glad I did! While Soul Redeemer is not the most original of games, it has a charm to it that fans of the genre should enjoy.

Goblin War Machine The goblins are mad as hell, and they're not going to take it anymore! After years of humans stealing goblin inventions and claiming them for their own, the goblins are ready to strike back by constructing an impressive (if somewhat unsteady) goblin powered war machine and rolling through the countryside. Crush the human resistance, earn upgrades and highscores across eighteen levels in this silly, bouncy action physics title from Big Block Games. Whose side are you on?

Warning Foregone Warning Foregone is an addictive little pixelated shooter based heavily on previous games while managing to stand on its own. Featuring an evolving boss, several weapon upgrades, and achievements galore, Warning Foregone with feel familiar while driving you to see just what kind of boss evolves next.

Radical Fishing A three phase fishing game from Vlambeer. First, cast your hook into the water, avoiding fish as you head deeper and deeper. Second, snag as much sea life as you can as you reel your hook in. Finally, fling them into the sky and use your weapons to blast them into sushi. An over-bloody and surreal, but quite addictive time.

Mining Truck 2 Fancy taking a mining convoy for a ride through underground tunnels? Can you do it fast and still get all the goods there? You're hired! Develop a case of slowly-rising blood pressure in developer AntKarlov's gravity-bound physics arcade game. The taste of success is worth it.

Inferno 2: Meltdown Fire! In the Diner! Fire! In the Cake Factory! Another spree of accidental flame outbreaks is afflicting the land of Casual Gaming, and its once again up to the little robot fire-fighter that could to put them out. So is the premise of The Podge's puzzle platformer sequel, Inferno 2: Meltdown.

Immortal Souls Immortal Souls puts you in the role of John Turner, a street racer-turned vampire who out to protect New Haven from the forces of darkness. This comic-book like, turn-based RPG has detailed art and animation to go with its numerous epic battles. Can you help the forces of light overcome the forces of darkness?

Blue Knight In Blue Knight, you control a human sent to purge a planet for future human colonization. This retro-looking platform shooter has you jumping and shooting your way through a large world, collecting powerups and facing off against various bad guys on your way to the final boss.

Bubble Tanks 3 Bubble Tanks 3 takes the series to new heights by combining the best of the Bubble Tanks core gameplay with the customizing features from Bubble Tanks Arenas. The result is a solid sequel to a very popular Flash game series that's a lot of fun to play. The campaign is solid, the user-created tanks keep things fresh and the enemy editor is a ton of fun and will keep this version of the game living for a long time to come.

Poltergifts A defense shooter release from Evil Dog and Sick Death Fiend. Tis the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature is stirring, save for the hordes of demon-possessed toys that have found their way under the tree, ready to devour the sleeping bodies of Mom, Dad, and little Timmy. The only thing that stands in their way is you, your hammer and lots of tacks, a ball, a whip that cracks, and a plethora of other gift-weapons. Robot Wants JIG Banner Game by Hamumu Today we launched a new banner game for the site, created by Mike Hommel of Hamumu Software. Worth the initial weirdness for a quiet gem of an experience with a surprising amount of depth in its simple design.

Demons Took My Daughter When there is no more room in hell, demons will walk the earth, stealing soft plushy toys so you can't use them to find your daughter, unless you use a combination of platforming and defense to stop them... that's, uh... how that goes, right? Nerdook delivers another clever genre hybrid, this time putting you into the shoes of one weird dad trying to save his daughter from even weirder enemies.

IntoSpace! A Gray-Haired Science Guy has been ordered by his government to launch a rocket straight to the moon in Barbarian Games' new take on the launch action genre. Using Keyboard or Mouse controls, steer your craft ever higher, picking up bonuses and adding upgrades until you reach the ultimate goal of 300k feet. The countdown awaits!

Ray Ardent: Science Ninja There's a new science hero in town! Ray Ardent: Science Ninja is a solid platformer with a nice coat of polish that sets it apart from the rest, and it uses its hilarious concept to full effect which helps makes it a memorable game. Platform fans should certainly give it a shot.

