The macabre adventure tale of a wolf battling demons, witches and at times villagers' enigmatic remarks continues with all the rich atmosphere and saturated plot lines that you expect from Hyptosis. This third installment is probably the best yet in terms of style and riddling puzzles. It still has a few drawbacks yet they're not enough to diminish the overall enjoyment of immersing yourself in this strange and twisted story.

Originally conceived as a simple experiment with a new game engine, they show the evolution of talent and determination all the way up to "A New Threat", which boasts a ton of replay value for one very odd but entertaining adventure.

A quirky off-kilter adventure puzzle platformer from PixelWelders, starring a Killbot who isn't too sold on the whole "killing" thing. Interesting Gravity Gun telekinesis mechanics and snarky writing is weakened by glitches and loose controls, but there are a lot of cool ideas displayed in this debut release.

A sad little diving helmet-faced robot charmed many fans back in 2007 in his game Automaton, but things didn't pan out as the developer expected for making sequels. This new point-and-click adventure doesn't provide plot closure and it's on the short side, but it does provide fans with a last round of puzzle solving and lovely animated cutscenes.

Trudge through the land in this 3D game as you scour the distant background for signs of the yeti. When you see him, aim and shoot, and hope you're good with a gun. A surprisingly haunting and chilling game from Vlambeer (with a great musical score from Kozilek), especially when it turns into night.

Although it's little more than a stunning map to walk around in, Andrew Yoder's Hubris is a surprisingly atmospheric experience that attempts to invoke emotion and set your imagination running around in a world void of conflict or interaction. Simply put, all you do in Hubris is march around and take in the view. There's a staircase, a small tower, plenty of intricate wall work with shadows and small openings, and a door waiting at the top. Despite (or, more likely, because of) the emptiness, you'll quickly become enamored with this small little game.

Science has proven that water physics are some of the most entertaining gameplay mechanisms ever created. Can you unravel the mystery before winding up a victim yourself? Artogon Games delivers a gorgeous adventure that takes a unique approach to hidden-object hunting that's worth checking out.

Dr. Urchin has kidnapped Coralline! Oh no! But hey, you're the bodacious glowfish, precisely the underwater dweller who can rescue her. The lushly-illustrated action adventure game Glow Fish is filled with exploration, unlockables, and size-related nomming challenges similar to flOw.

Lovely? Check. Creepy? Check. Moody? Triple-check! More interactive-art than anything else, this short point-and-click adventure takes you on an otherworldly journey from deep underground to your ultimate destination, past obstacles at once strange, tricky, and frightening. It isn't particularly challenging, but The Old Tree is a beautiful bit of stylised adventure to indulge in.

As the only human girl attending a school populated otherwise solely by birds, you have a hard time fitting it. But persevere and you may just find more than you expect. Clever, funny, strange, and shocking, Hatoful Boyfriend needs to be seen to be believed, and played all the way to the very last ending to truly appreciate. You won't regret it.

Finally, a quest we can all identify with (and a protagonist whose personality traits may or may not hit a little too close to home)! Dear Esther is an interactive story told through a first person adventure setting. There's very little gameplay to speak of, just a deep mystery about the deserted island you're walking on, along with unanswered questions surrounding a horrific crash and a book written by a long-lost explorer. What happened in this dreary place? And, better yet, can you find a way out?

The word 'orphanage' tends to conjure up images of starving waifs in ragged clothes begging for more gruel, doesn't it? However, the so-named orphanage in today's fantastic adventure hybrid from Orneon is not that type of orphanage, or at least, it doesn't appear so at first. This is a place for "special" children, children who have abilities that are outside of the norm. Unfortunately something has happened to both the orphanage and the children in The Agency of anomalies: Cinderstone Orphanage and it must quickly be put to rights before something terrible happens. Something even more terrible than a musical about cheeky pickpockets.

Arzea is a Metroidvania-style adventure game that demonstrates the kind of danger that magic can lead to. You're a wizard stranded in a strange world with only your wits and a variety of spells and upgrades to help you get home. Your main goal is to find your way home from the strange land of Arzea. There's at least a good half hour of gameplay here, probably closer to an hour if you're out to find all the upgrades and collectible shards.

The creators of Grisly Manor bring another beautiful but easy point-and-click puzzle adventure to your iOS. Yamada Box Legend is a quirky fantasy game that sends you spiraling into the Cardboard World after being the stooge for a magician's vanishing act. It's a graphically pleasing puzzle RPG adventure that will draw you in with its bizarre characters and engaging gameplay.

You're dead. But where normally that might mean Game Over, in this port of Capcom's gloriously quirky, surreal and imaginative puzzle adventure, it's only the beginning.
