DOOORS 4 58Works started the trend of endless escapes: a game where you must find your way through a door only to face another door that you must also puzzle your way out of. And 58Works still does it best, with this latest installment in the series. Once again you're called on to experiment: tapping, swiping, shaking and doing anything else you can with your mobile device to affect the scene on each level. Plenty of puzzles mean you'll always be on your toes, discovering new ways to have fun with just one wall and a door.

Kick the Critter It's been raining for forty days and forty nights, and M. Critter's home is seriously losing ground (as it were). But that jerk Noah won't let him on the ark! Thank goodness Critter's got an assortment of fantastical kicking machines he can use to launch himself toward the boat. Bounce off bats, get spiked on thorns, and shoot yourself out of a giant robot's arm cannon to reach the boat and give that Noah a piece of your mind!

Matryoshka (New Edition) The appeal of this charming escape game from the always cleverly inventive Kotorinosu, like the Russian nesting dolls it's named after, is in its many layers and surprises held within. As an all new edition of a previously released browser game, here you'll encounter fun new puzzles and a completely revamped visual design, with one of the most intuitive UIs a mobile escape game could ever hope for.

Castle Doombad It's good to be bad in this gorgeous and funny little tower defense game for iOS or Android where you must place traps to fend off the heroes trying to rescue the Princess... after all, you're trying to harvest her screams! Pay for it outright, or go "free-to-slay", but the most surprising thing might be how UNobnoxious Castle Doombad's free version actually is.

Magick Magick is a creative mixture of a puzzle game and a platform game designed by developer Ludonkey. Once upon a time in a place really far away there was a young sorcerer named Oz. A stranger knocked on his door one night to break the news that the evil queen had declared magic illegal. Not good news for a sorcerer, as you can imagine. Oz was tossed into a dungeon filled with snakes and lava and flying fireballs eager to turn him into toast. Leaving him for dead was a very super villain-type thing to do, but like most heroes, Oz didn't just give up and take a nap. Instead, he started making boxes to build a path to the surface!

Mobile Monday N°262 Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake accused of plagiarism, Flappy Bird creator's next game, and The World Ends with You doesn't end just yet! The Square Enix RPG finally makes its way to Android devices.

Project Alnilam Get the green shapes to the goal. Avoid the red shapes. Sounds pretty simple, right? But there's a hitch! You have three different three-dimensional shapes you need to move around, and each has their own movement pattern. Balls roll in one direction until they hit something. Cubes clink along one space at a time. And cylinders do... both? You'll have to manage a whole toy box full of different blocks all at once in order to get these shapes to the goal, and you only have a few moves to do it in!

Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake Join Nico and his monster friends on a quest to save the stolen birthday cake - and you'll discover that the whole island is at stake! When the Boogin monsters (those are the bad guys!) chase away Nico's dog, then the race is really on to collect all the cake and treasure the island will give up, and protect the lovely monsters who tag along to help.

Escape from NAGOYALAND Last month, the amusement park NAGOYALAND opened its doors in Japan, taking its name from the Nagoya cultures it reproduces. Whether or not the evil warlocks that dwell in a secret base in the park are part of that recreation is unclear. As Fairie Princess Satomi-- because we all know that Japanese fairy princesses double as secret agents-- it's your mission to sneak in, locate their secret base, and then, well, escape from NAGOYALAND. Perhaps this retro point-and-click puzzle adventure by Arata Takeya has a slightly absurd premise, but that's probably to be expected from a Japanese developer. Take a vacation to NAGOYALAND today!

Ramble Planet Ramble Planet is one of those quirky under-the-radar games you only get the privilege of stumbling across every couple of years. It plays like a scavenger hunt mixed with some RPG elements, though if you've been kicking around Earth planet for a few decades, you'll remember that most RPGs used to have that scavenger hunt feel to them. Ramble Planet simply takes that feature, intensifies it and peels off all the excess, sprinkling in some beguiling text snippets to spark your imagination.

SpellPix From mobile puzzle maestro Kris Pixton, SpellPix is a new take on the path-drawing logic puzzle seen in games like HUEBRIX or Conceptis' Link-a-Pix. The idea is to connect the marked letters to an identically marked letter somewhere else on the grid. The path can snake around as much as it likes, but it has to be unbroken. In SpellPix, each grid square has a letter, so with every pair of letters you match up, you'll also spell a word.

Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage Kraken Pack More Icebreaker, anyone? Nitrome has released the Kraken Pack for its slice-based physics puzzle mobile game Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage. The update contains new enemies, new characters, new missions, a new branching map with side paths, and a brand new boss fight described as "spectacular"! It also contains 40 new levels, bringing the total number of stages to just over 140. Android users finally have their chance to cut blocks on their devices, as the Kraken Pack also marks Icebreaker's debut on the Google Play marketplace. No downsides, just ice slides!

This means a harrowing journey through obstacle courses strewn with deadly spikes and unimaginable treachery. This also makes for a delightfully unique, remarkably gorgeous, and charmingly entertaining puzzle platform adventure.