Gravitee Wars If you've always wanted to go into space but golf wasn't your cup of tea (HA!), then try out this new spin on FunkyPear's physics series! Utilize the gravitational pull of planets to help you take out the opposing team in this turn-based game of space warfare. Unlock new weapons, earn achievements, upgrade your troops, and try to do it all under par.

Road of the Dead When the army tries to lock down a city during a zombie outbreak, one lone mechanic decides to make a break for it. In this clever take on the driving genre, try and make it out of the city alive, racking up kills to upgrade your car and trying to stay one step ahead of the army. Turns out the military doesn't appreciate someone trying to escape a quarantine zone. If they have their way, the only way you'll be getting out is in a body bag.

Wings of Ge.Ne.Sis Who hasn't wanted to fly? I'll tell you: penguins. They're perfectly okay with staying on land. You'll never see a penguin in an airplane, that's for sure. For all the rest of us who'd love to take to the skies, though, there's Wings of Ge.Ne.Sis, the new side-scrolling shooter from An Lieu. While the original Ge.Ne.Sis was a console-style RPG, this spinoff takes things in a whole new direction; namely, up and above!

Reachin' Pichin Poor little Pichin can barely manage a jump, and apparently this fills its creator with disgust. In Reachin' Pichin, the debut from Malaysian game makers Kurechii, a sympathetic lab assistant helps Pichin launch up into the sky, grab all the money and gems conveniently floating around up there, and use them to evolve into something that will make its creator proud.

Notebook Wars Notebook Wars is a top-down, vertical scrolling shoot-em-up with personality and charm. It starts out a little slow, but it's not long before it picks up the challenge. And while the art style may be the main attraction here, the relaxed and casual shoot-em-up gameplay paired with lots of upgrades to outfit your ship with together make this little shooter shine. If you're looking for a nice and enjoyable, cool looking side-scrolling shoot-em-up, it'd be hard to go wrong with Notebook Wars.

Robot Wants Ice Cream After kitties, puppies, and fishies, Robot has finally figured out what he truly wants... ICE CREAM. But when he and his trusty Puppy arrive on a planet in search of some, he finds the situation a bit more explosive than he anticipated. Battle bosses, collect power ups, and explore in this wonderful finale to the hit platforming series from Hamumu Software!

Gunbot Gunbot is a platformer/shooter from Berzerk Studio where you'll do the usual robot stuff, like collecting stars and shooting dinosaurs. As you take down enemies you'll get experience to level up with, and you'll gain skills like double jump or firebomb. Your foes also drop money which you'll use to buy guns. Gunbot has pretty much everything you could ask for. It's funny, the difficulty increases smoothly and the gameplay is fun.

Little Protectors The latest in the Protector series from Undefined might not be what you expect, but it still has all the strategy and fantasy you love. Use your tower defense skills to defend the adorable land with your adorable warriors against the adorable forces of darkness. Trust us; it's adorable.

Pixel Purge The fictional land of Pixela-RT witnessed years of prosperity. Now, a dark portal spews forth endless waves of Space Invaders inspired monsters intent on destroying all that is good and pixely. Luckily, volunteers from across the land take to the sky in small white spaceships to fend off the menace. Endless waves of enemies face down your small white ship on an apocalyptic top-down battlefield in this arena shooter from Epic Shadow.

Harmony Keeper Ah, the cosmos. It contains the whole of everything that is, was and shall be. It is filled with the awe-inspiring beauty of the nebulae, the quasars and the familiar stars. Science cannot know how big the universe is, nor can it count the number of planets or star. Every time we get close to an exact figure, a giant space whale, dubbed Harmony Keeper, starts devouring celestial bodies. Or at least, that's what this latest action/arcade title from Mofunzone teaches us.

Robot Wants Fishy What's not to love about this fantastic sequel? The kicking retro graphics, the astonishingly nostalgic music and sound effects, everything adds up to tons of fabulous casual gameplay. Enjoy the new challenge, the new enemies, and the same fantastic warm feeling as you help your lonely robot find yet another friend. And not to spoil the ending, but it turns out that Kitty really wants Fishy too. Maybe the honeymoon isn't over after all.

Catapult Madness With trolls on every side and the nearest kingdom over 50,000 feet away, what's a king to do? Well, you could make peace with your deities, try for a valiant final stand... or you could load your unwilling populace into a questionable catapult and fling them through bombs, spears, birds, and enemy forces to try to reach help, no matter how many civilians you have to splatter along the way. I think you know what the responsible thing to do is.

Big Pixel Zombies Zombies to the left me, er, zombies to the right. Here I am, stuck in the middle with two AK-47s, three primed hand grenades and one dog with a mini gun on his back. Get ready to take survival to a whole new level in this top-down shooter! With steak!

War Of Cells Global warming is going to be our undoing, but not because we will suddenly run out of polar bear pelts or ice for our afternoon drinks. Thanks to raising temperatures, more ice starts to melt, unleashing a virus that has remained frozen for millennia. But this is not any virus. Necronator Being bad is hard to do! Tasked with raising the monstrous horde and overrunning the kingdom, it might seem like a done deal. After all, the stories you usually hear is about how hard good has to work to overcome evil. Crushing the kingdom under your evil army's boot heels is as much fun as it sounds in this strategy game.

Robot Wants Puppy Robot's at it again; armed with a kitty perched atop his boxlike head, he's off to get himself a new friend in this follow up to the surprise smash-hit original retro platformer. Gather keys and unlock the mighty (mighty weird) abilities of your feline companion to eventually win the day and the puppy.

Pixel Basher Ready for a blast from the past? Pixel Basher is a Breakout clone with a slick new look, new upgrades, and new backgrounds. At only nine levels, it won't keep you busy for long, but it's fast, addictive fun for those of us who remember when an arcade was an actual thing you went to rather than just "That thing old uncle Bob keeps talking about whenever I fire up the console".

Viricide From the creator of The Company of Myself comes an arena shooter with a surprisingly deep message at its core, offering food for thought alongside fast-paced gameplay. EXADI is a highly advanced artificial intelligence who needs your help to recover her systems after the assault of a particularly nasty virus. But where did the virus come from? And just what makes someone human anyway?

Knight Elite Like being king of your castle? Best keep those orcish hordes at bay with a bit of fighting, building and training. But mostly fighting. After planting his castle on what might have been the resident sacred patch of land, a knight is facing wave after wave of orcs keen to remove him from the local scenery in Ninja Kiwi's interesting defense/hack-and-slash twist.

Enigmata 2: Genu's Revenge Genu is back and wants his revenge! Who's Genu? Who cares! It's another excuse to pilot overpowered, flashy spaceships against legions of enemies in this fast-paced shooter full of big bosses, big upgrades, and big fun. While not quite perfect, it's an enjoyable and challenging space adventure for every fan of lasers.

Robot Wants Kitty Where oh where has my kitty cat gone? Only robot can find out, and it's up to you to help him get there by guiding him past hazards and to power ups, keys, and ultimately kitty-cat-havin'-glory in this retro-themed, pixel platform adventure.

Mad Karate Man Martial artists have for centuries honed their bodies, minds, and souls to the very height of human potential. Entire lifetimes are dedicated to the understanding and perfecting of the human form and all for one very distinct purpose. If the new launch game, Mad Karate Man, is to be believed, then that purpose is to waylay cell phone yapping, briefcase lugging, penny-loafer on casual Friday wearing businessmen, and kick them so hard they actually go into orbit.

Starmageddon With a special ship and enough firepower to sort out the 100 year war in an hour, head to the skies and dodge bullets.For whatever reason and whichever tactical handbook involved, you are heading into space to shoot down a colourful variety of enemy spaceships, always culminating to fighting a huge boss ship at the end (Come to think of it, why does the boss always fight alone.. you know what? I don't care).

Endless Migration Take control of a flock of Canada Geese and fly for as long as you can, gaining more birds to increase points, and avoiding their natural predators. Like propellers. With upgrades to buy, achievements to discover, and high scores to capture, Endless Migration is a solid, if repetitive, avoidance title for the goose in all of us. HONK!

Sucking a fleshy creature aboard your ship causes horrible yet delicious things to happen to them as they're processed into Man-in-a-Can.