North Wind: Trill of Consciousness North Wind: Trill of Consciousness by Henry Gosuen is a creative take on the platform exploration genre. You control the tiny hero named Dir who moves through a blocky world of spikes and obstacles and maze-like puzzles. Instead of scrolling levels that keep pace with the protagonist, though, you do all the swiping yourself from a stationary point of view. It's a bit like Office Rush, Rooms or Continuity, only with a decidedly sweeter metroidvania feel.

Can You Escape - Tower Can You Escape - Tower is a short point-and-click mobile room escape game created by MobiGrow. In what should be a familiar set-up, you find yourself trapped in a series of rooms with exits that are locked, barred, concealed or otherwise inaccessible. Your job is to get out, or throw your phone across the room trying! What sets Can You Escape - Tower apart is its striking sense of adventure. You're not just escaping, you're making an epic dash to freedom through a rendered fantasy world!

Pink Hour (Studio Pixel) There are only two words you need to see before downloading this game: Studio Pixel. The creator of Cave Story has been hard at work on the upcoming sidescrolling platformer Kero Blaster, but in the meantime, we get a free game! Pink Hour serves as a small taster for next month's big release, stuffing plenty of shooting, pixel-perfect jumps, and painfully high level of difficulty into its cute little package.

Fix My Car - Custom Mods FireRabbit is back with another car-themed point-and-click puzzle game! Fix My Car - Custom Mods takes the hidden object / room escape hybrid formula from the original Fix My Car and gives it a shiny new coat of acrylic urethane paint. This time, instead of fixing the old clunker you're replacing the old parts with shiny new ones. If only sprucing up the old rustbox was half as straightforward in real life!

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff Peter's town is destroyed, and it's totally not his fault! Blame the giant chicken. But whatever the reason, it's up to you to rebuild it, unlocking tons of characters, items, and hilarious animations along the way. David David is a game, an arcade game, and David is a very unusual game. Our little polygon hero finds himself in a world of abstract shapes and giant evil beasts that are out to eviscerate him one angle at a time. His only powers are the ability to run away like a little yellow belly and fire slingshot-like blasts at his foes. Sometimes he feels powerful, sometimes victorious, but there's always nagging feelings of helplessness and hopelessness in this dangerous world that just wants David to go away.

Cardinal Quest 2 Ready to die just a little bit more? Then you're ready for Cardinal Quest 2, the turn-based roguelike sequel to 2012's Cardinal Quest, brought to you by randomnine (maker of Fear is Vigilance and a consultant on the original Cardinal Quest game). You'll recognize the great pixel art and the procedurally generated maps of the first game, and appreciate the new complexity.

Words & Cards "Words & Cards," you ask, "could it be a game about dinosaurs and Swiss watches?" Alas, no. In Words & Cards, you've got to make a word from a pool of letters you share with your opponent. Each consonant in the word you play turns into a playing card, with which you can score extra points by making poker hands. It sounds simple (and it is), but there's more strategy involved than you might think.

Noir Syndrome Detective work isn't known for its shallow learning curve. Or for being the kind of thing you can do while standing in line at the post office. With Noir Syndrome, however, solving crimes has become quite a bit more casual. This pick up and play adventure game gives you randomly generated murder mysteries to solve, all you have to do is gather the clues and make the arrest! Oh, and pick a few locks, shoot a few baddies, and have a few snacks. Detectives gotta eat too, you know.

Sokoboom 2 Who needs bells and whistles? Not this little puzzle game. Though more of the same straightforward Sokoban as the original, this sequel keeps the presentation sleek and simple and the levels challenging to make it a satisfying and welcome little addition to the genre.

AErena: Clash of Champions Sail the skies and duke it out for supremacy in this colourful and engaging turn-based strategy RPG. With a fantastic steampunk vibe and easy to pick up combat, it's a fine addition to the genre you can even play on your mobile device.

Cabin Escape: Alice's Story Cabin Escape: Alice's story is a lively challenge for room escape fans, especially those that would like to see the clear, logical elements common to the best eastern-designed escapes presented with a western flair. Glitch Games brings the escaping joy with this impressive titbit.

Block Legend Block Legend is unfairly beguiling. We say this because it's so deceptively simple on the surface, yet its design allows for play sessions that never stop. And that's good, because you honestly won't want to. Created by Alvin Phu, Block Legend feels a lot like 10000000 mixed with Puzzle Quest (you know, back when it was good). It combines samegame with an RPG, allowing you to match tiles to attack, defend and level up. And it does so without ads, in-app purchases, or any other crazy gimmicks!

Mines of Mars Time to get digging. Mines of Mars is a wholly addicting mining and exploration game created by Crescent Moon Games. It plays a lot like the classic Motherload or the criminally underappreciated early iOS release iDigIt. Take your pickaxe and start pecking away at the soil, gathering metals and gems you can carry back to the surface to refine into useable materials. Then take those materials and upgrade your tools so you can dig even deeper!