You are the lucky prisoner chosen to pilot the Juggernaut, a killing machine outfitted with upgradeable weaponry. During each round in the arena you must not only survive onslaughts of machines and armed prisoners, you have to entertain the crowd, too.

The Tickler Get ready for a robotic destruction derby of vast proportions, as you blast, shock, and, um, "tickle" your way through 23 levels of fleshy foes who'd love to take you apart for the scrap metal. Hold down the mouse button to activate your super-extendable tickling arms, redesigned with slightly less giggly purposes in mind, and let no man, machine, or anything else stand in your way.

Frantic 2 Frantic 2 is as calming as a warm, lilac scented bubble-bath on a late summer night. Assuming your idea of calming is a screen filled with dozens and dozens of enemies, projectiles, power-ups, and laser fire. With three big levels, five modes of difficulty, upgrades, and more, Frantic 2 is prime scrolling shooter action for the twitch gamer in all of us.

Medieval Rampage 2 The tender story of a boy, his bow, and all the monsters that needed to be shot full of arrows. Medieval Rampage 2 is a top-down shooter chock full of upgrades, arrows, achievements, arrows, and fast-paced action across 25 levels and impossible odds. What it lacks in strategy it makes up for in action. Also, arrows. We can't stress this enough.

CycloManiacs Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a robot bicyclist free falling down a cliff into a pit of lava! If you think that sounds far too silly, you may not be ready for the sort of freewheeling craziness CycloManiacs is here to dish up. Featuring 20 different riders, unlockable stages, achievements, upgrades and more, it's a fast-paced racing game of a different breed.

Upgrade Complete Who could ever be satisfied just upgrading weapons systems and defensive towers? In Upgrade Complete, a shooter from Tony of Shift fame, you can upgrade practically anything you can think of. The title logo, the menu screen background, the user interface buttons... and oh yes, your weapons systems, too. How fast can you upgrade everything?

Neuron Neuron is an arena shooter battle between you and a multitude of evil, evil circles. Enemies spawn around the arena in waves, and your job is to kill them dead before they do the same to you. Kill or be killed, seems simple enough right? Now add in achievements, upgrades, perks, and particle effects a-plenty.

Warfare 1944 It's mightily easy to care about your tiny walking soldiers in Warfare 1944, the new real-time strategy game from Con Artist. They fall prone under fire, they take solemn aim, they dolphin tragically through the air when a mortar strikes. Your mind's mission may be to win the war, but your heart's mission is to protect your men. That's quite an accomplishment for a little Flash game.

Hedgehog Launch 2 Continue the fine, respected tradition of launching small creatures heavenward in this spiney sequel to the original Hedgehog Launch. The addition of new items to get and a slight graphical improvement wind up making this one feel like the game the original should have been, rather than a new game. Is it fun? Oh yes!

Starcom Starcom is a top-down space shooter and strategy game, with subtle RPG elements like a well-paced story progression and "missions." You are stationed aboard a Galactic Command Starbase (space station), playing the role of a space fighter pilot with a starting mission of fending off alien attacks. Starcom really shines, revealing story elements at just the right moments while incorporating it all into the gameplay progression.

Treasure Seas Inc. Have you ever wondered about what happens to all the bling that gets lost in the Bermuda triangle? Wonder no more! Treasure Seas Inc. is a business that makes its profit looting the submerged caves of a remote archipelago. This game will have you driving a cruiser around, submersing a sub, and looking for treasure. Treasure buys upgrades that allow you to explore further. It's like Metroid at the waterpark!

Bug Bug in Sky Tower Imagine the wandering ball of Within A Deep Forest encased in metal and set loose in your browser, and tell me you don't want to get into that Sky Tower. Bug Bug is the latest game to be released from Aqui Griffin's studio, a re-release of a game entered into our "ball physics" game competition in October with crucial improvements.

MAD: Mutually Assured Destruction MAD: Mutually Assured Destruction is a souped-up rendition of Missile Command with great art by Brad Baum and clever resource management design by Nic Daniel. Shoot missiles in an attempt to intercept other missiles, just like in the classic arcade game, but with a twist: Each missile you fire garners some resources that can be spent to upgrade buildings.
